Exactly! I'm so fucking sick of them trying to justify themselves by preceding it with "I really don't like him but....".....bitch, yes you do fucking like him just own it and stop hiding behind your fake ass "Christian" veil. I'm tired of being nice about it, the person that wrote that can fuck off with their rationalizations. You just voted for someone who at the very least has fascist tendencies, that literally tried to keep himself in power with force when he lost the last election, who carelessly "stored" ie: stole (to sell??) classified documents in his fucking bathroom (where he's on tape bragging about showing them off to people)....who when asked to please give them back, absolutely refused and they ended up having to come take them forcefully (for which he wasn't even present for but then still used to victimize himself). Of course that just scratches the surface with him as far as his crimes and atrocities go but to me personally, those two things are particularly egregious for a president and should immediately disqualify ANYONE from running for public office ever again.

What it seems like to me is the next Democratic candidate is going to have to dumb themselves down in order to be "relatable"....that's where we're at now. Kamala being organized and prepared isn't seen as commendable, it's seen as "fake" and "robotic". Meanwhile Trump looking into space and weeble wobbling back and forth to music for 40 minutes at a TOWN FUCKING HALL where he should be answering questions or going on an insane rant about eating cats and dogs is something we should just wave our hand at dismissively, smile and say "oh that's just Trump being Trump".....no, fuck that. I consider myself to be a fairly optimistic person that tends to see the good in everybody and believe people are innately good for the most part. That's done. I was shocked in 2016 when he won but this time I'm not so much shocked as I am incredibly disappointed, sad and angry. Perhaps I'm understanding this way later in life than some and it's always been this way but realizing that basically half of this country really are just vile, selfish people that get off on being assholes is incredibly heartbreaking. The fact he's winning the popular vote this time is like salt in the wound. Then you have a huge chunk that are just nihilistic and want to burn it all down to the ground and he appeals to those people as well. At this point, we deserve what we get. We've had so many potential off ramps from this piece of scum for almost a decade and we very affirmatively decided THIS is the path we want to be on. I hope everyone gets whatever it is they want.....but your eggs are still gonna be expensive.

Oh and an extra big FUCK YOU to Mitch McConnell and Merrick Garland.

Brilliant post.  I am so sorry Kurt for you and all the Americans who have been let down this election by their fellow Americans.  Heart breaking and frustrating.

I truly thought Trump would lose badly and it disgusts me that so many would support this obnoxious revolting man and the MAGA group behind him who are so vicious, racist and sexist.

Thank you Jazzy!! :inlove: It's def confusing and hard to wrap my around but somehow a bunch of billionaires (Trump, Musk etc) ie: "elites" have convinced this group of people that are very vocal about their hate for the "elites" that they (the elites) are their savior. This is something that 20 yrs ago I'd never imagine could happen here. We're dipping our toes into some very scary, dark water and to think of what could happen in four years time is like a horror movie.

Like I said it's a verry similar situation/environment to 2016. But just waay more next level flagrant, awful because Trump WAS actually somewhat contained when he needed to be & largely unknown. 2020 was on it's own island. Biden was a hiccup, blip, mirage of back to normalcy. Nope. I knew/felt T would be back in 2024. A year that reverted back to 2016 angst & rage electorate because of 2020 (backlash to Covid DEI, George Floyd, BLM). It's NOT unusual for these swings to happen historically (backlash to 'what' caused the last change election).

But 50% of the US has now completely gone full algorithm of brain rot and rage (caused by Trump/Maga, right wing), Stockholm Syndrome-esque. They want to be his bitches. This election= 'they're fully there' now. *mandate. Green light. Do IT. Fully and enthusiastically approve of him and ALL of it (fascist 1930s language & policies, violence, dehumanizing etc..).

Major likely significant difference is w/ things like Project 2025 & other secretive right wing shit the people gave a massive okay too are the one who'll get scorched the hardest! AND may..likely won't even be able to get an election in '26 but esp. '28. Damage will be done w/out a legit ability to vote em out. But they still won't care and blame woke DEI demons.

Enough w/ the 'shy T voter shit' lmao, or 'ya know, I really disagree w/ his mean tweets at x but like the policy and paying 30 cents less for eggs'. While those are the same morons (ya, fng MORONS lol) who come thisclose to ramming into me at Costco, not giving 2 fuqs, not watching, high strung & aggressive af w/ their wagons at Costco stuffed to capacity w/ Plasma TVs and 100s of dollars of other junk. But...'them eggs and White Wonder bread prices are killing me!!'

I don´t know the States. I mean, I know what the news say, and I have family there, but it´s no my country. And, well, Trump winning hasn´t been a surprise. I didn´t expect him to win that easily, but we knew that he could win.Especially when they tried to kill him, it was clear that he had real posibilities.

Isn't it interesting that we have never ever heard about the incident again. No information was ever released. No medical records. Nothing. A right-wing Trump supporter trying to kill Trump? Why? No explanations given. And I suppose they never found the bullet. There must be a Hollywood movie out there with the exact storyline. And mark my words, in the not to distant future this will turn into "The Manchurian Candidate".

I agree: everything was fishy there. But the image was super powerful! fight ! fight!

and I´m not sure if he knew it. I mean, his team did it, but he, I´m not sure.

Nikki,  I think she is 100 % correct.  I would also go as far as saying that people don't want to see a woman in power.  I have watched so much coverage in the past few days and what has really come home strong is the amount of men ( of all races )  who openly say they don't believe a woman should be in power.  Even have seen religious black men saying straight out that they did not vote for Harris BECAUSE she is a woman.  One black man was asked in disbelief that did  he really vote for a man who praises white supremacists over a black woman and he answered yes because woman belong in the home and feminism destroys family.   So what does that say - he preferred a man who is a racist than a black woman.   Apparently that is a major reason why so many black man refused to vote for Harris and instead turned to Trump.  Ditto with Latin men,  Trump and his supporters have been demonising immigrants in the most hideous way and again some are opening saying they would rather vote for Trump over a woman and many are saying it.  I want to add that I am not saying it is the majority of black and latin men but some of them. Polls have proven that many have turned to Trump. I would expect that of white men because they are not discriminated against but I find it dreadful that minority and discriminated groups would vote for a man and his party who talks about them like dirt because they don't want to vote for a woman. It has been proved this election that many have voted for Trump who voted for Biden before.   As for white woman who would rather vote for Trump that a woman,  they themselves have to live with the fact that they voted in a party that has taken rights away from women that women have fought so hard for.   It is so frustrating.

Women have to admit that some men will NEVER vote for a woman.  This election has shown us that.

I applaud the black women of America and admire them greatly.  They stand by their convictions and I hate to think of them suffering because people refuse to vote for a woman.  They deserved more support from white woman and all men.

while I think being a woman makes it a lot more difficult to get elected, why haven't democrats showed up for her? you'd think abortion rights would be enough.. her campaign didn't work. I think it's a mistake to blame the voter and that the party needs to look inward. what was Kamala's message? that she'd do the same thing as Biden. Oh, and that she likes Liz Cheney. Biden had to leave earlier and they should've had primaries

edited to add: I think she started strong. having Tim Walz was a great choice.. but the campaign changed to please the donors and forgot the working class

This. Absolutely started seriously strong . Polls & energy were 2008-esque August-September. But by late September & esp October you def felt things were fizzling & not being able to maintain the momentum. Didn't plummet but more & more the longer she was Mia & basically went dark the media & GP were all over her for that & it def punctured things or flat lined at best. Trump didn't shut his mouth, full access to the press. And it worked!

NO idea why Tim Walz (who lobbied hard 24/7 for the VP doing the media rounds) also just went dark abruptly. Verry odd & F up imo. Most people didn't know much about her. You only have 3 months so u GOTTA be out there to close the deal! More she did actually speak (at best) it didn't really help unfortunately 😕 Bottom bold line I always strongly knew his people/brain rot cult was always and will continue to mob out for him! (~75 mill. people baseline). Vance and others, no way. It's Trump specific and visceral. Dems MUST get down, dirty, someone who is plain but effective spoken. Shapiro on live TV kept saying 'Trump shit talks the US'. He couldn't give 2 fcks. That is what's seriously needed asap. Not canned, scripted, overthinks. plays it safe etc...or from a dark blue state w/ a persona of 'elite far left'.

Anyways, I already miss Kamalaaa

I actually don't lol. This was (yet again) ALL about voting against something. All these polls for months showed 80-90% voting for her, Dems energized etc...*until I saw those exit polls on Election Night. Only around 69% for her ~30 against something. Trump had like at least 80+% enthused FOR him. Instant red flag and reeked of 2016 2.0 coming. Once that candidate surfaces who I'm fully emotionally voting FOR (like Maga is for Trump) you got a winner who'll put him and his wannabes away. Kamala was never close to being IT. All goes back to her 2019 Pres. campaign. End result of that.

Don't read the comments under her latest instagram post they are gross. So many white gay men putting her down saying they were scared of another 9/11 and voted for security or because they have no money. I cant believe people believed his lies.

I have said this before but the whole world has suffered financially not just America its due to Covid and greed. Biden did a good job with the economy just like my government is doing but because prices are sky high Trump and the media just attack and say things cost more and if you are paying more you will believe what they say. He wont bring prices down economists said he will make prices worse lol. Australia's national bank have said Trump's policies will make our interest rates higher lol.

The lie about immigration is annoying too all fear mongering. Oh well if white gays voted against their own interests they deserve what they get. Kind of true what they say about white gay men being racist and ownly caring aboutthemselves and not thinking of others. This vote was about protecting women and vulnerable people and other races basically people have shown they care more about money than their  fellow man or woman

ive seen it on madonna fan forums, like the madonna infinity forum which has many trump voters. they're delusional and have fallen for the right wing propaganda online, saying Biden is behind censorship online to protect a leftist narrative

a post by "Dita":

Quote

“Misinformation” is a recently introduced Orwellian propaganda term that was weaponized against the American public after Joe Biden took office with the intent of keeping anyone from being able to dissent against leftist narratives.

George Clooney is thinking of pulling out of a play as people are blaming him for the loss of the election because he demanded Joe Biden to step down. Biden was clearly unfit to do another four years!

Walz did go quiet but weren't there some scandals brewing around him? That's when I stopped hearing about him.

As for the election, basically it came down to cost of living and immigration - very similar to the UK. Your average person is just trying to get on with life.

It’s about power. Who’s got it and more importantly who is willing to use it and keep it? That’s what it is all about.
And yes, the right has been playing this game for a long time and are better at it; they are reaping the fruits now.

Democracy was my number 1 issue this time around. People don't understand how fragile democracy is. It's just a set of laws and traditions that anyone can break if they brainwash enough of the population. And that's exactly what trump did.

Who says he won't become Vice President in 2028? No law says he can't. He'll be the one pulling the strings.

The judicial system will be filled with MAGA people, he'll make sure election decisions in various states will be approved by MAGA appointees, he'll intervene heavily in the Federal Reserve, he'll use rogue economic plans that can be devastating for the economy in the future, he'll move federal offices to red states to ensure a far-right winged workforce, etc, etc.

This has happened in many countries where the far right is trying to subvert the voice of the center-left (Russia, Hungary, they're trying to do it in Poland and Israel, etc...).

The only saving grace, if there is any, is that he's old. He's not 60. But I already checked for you all.....his parents died in their 90s 😕

THIS. And a lot of people strongly feel he ain't making it anywhere close to 4 years lol. Even for him (ya always been a mess) but something is off. The degree of incoherent ranting, looking & sounding reeally rough. Not at all who/what he was in 2015-even just a couple years ago.

But the other something besides his health is the VANCE & Peter Theil/Project 2025 factor. Word always was/is more than ever they personally loathe Trump. I feel he 'won' but is absolutely useless now to them. He achieved their massive power grab. But Vance is a laboratory created & tested vessel who's fully obedient and YOUNG, slick, able to do & say what Trump says but in a more 'polished, middle of the road' deceptive way. I def. predict when not if this shiate is all about Vance. And even if he's a stiff & lacks the connection w/ the Maga base (like Pence) if elections & election systems as we knew it are forever cooked like in Russia, Vance won't be going anywhere for 40 years.

FFS, really!?! Clooney was RIGHT. Biden would've absolutely gotten blown to pieces in places like *New Jersey!! lmao. Blue Biden Maga on X after his debate disaster was grating as absolute fuq for about a month! Dunno how much of it were bots/trolls fng around trying to keep him in FOR Trump but it was a verry loud vocal minority for a while and were beyond delusional and nuts. Biden would've gotten maybe 41-42%% (his approval) if he stayed in= 1980-esque landslide. Kamala (w/ a 3 month campaign got around 48% once it's all over). A loss but not a bloodbath at all as it would've been w/ Biden. He had to GO. But 2022/2023 (latest).

For NJ and some other dark blue/blue states she 'eeked' out a win. 5-10 points is eeking out a win in places like that. It's like if Trump won by 5-10 in Wyoming or West Virginia would've been a Kamala landslide! Long as there's a legit election in '28 only way Dems win (esp after all the upcoming bonkers extremism the next 2-4 years) is w/ a Bill Clinton-esque moderate, pragmatic, great, clear, crisp, relatable but forceful communicator.

Kamala better than BERNIE in his own state of Vermont!! lol. Blatant backlash to the far left, woke, Squad etc...Ya, the far right def. worse in so many ways imo but the country is center right by default. Dems project/pulsate in their messages (again loudest, most vocal minorities) fixation w/ social issues, DEI, identity politics etc...and everything summer 2020. Far right effectively made the case (wrong or not) and those swingy voters decided to sway to them this year.
