It's despicable how that comment always gets swept under the rug by his supporters and others that like to "but both sides...." Trump and treat him like a normal candidate that's comparable to any of his opponents (in primaries and general elections). He's not a normal candidate and never has been. HE'S NOT EVEN A REAL REPUBLICAN! What should've happened in 2016 is the media and the Republican party should've laughed him out of the candidacy by treating him like the illegitimate joke he is and/or simply ignoring him. He was the only "exciting" choice though for them at that time. Absolute ratings gold. Listening to the likes of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush etc was as exciting as watching paint dry. This time around though, it's time for them to humiliate him the way he has always deserved to be humiliated. Force everyone to see what a flat out little worthless, scared pussy boy this POS is....well to quote Madonna, maybe "pussy man" is a more appropriate term since he is in fact an old, desperate, declining man. Anyways, Trump has not only told us his plan but he gave a preview of it from Nov 2020-Jan 2021. The 1/6 attack isn't just about what happened that day, it's the wheels he put in motion prior to and the intent behind it that make it so criminal on his part. The horror of it all is that all of that sounds like a dress rehearsal compared to the propositions in Project 2025. I'd say if you read that and don't raise an eyebrow or it doesn't give you pause, you're probably a bit of a nihilist.

How can he mention that he will suspend democracy in the USA if he is elected and it doesn't make the front page of all serious media? This statement is extremely serious, but it does not cause a stir but we have just gone through a month of articles and reports on the slightest error in a sentence made by Biden. Anyone who doesn't understand there is only one possible choice in this election is a dangerous fool who wants to live in a theocracy. Period. FUCKING BAM! ON THE NOSE!! Jazzy Jan
9 hours ago, Martin B. said: It is sad to see a presidential candidate openly threatening to suspend democracy, supporting a group that has released a 900-page manifesto explaining how they are going to turn the country into a theocracy and no one panics, no one cares. 8 years ago, anyone with average intelligence and minimal interest in politics could very well understand that this was his long-term goal. Now, he shouts it out loud and there is still no fuss. Exactly. This SHOULD be leading ALL news reports/articles everywhere but it is only through this forum I have seen it. That in itself is an absolute disgrace from the media and is incredibly frustrating and frightening. Trump gets away with so much because he is so idiotic, obnoxious and offensive that people foolishly shrug him off or tune out to the danger to him. What he is saying here though is against everything America stands for - the destruction of democracy and it is being planned meticulously by others smarter than this fool who are dangerous, insidious and have no guilt about bringing their fascist ideology into law. The media should be making this a main talking point.

Raider of the lost Ark
I have just read that the German publisher of J.D. Vances book Hillbilly Elegy has decided to no longer publish him and his book. I wonder at what point Glenn Close and Amy Adams will step forward and make a statement. I don't think they appreciate to be associated with him. Spitting in the face of democracy and truth and supporting fascism. picking jd vance was a big mistake. he won't win again. he lost against "sleepy Joe" and people weren't that excited to vote for him in 2020 (from what I've seen, most dems just voted to go against Trump) unlike with Joe (and even with Hillary) many young people are very excited to vote for Kamala this time. it reminds me of the Obama nomination. the amount she's raised in such a short time is something that's never happened before. there's a lot of excitement. whyme?
Shapiro should have been the pick! They need a charismatic moderate democrat to appeal to other moderates and independents. And Pennsylvania would have been a sure win. What idiots! This nobody Walz will be as forgotten as Hillary's pick in 2016!

Ciccone's Cheeks
Take it back. Walz IZ IT! Lol Killed it in Philly earlier! I was lmao. He's GOOD. Ace #2. Shapiro just too ambitious & absolutely POTUS (when not if). But rn it's obv. not his time yet. Only 51 so when he's Kamala age (right now) will be *his time. He'll be just finished up w/ 2 terms as Gov. (2030) & she'll almost be done (2032). He just gotta wait a couple yrs.

Martin B.
Waltz is a great choice. Shapiro was a good choice mathematically to ensure she won Pennsylvania (but she will win it anyway) BUT it fueled cynicism by favoring a transparent strategy over any principles. Waltz is a good strategic choice to speak to rural audiences in key states but also contributes to the overall campaign vibe which aims to be the opposite of Trump's eternal doomsday-hate-rage: positive, energetic, exuding joy of life, with a desire to move forward. runa
A few interesting tidbits about Walz, I read in my newspaper, this morning. Sorry for the bad translation !! *He named a highway after Prince and signed the bill in purple ink. "I think we can say this is the coolest bill signing we've ever done," he said as he signed the bill designating a stretch of Highway 5 as the "Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway," in honor of the musician who lived in Minnesota. *He was one of the first to support gay rights. At Mankato West High School in Minnesota during the 1990s, he sponsored a gay-straight alliance and noted that it was important at the time for the sponsor to be "the football coach, who was a soldier, heterosexual, and married." When he won his seat in the House in 2006, in a conservative district, he ran on a platform supporting same-sex marriage. *He and his wife had their two children through in vitro fertilization. It took them seven years of fertility treatments to have their daughter, whom they named Hope. Mr. Walz publicly shared this experience after a Supreme Court decision in Alabama challenged in vitro fertilization treatments in that state. *He is Lutheran. More specifically, he sometimes describes himself as a "Minnesota Lutheran." "Because we're good Minnesota Lutherans, we have a rule: if you do something good and talk about it, it no longer counts," Walz joked during a speech last spring. "So you have to make sure someone else talks about you." *He stopped drinking after being convicted of driving under the influence in 1995. Mr. Walz said he quit drinking alcohol after being pulled over for speeding in 1995 and failing a sobriety test. His wife told him at the time, "You have obligations to people. You can't make stupid choices." *He doesn't drink coffee either. He prefers Diet Mountain Dew, just like his Republican counterpart.
