  1. Update from latest Arizona numbers: Trump needs to win more than 67.8% of the remaining votes(down from 68.1%). NBC News website estimates there are only 115,398 ballots left to count so Trump would need 78,272 of those just to tie.
  2. I made a spreadsheet to do the math on the remaining states based on current vote totals and estimated outstanding votes In order to take Arizona, Trump would need to win 68% of the remaining votes. He currently has been winning 48.7% Georgia: Trump needs to win 66% of the remaining votes. He currently has been winning 49.3% Nevada: Trump needs to win 73% of the remaining votes. He currently has been winning 48.0% Pennsylvania: Trump needs to win 61% of the remaining votes. He currently has been winning 49.1% While mathematically possibly, it is highly unlikely he can
  3. Favorites change a lot, but because of the way I mostly consume my music (at the gym and in my car) I'm more frequently drawn to the faster-paced stuff: Faz Gostoso God Control (My personal custom edit without the long intro so I can get into my workout faster) Crave Come Alive I Don't Search I Find

  5. Have we not learned how much of what Madonna does is to be taken ironically? Her use of guns was meant to be criticism, not an endorsement. Like Material Girl wasn’t an endorsement of materialism but a critique of it.
  6. What's comforting about these last electoral maps is that states that are supposedly "swing" states - Ohio, Iowa, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia. Hillary could lose every single one of those states and still win the Presidency. They're important for Trump to win, but don't really matter for her. If he loses any one of those, that would probably mean a landslide electoral win for Hillary. I hate looking at these because I don't want to get too overconfident and be let down. But it is looking good for her.
  7. I went to see the Drowned World Tour in Los Angeles on Sept 9, 2001 and then 9/11 happened two days later. She had the last three scheduled dates of the entire tour still left in LA. She postponed one date but went on stage wearing an American Flag kilt just a few days later (Sept 13-15). I vividly remember watching the news on TV and hearing a city spokesman mentioning event cancellations in light of the attacks and when he announced Madonna's shows would go on he made the comment, "Nothing stops Madonna".
  8. Maybe she'll perform Gambler in Vegas.
  9. Started in 1984--Madonna era. Built up slowly as the singles started coming out. From Holiday to Borderline and my fandom exploded by the time Lucky Star came out. I was just 13.
  10. I love it...fits the irreverent theme of the song. Not sure what other people were expecting. I'm happy...just wish I could see the last seconds of the video!!!!
  11. 1. Bitch I'm Madonna 2. Ghosttown 3. Living For Love
  12. I listen to at least a few tracks every day. My mood generally depends on which tracks I listen to. I do find that the lyrics of Iconic always give me my motivation to push extra hard at the gym. haha
  13. One of my all-time favorite Madonna songs. The Silver Screen and Movie House mixes...
  14. I love how she's just seems to be having so much fun this era. You can see that she's at a good point in her life right now and that there is so much more joy in what she's doing.
  15. I loved all three at the time and never really thought of them in competition. During the 80s I'd say the only real direct rival was Cyndi Lauper and that was more media perpetuated than a fan war. The fan wars really took off as the internet and the first newsgroups came along in the 90s.
  16. One thing that stood out in the 80s too is that she was very much an enigma. Sure her videos were out there, but she was rarely on talk shows or even awards shows other than the VMAs. Her first American Music Awards performance was for Take A Bow in 1995 and her first Grammy performance wasn't until Nothing Really Matters. Can you imagine any of today's popular "princesses" not doing a mainstream awards show until 10-12 years after their debut? On the talk show side she did Johnny Carson/Tonight Show in like 1987 and Letterman in 1988 together with Sandra Bernhart and some MTV interviews. Th
  17. A fan here since Holiday was climbing the charts in 1984 when I was just a teen. First time I actually ever saw her was when she sang "Holiday" on a TV show called Solid Gold (I missed out on the Bandstand performance). I remember all the Madonna vs. Cyndi Lauper articles. I bought all of M's cassettes over the years and was a pretty big fan. Some of my greatest memories include seeing the Papa Don't Preach video for the first time and then the teasers for the Like A Prayer/Pepsi commercial and getting super hyped about the song/commercial. Then actually seeing the commercial and the video w
  18. I'm assuming Shazam will offer some sort of special content. I used to have the app on my iPhone until ios8 came out with song ID capability. Now I just ask Siri "What song is this?" and she tells me. It's a lot faster than opening the app. I did just re-download it so I can see if it does give anything special. Then I'll probably delete the app again.
  19. I just deleted and then re-downloaded Ghosttown and the cracks and page turn sound at the beginning are still there. Could be that it was remastered and those sounds were always meant to be. Or maybe it's just the same version it has always been.
  20. The point is not the subjective quality of the songs. It's about songs that didn't peak very high on the charts, yet have had legs and may surprise people by just how poorly they peaked. For example, "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order peaked only at #98 and "I Melt With You" by Modern English only peaked at #76. I'm sure lots of people would have thought that both of those songs were top 10s given how they are 80s staples/classics and both have been used in lots of films since then.
  21. Nothing Really Matters is there as an honorable mention at #93 too.
  22. I'll bet the people complaining about the intentional noises are people who also returned their copy of Music a few times because they thought the beginning of "Don't Tell Me" was the CD actually skipping...
  23. 1. Ghosttown 2. Bitch I'm Madonna 3. Living for Love 4. Devil Pray 5. Unapologetic Bitch 6. Illuminati Would prefer Ghosttown as the lead single but I'm okay with LFL. I love Bitch I'm Madonna but in no way do I think it would be a good choice as a single at any point.
