It is insane that this idiot still has supporters.  😞 He is beyond a joke and a complete moron.

There is an unbelievable amount of idiots and morons though who choose to worship this pussyfucker. Have you seen videos on TikTok or Insta when his supporters  are being interviewed on abortion, gay rights, immigration, etc. ?

And despite ALL of this - he's still on track to win the nomination and has a 50/50 shot at getting back into the White House. I just can't imagine the horrors that will come out of a 2nd term with him and his lackeys this time around. Hurts my head.

he is going to win the elections, no doubt about it

Everyone I know from USA, even some distant relatives who live there for 30-40 years said that Biden is the weakest USA president ever and destroyed the country, that's why they all vote for Trump.

Of course, all this talk of Biden being the worst president ever is the biggest nonsense because the FACTS do not back that claim up. All the statistics used for ages (no matter if Republicans and Democrats were in power) show the contrary is true. Of course, how people FEEL is a different matter. And especially those in the U.S. that are bombarded with lies from politicians that went to the Joseph Göbbels School of public relations, the likes of (add name of almost everyone in the Republican party here), feel that they feel or at least need to feel bad. It is a mass delusion. Especially the way they react to all the Trump trials, shows they are delusional. Or extremely dumb, which is very well possible since the U.S. educational system is one of the worst in the so called first world. Among many other things the U.S. is subpar. But those are social issues and we all know everything that is social, which basically means to improve the overall living conditions of people, is branded communism, socialism. All the things Americans have been trained to despise and reject. The indoctrination that the U.S. was "best country in the world" is still working. The ignorance is astounding.

Do I believe Trump can win 2024? No. Because at this point everyone, except for MAGA loons, is so disgusted by this man and his sycophants that voting for him is out of question.

Do I think that Biden running in 2024 is a good idea? No. But for strategic reason. I think the goal of the next election should not only be to keep the presidency but to gain control of house and senate with big majorities. But who is supposed to be the candidate? I think Gavin Newsom will be ideal.

What if Trump wins in 2024? I think a secession of all East Coast and West Coast States should be discussed, to form a new United States. Maybe states like Michigan, Illinois and Colorado may join. Leave all the fly over states to the MAGA people, to create their very own Gilead. They will soon realize how life is without all the tax money pumped into their states from the likes of California and New York.

He absolutely can win again. I’m not sure why Progressives are becoming so complacent (again) with this thinking that there’s no way he can win. Biden didn’t win in a landslide in 2020 - it was by like 45,000 votes across 3 states (Georgia, Arizona, & Wisconsin) that put him in the White House. If the economy goes to hell or inflation ticks back, it wouldn’t be hard for Trump to flip those 45,000 voters into his column. He’s running a far more refined, disciplined and traditional type of political campaign  this time around too I’m noticing.

So as long as the Republican Party CONTINUES to stand by him, prop him up, and make excuse after excuse after excuse for this guy - he undoubtedly can muster his way back to Washington.

And as for Gavin Newsom - I don’t agree that he’s a strong candidate. A never ending barrage of ads with LA, San Francisco and other California cities in all their homelessness glory on loop for months won’t play well with the suburban voter Dems need in order to win. “HE WILL TURN THE U.S INTO THIS!” que images of tent cities & needles and human waste on the sidewalks. I like the guy. I do. He’s sharp and great on his feet. But he’s too risky.

Gretchen Whitmer - who won my state of Michigan by 11 points last fall - is sorely underrated, overlooked & under appreciated among Dems. She helped our state gain a trifecta of progressive dominance for the first time in my lifetime. First time Dems control Lansing in 40 years. She knows how to appeal to the middle and win.

Indeed. She would be a great choice. Very likeable person. I don't think she is underrated. What is her position on running? Does she even consider running for president or vice president? Maybe that's why she is overlooked among democrats because she has never shown interest. On the other hand, being asked is nice from time to time as it shows far more appreciation. Maybe democrats should ask her.

She’s been coy about it. Saying she wants to finish the job here in Michigan. But they all say that. Personally, I’d hate to lose her here but feel like she’d be a great national candidate.

She was 2nd on the VP list in 2020 from what a lot of Michigan political insiders say.

No doubt he will use this as a badge of honor to grift his stupid, pathetic cult some more.

It's working though. Every time he goes on about it and his charges, donations go up. Victim culture works on both sides.

Yep, you're absolutely right about that! His polling numbers among Republicans go up with each indictment.

I like many others, still have PTSD from the 2016 election tbh but I truly don't think he could (legitimately) win a general election at this point. The majority of independent voters that carried him to victory in 2016 dropped him long ago but in this insane political climate anything can happen so it's definitely way to early to breathe any sighs of relief. One thing that's frightening is the fact that six out of eight of the GOP candidates have said they'd support Trump if he were the nominee so really, they're no better than he is in my book. Anyone that is willing to support someone that literally attempted to keep themselves in power after losing an election isn't fit to be president on that basis alone. If you have no respect for the integrity of elections you don't need to be in office.

It's a bleak situation when Chris Christie is the best option as far as GOP presidential hopefuls go. He does the bare minimum and calls Trump out on his corruption and anti-Democratic words and actions. So, at this point, if Trump for some reason isn't the nominee, then I hope Christie is. The greatest terror threat in the US right now is domestic right wing extremism, so we absolutely can't have someone that's willing to pick up Trump's baton and continue with the MAGA agenda as the other option in the event Biden loses. Speaking of, the most fucked up part of this is that as unpopular as Biden may be, outside of the MAGA cult he's nowhere as deeply despised as Trump is so, going up against Trump is his best bet for a win. So yeah, I want to see him held accountable, barred from running and jailed but that very well could open the door to MAGA: The Next Generation calling the White House home come Jan '25.

I don´t know if biden has destroyed the country or not, but he seems too old to be president, at least the images that we see about him are not good, falling sleep, or saying weird things like god save the queen

He's old and he stutters but a lot of these "incidents" are completely mischaracterized and taken out of context. He's actually done quite a bit of good since he's been in office.

I was answering somebody using his/her words. Again, I don´t know anything about biden´s national politics. With obama, we knew some things, with him we don´t know anything. well, actually, only one thing, when he spoke in the senate I think, and apparently he was brilliant. But the rest of the things that we  know are things like he falling sleep, or falling of the bycicle...

I have hope that people outside the MAGA cult will reject Trump.  Americans always have held pride in their democracy and Trump and his cult like supporters have done everything possible to destroy democracy.  It would be insane to elect him back in as President and would be goodbye to their valued democracy.

I should've clarified that he's running a more traditional and disciplined campaign for DONALD TRUMP. And compared to 2016 and 2020, I think it's pretty undeniable that he's more focused. He's not savaging John McCain, not attacking the other Republican candidates, not Tweeting out word vomit about every petty thing, not attacking journalists like he was. So in this regard, I'd say he's more disciplined.

Which is worrisome.

There may be just enough voters who might say 'well,  he's not acting as crazy as he used too. Maybe this time will be different'. It's the same small crowd who voted for him in 2016 who thought he'd settle down once he got into the White House. If he can pull some of them back into his camp, then he wins. And I have NO DOUBT this term would be even more of a nightmare than his first. So, yes, I'm extremely concerned about the election next year.

Do people not have an issue with the protests and storming parliament to overturn an election ?  What I find so staggering.   That is fascism to the dot.   I understand that people are conservative voters but there is a huge difference between being conservative and supporting fascism and crazy conspiracy theories.

When I see Trump and the likes of Marjorie Taylor Green etc having support, it is like we have regressed back to the dark ages.
