Yes. He now is owning the press and the courts. Only the American people themselves can stop it but I doubt it. With Paramount giving in to his crazy demands, it is like the final nail in the coffin. America might end up like Russia, North Korea etc where the entire press, courts and law enforcement is owned by the likes of leaders like Putin and his buddies. The way Trump's cabinet etc all just feign and crawl to him, it is going exactly the same way. So weird to see a country that opening and proudly cherished their democracy becoming like the places and ideologies that they all once fought against.
they won't. Too dense and lazy. Most are 'highly uneducated' which is exactly what/who he was super vocal about winning over TEN years ago. Sick af to *still hear these Twitter/X dolts & media people still insist 'he's so dumb & dementia ridden' etc...rantings. No.
He knew/knows exactly what he's doing and was a LONG game.

^ yup. What you're gonna continue getting are slime bag, greedy media HACKS like Jake Tapper on CNN etc...all 24/7 crazed coverage on BIDEN coverups and other soft targets for quick cheap clicks & book sales. You better believe this is 200% the same playbook '1st they came for this one/group, then the next group'. Only a matter of when (not if) a prominent journalist, entertainment star, or random people speak out then 'get shipped' somewhere. As the Supreme Court of Maga TOOLS 'allow' it.

Hands over face. It's absolutely fully ON- waay past just 'walking slowly into autocracy'. US masses and media are his Stockholm Syndrome bitches. Only gonna get worse...way worse until he's 12 feel under & returns to the swamp he pooped out of 79 yrs ago. That's it. Shameful. One thing to be witnessing it in Europe or Australia...even Canada. But being here IN the US it's beyond dire and rancid. Everywhere you go you hear, feel and smell it.

Yep just heard about that!
I think there's w.w. 'incumbent' major problem that's just not letting up. Def. favors the far right sided extremes but overall no matter WHO is in office (any kind of incumbency) is toxic now. It's why AOC has never been more popular. Personally, not at all a fan but her give could 2 shits *fighting voice/demeanor mixed in w/ far left populism polices is gobbling up the walking zombie that's the Chuck Schumer Dem. party. He's atrocious and would get cremated now if there was a primary. It's coming and strongly feel she's gonna decimate him in 2027/28.

Well done Australia! Just as in Canada, common sense has prevailed. Great news in times when basically all information coming from the USA at the moment is bad. It appears, that Trump & Co. is isolating the USA. It feels good to know that basically the rest of the world stands against this maniac and his sycophants. It gives a feeling of safety to know that the EU, Canada, Australia, Japan (and certainly more countries) are on the same page when it comes to fight the current agression of the Trump administration.
This. Like I just said in another post it's a *specific US centric issue. Literally everywhere else there's no 'second guessing' or spinning, threading the needle 2 sides bullshit (which the media is fixated on here & corrupt the so called 'swing voter' dopey masses). If you're a shit person and candidate basically anywhere else you're booted! Like what just happened in Canada. He didn't just lose the PM election but his SEAT! lol. That never ever happens in the US anymore. Quite the opposite.

I know you all hate Trump and the right wing conservatives worldwide from the politics threads so bringing some good news about Australia completely rejecting the right wing parties - some who were using Trump's playbook tactics. First Canada and now Australia in the last couple of weeks. Some good news
Yes, well aware about how the much better the Aussie election odds are now! Thanks xx
NOW just need this pattern (& hopefully more than a 'trend') same outcome for the US 2026 Midterms! Unfortunately, I feel the US has a pre existing glitch for this shiate & like Stockholm Syndrome always keep coming back not just to Trump but all the wretched, useless lawmakers in Congress who KEEP getting reelected! Even if there's a recession or god forbid something worse. Being in the US, telling you *everything Trump in the media etc...has truly never been worse. He's a nearly 80 yold man who's purposely trying to torch the economy but the 'flooding the zone' of this swine has actually never been worse in TEN years of dealing w/ this shit storm lol.

My god Rosie looks fantastic! Best she's looked and sounded in ages.
I think it's more moving OUT of the malignant US than moving to Ireland as great as that country is.
-
Ugh...FFS US is absolutely a w.w. pariah now! It's ALL about who/what your leader is. 'Most Americans don't agree' isn't gonna cut it. These demon skunks won the popular vote!
If one hasn't seen the clip yet it's actually 10x worse than what you may have heard or be thinking. Total thuggery, ambush!! My god.
-
And ya, him winning the popular vote feels way less flukey so= less outrage/ organic 'shock' vs 2016.
He legit WON. Of course, there was likely some voting fvckery, suppression etc..as insurance but he legit made ground in bright blue states w/ previously key Dem. demos. Only lost NJ by like 5 points! Lol He closed the gap everywhere.
Tbh Harris highly likely prevented more of an electoral catastrophe. She was a default (not Trump or Biden) candidate. I strongly believe literally until election night both T & Harris believed was a coin flip (1.5%) in either direction.
Biden/Harris were a dreadful duo & T was basically always tied, close to it or even ahead (esp against Biden!) for many months.
It's why Rachel Maddow/MSNBC etc...are tanking & minimal 'resistance'. She's hungry AF to be THE voice of resistance people turn to like in 2017/18 & ratings surge. Nope. Lol
Kind of pathetic watching her show now of 'protests' of like 200 people in major cities lol but makes it out like it's the 2017 sized revolt.

THIS x5000. I & many others I know feel the exact same way. Apathy esp towards the DOPES from those marginalized groups!

Yet, he's been 24/7 p*ssing (while hysterically laughing) all over Biden/Kamala for 2 months! I seriously doubt both. I'd be shocked if Democrats nominated another woman in my lifetime. Democrats reportedly have a deep bench to select from, but honestly, I think over half the country is too stupid to vote for their own interests, and after Trump 2.0, we'll officially be an oligarchy with just an illusion of democracy.
I DO think Whitmer could've done it. Biden caved in 2020 by the DEI mob to pick Kamala. Word is he really liked Whitmer and thought she was the 'best Governor in the country'. Waay better candidate than Kamala ever was. Charismatic, competent, charming, great communicator, serious, Gov. of a key state etc...Kamala was and will always be simply a terrible, disconnected, clunky, robotic candidate. 2024 was just too baked in & in the cards to favor Trump. Incumbents w.w. getting cooked.
So tbh considering how awful she was as a candidate & only had 100 days actually did NOT do that badly lol. But NO doubt if Biden ran again would've been landslide-like. Talking losing places like New Jersey, Virginia, New Mexico, Minnesota etc...Kamala at least did about the same as Hillary.

George Clooney is thinking of pulling out of a play as people are blaming him for the loss of the election because he demanded Joe Biden to step down. Biden was clearly unfit to do another four years!
Walz did go quiet but weren't there some scandals brewing around him? That's when I stopped hearing about him.
As for the election, basically it came down to cost of living and immigration - very similar to the UK. Your average person is just trying to get on with life.
I saw that too. Votes are still being counted. 16 million plus still outstanding.
FFS, really!?! Clooney was RIGHT. Biden would've absolutely gotten blown to pieces in places like *New Jersey!! lmao. Blue Biden Maga on X after his debate disaster was grating as absolute fuq for about a month! Dunno how much of it were bots/trolls fng around trying to keep him in FOR Trump but it was a verry loud vocal minority for a while and were beyond delusional and nuts. Biden would've gotten maybe 41-42%% (his approval) if he stayed in= 1980-esque landslide. Kamala (w/ a 3 month campaign got around 48% once it's all over). A loss but not a bloodbath at all as it would've been w/ Biden. He had to GO. But 2022/2023 (latest).
For NJ and some other dark blue/blue states she 'eeked' out a win. 5-10 points is eeking out a win in places like that. It's like if Trump won by 5-10 in Wyoming or West Virginia would've been a Kamala landslide! Long as there's a legit election in '28 only way Dems win (esp after all the upcoming bonkers extremism the next 2-4 years) is w/ a Bill Clinton-esque moderate, pragmatic, great, clear, crisp, relatable but forceful communicator.
Kamala better than BERNIE in his own state of Vermont!! lol. Blatant backlash to the far left, woke, Squad etc...Ya, the far right def. worse in so many ways imo but the country is center right by default. Dems project/pulsate in their messages (again loudest, most vocal minorities) fixation w/ social issues, DEI, identity politics etc...and everything summer 2020. Far right effectively made the case (wrong or not) and those swingy voters decided to sway to them this year.

Democracy was my number 1 issue this time around. People don't understand how fragile democracy is. It's just a set of laws and traditions that anyone can break if they brainwash enough of the population. And that's exactly what trump did.
Who says he won't become Vice President in 2028? No law says he can't. He'll be the one pulling the strings.
The judicial system will be filled with MAGA people, he'll make sure election decisions in various states will be approved by MAGA appointees, he'll intervene heavily in the Federal Reserve, he'll use rogue economic plans that can be devastating for the economy in the future, he'll move federal offices to red states to ensure a far-right winged workforce, etc, etc.
This has happened in many countries where the far right is trying to subvert the voice of the center-left (Russia, Hungary, they're trying to do it in Poland and Israel, etc...).
The only saving grace, if there is any, is that he's old. He's not 60. But I already checked for you all.....his parents died in their 90s
THIS. And a lot of people strongly feel he ain't making it anywhere close to 4 years lol. Even for him (ya always been a mess) but something is off. The degree of incoherent ranting, looking & sounding reeally rough. Not at all who/what he was in 2015-even just a couple years ago.
But the other something besides his health is the VANCE & Peter Theil/Project 2025 factor. Word always was/is more than ever they personally loathe Trump. I feel he 'won' but is absolutely useless now to them. He achieved their massive power grab. But Vance is a laboratory created & tested vessel who's fully obedient and YOUNG, slick, able to do & say what Trump says but in a more 'polished, middle of the road' deceptive way. I def. predict when not if this shiate is all about Vance. And even if he's a stiff & lacks the connection w/ the Maga base (like Pence) if elections & election systems as we knew it are forever cooked like in Russia, Vance won't be going anywhere for 40 years.

Anyways, I already miss Kamalaaa
I actually don't lol. This was (yet again) ALL about voting against something. All these polls for months showed 80-90% voting for her, Dems energized etc...*until I saw those exit polls on Election Night. Only around 69% for her ~30 against something. Trump had like at least 80+% enthused FOR him. Instant red flag and reeked of 2016 2.0 coming. Once that candidate surfaces who I'm fully emotionally voting FOR (like Maga is for Trump) you got a winner who'll put him and his wannabes away. Kamala was never close to being IT. All goes back to her 2019 Pres. campaign. End result of that.

while I think being a woman makes it a lot more difficult to get elected, why haven't democrats showed up for her? you'd think abortion rights would be enough.. her campaign didn't work. I think it's a mistake to blame the voter and that the party needs to look inward. what was Kamala's message? that she'd do the same thing as Biden. Oh, and that she likes Liz Cheney. Biden had to leave earlier and they should've had primaries
edited to add: I think she started strong. having Tim Walz was a great choice.. but the campaign changed to please the donors and forgot the working class
This. Absolutely started seriously strong . Polls & energy were 2008-esque August-September. But by late September & esp October you def felt things were fizzling & not being able to maintain the momentum. Didn't plummet but more & more the longer she was Mia & basically went dark the media & GP were all over her for that & it def punctured things or flat lined at best. Trump didn't shut his mouth, full access to the press. And it worked!
NO idea why Tim Walz (who lobbied hard 24/7 for the VP doing the media rounds) also just went dark abruptly. Verry odd & F up imo. Most people didn't know much about her. You only have 3 months so u GOTTA be out there to close the deal! More she did actually speak (at best) it didn't really help unfortunately
Bottom bold line I always strongly knew his people/brain rot cult was always and will continue to mob out for him! (~75 mill. people baseline). Vance and others, no way. It's Trump specific and visceral. Dems MUST get down, dirty, someone who is plain but effective spoken. Shapiro on live TV kept saying 'Trump shit talks the US'. He couldn't give 2 fcks. That is what's seriously needed asap. Not canned, scripted, overthinks. plays it safe etc...or from a dark blue state w/ a persona of 'elite far left'.
-
Like I said it's a verry similar situation/environment to 2016. But just waay more next level flagrant, awful because Trump WAS actually somewhat contained when he needed to be & largely unknown. 2020 was on it's own island. Biden was a hiccup, blip, mirage of back to normalcy. Nope. I knew/felt T would be back in 2024. A year that reverted back to 2016 angst & rage electorate because of 2020 (backlash to Covid DEI, George Floyd, BLM). It's NOT unusual for these swings to happen historically (backlash to 'what' caused the last change election).
But 50% of the US has now completely gone full algorithm of brain rot and rage (caused by Trump/Maga, right wing), Stockholm Syndrome-esque. They want to be his bitches. This election= 'they're fully there' now. *mandate. Green light. Do IT. Fully and enthusiastically approve of him and ALL of it (fascist 1930s language & policies, violence, dehumanizing etc..).
Major likely significant difference is w/ things like Project 2025 & other secretive right wing shit the people gave a massive okay too are the one who'll get scorched the hardest! AND may..likely won't even be able to get an election in '26 but esp. '28. Damage will be done w/out a legit ability to vote em out. But they still won't care and blame woke DEI demons.
Enough w/ the 'shy T voter shit' lmao, or 'ya know, I really disagree w/ his mean tweets at x but like the policy and paying 30 cents less for eggs'. While those are the same morons (ya, fng MORONS lol) who come thisclose to ramming into me at Costco, not giving 2 fuqs, not watching, high strung & aggressive af w/ their wagons at Costco stuffed to capacity w/ Plasma TVs and 100s of dollars of other junk. But...'them eggs and White Wonder bread prices are killing me!!'
-
Calling it now. But only IF the US actually has a fully legit election in 2028 lol. I'm barely 50/50 on that now.
Bet you (almost) ANYthing the most giddy Dems on earth now are Shapiro, Whitmer, Moore & Bashear. But ESP Shapiro. Boy is famished for POTUS & got the glow. Of course tempted to say Newsom too but tired ah brand, can't do anything 'CA' again & wouldn't stop doing laps around Bidens busted ball sack. Lol Damaged goods .
Whitmer is fantastic and absolutely COULD have won if she ended up as Bidens VP instead of Harris. It's what it is tho & near 0 chance Dems are gonna put forth ANYone but a straight white man. Ya, Shapiro isn't obv Christian lol but if he crushes it in his 2026 PA re election, he's IT. Hakeem Jeffries too but gonna & gotta be a key swing state moderate w/ crossover appeal & proven winner.
Bookmark or screenshot me on this call lol then come back in 2026/27.
Imagine behind the scenes who's/which power players already bombarding him! Lol

The thing is you look Trumps vote total from 2020 and 2024 they are about the same.
I interpret that he didnt get all these new waves of people to support him people just weren’t feeling the Democrats and didn’t vote.
Thats entirely up to debate what that’s all about but it is what it is.
At the absolute min. I/we all knew every single one of his loons would mob out and will continue to but only when HE is on the ticket. For months even before Biden got out many were concerned not about new voters for T but people sitting it out. Biden staying in as LONG as he did ended the ultimate voter suppressant/deterrent. Damage was done that by the time he DID finally gtfo didn't matter anymore. The couch ended up holding down just enough people. I just read earlier some of the top Google searches post election were 'Biden lost?' 'why did Biden get out' etc..Basically ALL Biden related. Masses (people who put T back in office) do NOT follow the mainstream news or read the NYT. It's only what they feel.
Ya, there's the disgust of results but as I've said it's fortunately not compounded by utter surprise too like in 2016. It's just Harris had the best people in the biz. running her campaign projecting absolute confidence on and off camera. Not a single misstep or warning signs, worrying, cracks, leaks coming out which you almost always get by someone off the record. She's/Dems losing at least ~TEN million votes vs 2020!! He's getting about the same. Bonkers.

It's important to point out that even though there was a red wave, trump by no means has a super majority, a big majority, or quite frankly any majority. It'll come to 50% of the popular vote. Fine. That doesn't give him authority to do anything outlandish. And Biden won by MORE in 2020. The other side (center left) still has major strength in numbers, and we'll protest everytime the shit hits the fan these next few years!!!
In 2024 times (for such a loathsome figure, supposed 'tired 2 time popular vote loser') he got both an Electoral AND popular vote blowout. Gonna have at least 52 Senate seats for TWO years. Only needs the House majority by 1 vote. He'll get *every single one to vote in unison. No more non Maga moderates gonna 'wobble'.
At the min. very min. he's already bagging up 2 more Supreme Court seats. Possibly 3 if Roberts retires (solid 50/50) because he's almost 70 yold and look at his 1st term. ALL about packing the judiciary. Bookmark me now- by the end of 2025/year from now...prob. much much sooner even worse, younger 40-45 yold versions of Alito/Thomas on the SC. Aileen Canon-esque raging Maga hacks & types. Sotomayor at 70 seriously not looking well. Not super 'old' anymore but not at all young. Vibing like another RBG. NO fng idea why she didn't bolt by early this year!! So, ya, it's super possible this skunk ends up packing the SC w/ a total of SEVEN judges.
-
Barely a couple days later now & as the days/weeks go on and things simmer down there's more clarity w/ why, what etc...things happened just like in 2016. More and more this entire election cycle conditions & warning signs in the US were just like 2016.
Harris was another Hillary-esque candidate (just as a woman of color) in terms of entire campaign the *candidate/demeanor and the **disconnect. Slick campaign, shitloads of money, celebs galore, canned, robotic, played things suuper safe etc...I listened to a bunch of her campaign speech's on the trail & literally remembered her same scripted lines better than she did at x! lol
Like Hillary was 'defensive' when asked about just that by Charlamegne The God (saying she's being 'disciplined') 2024 is a very similar atmosphere to 2015/16. Both years were 4-8 years post worldwide disasters ('08 financial crisis and then the '20 pandemic) I tried...really tried to feel her but she just didn't HIT/bring it home for me even w/ a short timeframe. Too many red flags. Ya, the complete media, podcast etc...blackout for 1-2 months was absolutely 'odd' at best. Outta the gate (ESP w/ such a short time frame) AND being part of a highly unpopular administration you go into def com mode trying to rebrand yourself!
For me, possibly the most lethal moment (& I saw it in real time) was the absolutely cringe View interview (of all damn places!) lol. Her response to what she'd do differently than Biden was god awful. Dear headlights, dim, disconnected beyond belief, unpolished, clueless.
Would a better response, campaign and esp. candidate or VP etc...made a difference? Prob. not but still doubling down Dems absolutely had a serious shot IF Biden simply announced right after a great Dem. '22 midterms he wasn't running again. Ride that momentum into a robust primary and you weed through Harris (& others) possible shortcomings and strengths.
But ya, this shit absolutely STILL & will always fall on 52% of Americans who still actively voted FOR what's coming. I'm w/ that stellar sista in the video this is ALL about JD Vance. Loathe Trump but Vance is waay smarter, slicker, able to navigate & regulate when he needs to to looks 'reasonable and softs spoken'. but is sinister and a total vessel for Project 2025.

Nope, should've been an *open primary (announcing he wouldn't run in Fall 2022/early 2023 right after the midterms) starting from scratch. Make her earn/WORK for it. Unless he had significant health reasons or got hurt god forbid then ya/But his 'mind' was busted basically since day 1 in 2020. All of it simply imploded at the June debate.

And 2022 midterms were a deceiving fluke that ended up a sugar high devil in disguise for the Dems. Dobbs was still 'new' and if anything was THE reason Biden fng decided to run again!
