Kilt Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Daft Punk choice would be so predictable and safe. Bring on: Pascal Gabriel Liam Howe Pierre-Marie "STAL" Maulini Dave Okumu
Crux Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 She's already said she was waiting on daft punk to return her call so it's obvious she's in the very, very early stages of another album. She's probably writing and listening to certain types of music for inspiration as we speak.
Mat.Guy Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 She is thinking about music and also has a movie she's chosen to direct. It's a matter of deciding what to do first and how to release it. She's very busy. But she has penned a few tracks!!! But how she is gonna proceed is not confirmed or decided. Thank you thank you thank you!
karbatal Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 With Miley twerking, Gaga doing the mong, Thicke being an obnoxious cunt and all that... she'd better bring quality music and focus on what she does best. She is not going to be able to compete with this new porn-pop that is trendy, she'd better be the queen, as she showed in the Superbowl.

Nightshade Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 P!NK? Young and old alike? I think that talking about young and old fans is quite relative and a bit of a stretch in P!NK's case since in comparison she's only 34 years old and has been around for a decade only. What Madonna does in her mid 50s is absolutely astounding, considering that with such minimal promotion, aside from the initial mainly US-impacting Superbowl, she still managed to be the 12th most bought recording artist of 2012 per the IFPI, which is commendable for any artist, let alone for someone who has 3 decades of work behind her I am simply speaking from my own observations and chart stats. I went to a P!NK concert a few weeks ago and the crowd was very mixed - older, young, little kids. Of course, her tickets are also cheaper than M's. But "Just Give Me A Reason" and "Try" did pretty well with the Adult Top 40 crowd and regular Top 40. I know M isn't going to get airplay either way, but she could still write stuff that captures both groups.
nick00 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I agree that better song writing is needed, but I'm very open to Madonna releasing different types of music in the near future. The last three albums have been playing on my iPod and stereo system forever, so I don't mind at all her latest releases for the past several years.
markm Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 New album for the end of next year. Heavily promoted in major markets for the first single - mini concerts as per the Confessions promo. World tour to start in 2015 to include Australia and the Far East and selected cities in Europe and USA

No shade but I haven't heard anything from pink anywhere since 'Raise your glass', didnt even know she had a new album out
dollhouse Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I want her to do a movie. +1 as an actress.
Guest Not4Pussies Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 if she decides to direct another film im all for it as long as it is vastly different from W.E. and she has nothing to do with the screenplay.
Raider of the lost Ark Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 There are two things she could do short term. a) New fashion campaign b) a soundtrack single
magom Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I wish for a new album next year... And I really hope for the right single choices. I still can't get with the fact that they choice GMAYL and TUTR instead of Love Spent and Addicted.
Raider of the lost Ark Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 if she decides to direct another film im all for it as long as it is vastly different from W.E. and she has nothing to do with the screenplay. THIS! Not that the sript of W.E. was really that bad, but it was too much for people to swallow considering she was also directing and producing (and contributing a song). And to combine those two stories was to ambitious too. We (as Madonna fans get it since in a few scenes you clearly realize the similarities to Madonnas own life). I believe the reception would have been better if she only did the Wallis/Edward story. As the counterpart to the Kings Speech which portrayed both as pretty unlikable people. The production value of W.E. is impeccable. The camera work, the costumes and make up, the production design and of course the score are flawless (even if some may complain it looks too polished, like an ad, probably the same people who think Filth and Wisdom looked to raw). And bringing all those crafts together so perfectly shows that she actually is a good director.
mgreece Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 the best scenario would be to write new material with Pat Leonard and add a cutting edge producer to spice things up...I am sure that she can still deliver
runa Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 With a soundtrack single at the beginning of 2014, I could wait another 9-12 months for a new album...

Guest Rachelle of London Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I cant wait!!! Whatever she does I'd be happy!!!!
VogueMusic Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I want to see her act again. Yes, I said it. Musical would be great. The right material and she does shine. Directing is cool...as long as it doesn't take as long as W.E.
Guest Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Very disappointed in her musical choices. Therefore I'm into her films more so. Daft Punk is sickeningly top 40 and trendy now. Shame on her.

Shame on her. You do realize Madonna is a top 40 artist? I think Daft Punk is a great artist for her to work with. I think she needs to find the balance between something commercial and artistic which is what her best records have always been. Daft Punk has been successful for a long time in the dance field. I'm sure she has liked their music for years as I have. Not just now because they are successful and played on the radio. I'm never bought into that whole "indie credibility" thing how you have to stop liking a band you've always loved because when they become successful. As people discussed in the other thread, I think she needs to find the balance between something a little more mature than the last two records but still something cool, edgy with an electronic feel and not MOR/AC ballad music. I think Daft Punk would fit the bill perfectly.

nick00 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I want her to work with someone who is unknown or upcoming. I want a big change and that element of surprise whenever M releases new music. Otherwise, just a descent album and good tour would partly satisfy me.
