Guest jamesshot Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Yeah, but to go from 4,100 to under 3,500 is surprising. Especially with all the shows during the tracking week. Yes I agree.
thebigham Posted November 28, 2008 Author Posted November 28, 2008 frozpog, can still get sales info for us?
Guest boytoyville Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 That sucks I was really hoping the album to hit an even 30 weeks but whatever it still did great!
HolidayGuy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 If it went from 4,100+ to around 3,500, that's just a 15% loss or so. As said, it had two conseutive weeks of gains, so it had to come down at some point.
frozpog Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 frozpog, can still get sales info for us? sorry, wea.com no longer has actual sales numbers
Kurt420 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Not that I think this is gonna happen but.... For how long will HC be able to re-enter the BB200?
HolidayGuy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 An album can chart on the BB 200 through its 78th week of release (year and a half)- then, if it's out of the top 100, it gets transferred to catalog status. HC could re-enter soon, but once the holidays are over, I imagine its sales are gonan drop even further down.
thebigham Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 12/13 charts: 184 RE-ENTRY MADONNA HARD CANDY 5,136 +45%3,539 682,150 (Gold)
BoyToy Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 12/13 charts: 184 MADONNA HARD CANDY 5,136 +45%3,539 682,150 (Gold) Welcome back again Hard Candy 30 weeks wll do nicely
Guest FrozenLight Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 That's awesome! Nice gain...and the 30 week inside the BB 200 makes it extra sweet!!
HolidayGuy Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Indeed- that was a nice lil' surprise. I went to Pulse and was scrolling from the bottom and there it was. For it to re-enter during Thanksgiving week is pretty good (even though overall sales are down big compared to the comparable T-giving week in 2007).
promise to try Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 wow, just wow! madonna, go back to the US in january, annd add more dates to the tour!!
HolidayGuy Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 This week was any leftover impact from Atlantic City, and then Atlanta and Miami, in addition to Black Friday week. So, to summarize, Sticky & Sweet did its job in keeping HC afloat, cause after 4M, there wasn't much of anything to keep it going.
just!ce Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 YES BABYS! I never thought that this would happen...
magom Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 me neither. It is a great surprise. I hope can hold in BB200 next week.
Guest gintonic Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 12/13 charts: 184 RE-ENTRY MADONNA HARD CANDY 5,136 +45%3,539 682,150 (Gold) Everybody, say goodbye to American Life......

promise to try Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Does it mean that Hard Candy was #201 last week ? why?
Guest nothingfails0603 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 sweet, this is her first album since ROL to rechart
frozpog Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 wow and i thought we had seen the last of Hard Candy on BB200.
Dindi Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 So it just might be shy of 700 K by end of the year! Although with the US tour ending, should we expect a precipitous drop next week?
Guest jamesshot Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I expect a decent drop next week. But Saweet! It re-enters with a big gain.
HolidayGuy Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Yes, in the post-Black Friday week, most albums should see big percentage drops. And, actually, HC already had passed American Life last week.
Ciccone's Cheeks Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 GREAT news! Key was for this album to just pass AL! mission accomplished. to think it may very well pass 700k+ is amazing. never wouldve believed it after the impact of 4 Min. went away.
mtzlplk Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 cause #200 was only 35 copies ahead f@ck it... it should've been 31 weeks now..
