HolidayGuy Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 The tour has sent HC rocketing back up the charts! Seriously, though, it's good that it's hanging on at the least. It's off AL's total by just 17K or so. I doubt it will stay on the chart through year's end. Totals near the bottom of the chart will see higher sales, and HC probably will get lost in the shuffle.

I ask this because I know Amazon has had HC on sale for $3.99 about three or four months ago and it didn't seem to do anything for the sales and you'd think that would be similar to what a big sale on Target, Wal-Mart or Best Buy would do for the album, but nope. I noticed this also when they had the "Deal of the day" sale on R.E.M.'s latest for 1.99 several months ago as well, and the week of that sale, the album still posted a decline, and you'd think it would've gone up because 1.99 is an unbeatable price. It made me wonder if Amazon mp3 sales don't "count" like Itunes does.
