I didn't waste my time watching the ABC interview last night with Biden...  I mean it's pre-recorded among other things.  But it seems the main take away is Biden isn't going anywhere.  Which after the horror of his debate, it just leads me to one of my favorite expressions, It is What It Is, or in this case This Is What This is.  

 

Limiting exposure to all this I think is necessary for The Grade A Shit Show that will be the next 4 months.

I think for a lot of people the despair is beyond the election. America has an internal rot, which has been growing for decades. Even if a Democrat takes the White House it isn’t going to stop the noise from the other side. Republicans have fully embraced fascism and authoritarianism, but I would hardly say Democrats are bastions of left wing ideals. And so the shitshow persists.

As an outsider I’m sick of hearing all sides of their media about it being the best or only democracy in the world. About their freedoms. About their rights. This gaslighting of American exceptionalism (which is really just nationalism) is exactly how they/we got here. No country is perfect but I certainly wouldn’t put the US in the top ten if we’re weighing social-economic factors.

And I’m sorry, I’m really not trying to be insulting to any American posters here. I do love to visit the country and think it’s beautiful both geographically and demographically. But for better or worse their politics trickle down toxically. Much like the capitalism that dominates their every political policy.

With all the freedoms the U.S. have (that allegedly no other country in the world has ) there is obviously no freedom from overprocessed and oversugared foods and beverages (I use the word food and beverages lightly). I wonder if there are studies that show all this shitty food with ingredients that are banned in many parts of the World because they are potentially causing cancer and / or other serious diseases, do also cause brain damage and affects critical thinking? That would explain a lot.

Unfortunately they are not made up. Those 900 pages are the way to fascism. In a way it is comparable with the "Ermächtigungsgesetz" in Germany in 1933. The most spooky part, to fire civil servants in government departments and replace them with Trump loyalists. I think you can apply already. As far as I understood they don't even care if you have knowledge or experience in this particular field. 

Immigrants are a big issue but there is so much lying about it. Basically everything the GOP and MAGA say about (illegal) immigrants is wrong. All their claims can be fact-checked (crime, voting, drugs ...) and not one of the statistics back up what they say. But of course, their cult members don't care. They don't read statistics or don't trust them, no matter if those statistics were used for ages and are generally accepted, even under Trump. Of course, it doesn't fit their narrative, therefore it must me wrong, manipulated. Have they ever thought what happens when they kick out the immigrants? Good luck with the agriculture sector. The harvest will rot on the fields because there will be no one to pick the fruit and vegetable. Good luck to all the rich people with their manicured gardens, it will be an interesting site to see a billionaire mowing the lawn or cleaning the pool. Do those people realize, that there are several areas in the labour market that are almost exclusively served by immigrants because "real" Americans (I could add several European countries as well) will not work in those areas because it is a) hard work physically and b) badly paid. The next time in the supermarket they should asked themselves who picked that orange or peach.

Biden was on Morning Joe a little while ago. My god only making it all worse ffs!! Rambling, ranting in circles in that sandpaper voice, raging denial, delusional, cranky, arrogant ('bring it ON if Dems wanna replace me at convention') WTF, messy word salad.

In this case, it’s frightening as hell. 
Speaking about immigrants, among these 200K who came in Romania post-COVID, they are working in delivery, construction, agriculture, because romanian people don’t want these jobs anymore. Back in November when I was in Berlin at the Celebration Tour, all the Uber and Taxi drivers where muslims. Unbelievable!

Any kind of normie/non Maga Republican (one who I have simple disagreements over). Woke, pronouns, DEI & SJW etc...are not even remotely on my personal radar as top priorities. Bottom line...Biden is just THAT Bad. lol Only Trump is worse. Still say this ends up a 2016 coin flip. Please explain which Biden policies have affected you personally that are so bad. 

And mentioning the elections of 1980 and 84 when Reagan won as something positive? The guy was suffering from Alzheimers during his second term and you have a problem with Biden being old. The irony. Furthermore, the GOP always speaks so highly of Reagan and his so called achievements. The guy who destroyed the American middle class and made American farmers suffer. The guy who ignored the AIDS epidemic for ages. He was a cold warrior of the worst kind, nuclear arms race and that SDI nonsense. And my personal favorite as someone born in former East Germany, when GOP historians claim he was responsible for the fall of the Berlin Wall by asking Gorbachev to "Tear Down this wall" during his speech on the backside of Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin. The claim is just as ridiculous as the David Hasselhoff one. Hasselhoff was drunk when he said it. The only ones responsible for the fall of the Berlin Wall were the citizens of the former GDR. Reagan probably thought he is saying something intelligent when his remarks were actually quite offensive and it did show (once more) that U.S. politicians have no real understanding of foreign politics. To ask the General Secretary of the Central Commitee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union to tear down something that was not build by the Soviet Union, that was not on the state territory of the Soviet Union. It's like asking Justin Trudeau to close Guantanamo. Contrary to what many U.S. politicians may have thought back then, the countries of the Warzaw Pact were not merely satellite states of the Soviet Union. In fact the U.S. recognized the GDR as a sovereign state in 1974. Reagan was an idiot, who got directions from the people around him. He was lucky he used to be an actor and therefore able to hide his weaknesses by putting on an act.

Also Nikki Haley would not have won in a landslide. In the end, she may not have been full MAGA but she was far from "normal" and is just another GOP hypocrite. Keep in mind, this is the woman who could not bring herself to mention slavery as the cause for the Civil War. And in the end, just like basically all Republicans bow down to Trump out of fear her political career was over. Considering the things Trump said about her and her family, just shows she has no backbone.

Getting repetitive but I'll answer again. It's very simple & very specific to the messenger (not the message). Biden (barely...at best on a good day) is able to *communicate in a coherent, crisp, cohesive way w/ forceful precision to come out & make the case effectively against Trump/Maga.

It's not opinion it's what we ALL saw & heard even before the debate. And to run & do this job for *4 more years!?? Beyond jaw dropping.

The *policies & Dem. platform overall I'm fully FOR. Job market, stock market etc...are all currently great. Made it very clear many x I'm voting for the platform & anti Maga. That= 'Biden' specifically in this case, unfortunately.

Biden pays Clooney, so Clooney writes that Biden should step aside? Which means Biden is sabotaging himself? That does not sound convincing, does it. And Clooney doesn't need that money. He is worth around 500 million dollars.
