Let's hope things go back to the "new normal" soon.

Isn't it funny, that I feel the luckiest guy just because I can go for a walk soon? Life is strange.

Yes, let’s hope so. This is the kind of situation that reminds us that we take many things for granted in our daily lives.

Well kids could finally go out today. Rules were clear: short walk, no games with other kids, etc. Twitter pics show irresponsible parents doing whatever they want! I hope it's just social media overreaction and not the reality. From my window i only saw people doing it well.

Why are many humans so dumb?

I heard there's a second coming for COVID-19 i.e. recovered patient becomes positive again.

COVID-19 is the new HIV :nervous:

There's been a lot of urban legend about it but not official source.

It's no urban legend.

Chuang also said eight patients had tested positive for the virus after being discharged from hospital but played down fears of them spreading the virus in the community.

The reconfirmed cases made up about 1 per cent of the 741 discharged patients in the city.

“We brought those cases to our team of experts who believe the virus could be residue in the body after treatment and the risk of infection to others is low,” she said.

In other words, the virus could be hiding somewhere in your body and made it undetectable.

just wait when families can take their precious children for a little walk. I'm fuming here. Always the same families who think they're above all because children are like some medal in their lives.

But many others have done things properly. Once again, there will have to be rules as if we were stupid babies unable to take care of ourselves.

Anyway, surely tomorrow there will be less chaos. Maybe today all were too eager to go out after 40 days!

I got one of these scam e-mails this weekend:

https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2020/04/10/sextortion-emails-and-porn-scams-are-back-dont-let-them-scare-you/

They'll claim to have malware infected on your computer and will send out videos of you watching porn among other graphic things to all your contacts.  It's an obvious scam but what was a little scary is they did use an old password of mine I used to use.  At some point some site most have been compromised I used it on.

But yeah if anybody here gets an sextortion e-mail asking to pay $2000 to some britcoin account please ignore it.  There is a special place in hell for someone who would try to take advantage of somebody's non rational thinking in these times we live in.  This is what the scammers are hoping for

Question for Spaniards and Italians...

Has the government helped you out financially like the $1,200 some of us got in the United States?

I am wondering because I asked my cousin in Rome and he said there was no government financial support.

If you have lost your job either permanently or temporarily, then yes, you get government support.

People in Spain who had to stay home as non essential workers get 75% of the salary for as long as it takes.

That US money is a pile of shit. They can't give a single payment and pretend all is solved. This situation will last months.

If only the UK had taken the strict measures of some other countries. Unfortunately there isn't such a thing as a full lockdown here, it is rather a lukewarm lockdown from what I have seen each time while doing food shopping once a week. A rare occurrence seeing people wearing a mask, except for most food retail workers. Seen lots of people not respecting social distancing guidelines while queing up for food shopping or walking about, the very same ones who do not wear a mask.

Guidelines - that's what we have here. Not strict rules that must be followed, and if people do not follow the rules are heavily fined or arrested and thrown in jail. No. Here it is all a joke to a lot of people. They have their beloved government to thank for that.

The UK government has lied about several things to cover up for its murderous inefficiency, including reported number of infected and deaths for example. Actual number of people who have succumbed to date in the UK to coronavirus is estimated to be much higher than the officially reported figures (even higher than Italy), because no one is taking into account those who died in care homes (elderly), or in their own homes for example. Just hospitals figures - even doctors as it has emerged may not fully report covid-19 as the reason of death here because it is not compulsory... that is the level.

With the whole campaign of not going to a healthcare facility nor a hospital, a huge chunk of the population is still not tested, and people who unfortunately have unrelated coronavirus symptoms or other pathologies, have avoided and continue to avoid going to hospitals, out of fear of getting infected... plus the whole initial campaign of not seeking medical help basically.

A shambolic disaster on many fronts.

The UK prime minister has done what he does best: avoid responsibilities at any given hurdle. Typical of him, that's what cowards do. Better to pass as a coronavirus victim so people will just remember "poor Boris" as one of the victims. Nevermind that him and his cabinet of incompetent greedy ignorant scumbags, some of whom are not even capable of pronouncing numbers (look up Priti Patel, kid you not), are fully responsible for taking this outbreak like a bet on human lives, with their "herd immunity" bullshit theory, telling people that they basically will have to get used to lose loved ones.

They have blood in their hands.

Vote clowns, expect a circus.

Some people will continue to wear masks for as long as possible, taking all sanitizing precautions, given the zero trust they have on this government of murdering imbecils.

I didn't feel it like that. She was alover Twitter as "look how the expert reacts while Trump is making foolish things".

Maybe I misread it? I was so appalled at everything that you make me doubt now

:chuckle:

I only know too well what you mean

Because you know people who don't have children have no needs themselves. But yes of course from a child's well being standpoint I perfectly understand and applaud, it's the adults that scare me at times, certain radical adults who think they every right because they have babies

Yes, of course let's continue being cautious even with restrictions being gradually eased, there's no doubt that even just being able to walk through a beautiful city park or a Galleria will be the most wondrous sensation, amazing, these will be my holidays for the year if by summer we won't be able to reach the coast
