Madonna On Motherhood And Fighting Ageism: “I’m Being Punished For Turning 60”

Wow so intriguing to hear her talk about her relationship with her kids-very revealing interview-she just keeps pulling back the layers to keep us interested and showing us her continuous evolvement

Yea, and after seeing that short Billboard interview yesterday, I really do hope she does a serious hour long interview this era. I feel we all need a good catch-up with the real her and where she is at now in life. We really don’t know nothing!

This era has started off magnificently

And era predictions, fans expectations, critical reception and commercial success aside I love how happy, relaxed, carefree yet on the mark Madonna seems to be

To still have a Madonna releasing work, any work, after decades, is a treat and a joy in itself but to see her working in THIS capacity and her full-on level of commitment and originality is a gift from Heaven

the BV pics are amazing and the teaser of the interview about her kids is so raw and real. The other articles about ageism and the Vogue employees favorite songs are really great too. This is one for the ages....

This era is the bomb!

Oh this is beautiful. She looks great in these shots.  I wish the whole album was promoted with her sporting dark hair.  I also wish the Vogue issue was more of a world-wide release.

Really like this article too: https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/is-the-fight-against-ageism-madonnas-biggest-revolution-ever

Rather than pointing out her age, every person on social media - young or old - should be celebrating it, thanking Madonna for continuously going where no one else dares to go. Because while all of Madonna’s revolutions have gained her attention, it’s nothing compared to what she’s done for the rest of us.

What she says about Lola is so revealing in itself. Lola is obviously multi-talented but having Madonna's drive is a talent on its own but people don't appreciate it. Could always tell that she identifies with David and he seems to have that confidence she has. Incredible because it's not a genetic thing obviously and I don't mean to use them to make a point but it shows how much kids respond if given encouragement

This essay beautifully articulates the struggle against ageism she’s taken on, the hypocrisy she has to endure and the massive amounts of credit she is due.  Bravo!

FINALLY!!!!!

Perfectly written article.

A must-read for everyone.

There are no living role models for me,” she concedes. “Because nobody does what I do.”

Yes it is, Madonna's back catalogue is one of the most played at US radio, the only Artist who gets more play than her is MJ, and even earlier this year Madonna's back catalogue was getting played more than his

There are threads on this in the Madonna radio thread
