Her only chance of getting good singles chart positions would be if she released an undeniable, universally loved single like Hung Up or even 4 Minutes. Which she hasn't done in a decade. Whether you love or hate Medellin, you simply cant argue that its the stellar song she needed.

She isn’t streamed by kids and teenagers. She could release Like a Prayer today and it would miss the top 100. Time to stop caring about the singles charts when it comes to Madonna.

I disagree. A single like Hung Up, capitalizing on the campiness and dance music Madonna is famous for, supported by huge promo like Eurovision, would surely make Top 10s around the world excluding the US.

Madonna is SO much more than campiness and dance music...

I would love for her to get this number 1!

Tying Elvis as the solo artist with the most number one albums ever would be a total treat, and another record that would be wonderful for her to hold.

I hope it happens!!

So kids like campy dance music now do they? I thought it was all trap, that Billie girl with singing kneecaps and mumbling 😞

Sadly, it's just not this simple anymore. The singles chart game is a whole different animal than it used to be.

So do I but just read that Lewis Capaldi is the highest pre ordered album of all time in uk and it’s released 2 weeks ahead of MX. He’s gonna be another Adele and stay there for at least 20 weeks a la Ed Sheeran 😢

we cant say she didn’t try though , gutted all the same

Um, one day away. It's out tomorrow. The point is it 's one of those albums that might stay at the top spot for weeks and weeks.

Sorry what i meant was 4 weeks between his album and MX. As you said, his album is out tomorrow.

Haven't even heard of him before! Quickly flipped through a few of his songs. Sounds very dull but kind of stuff GP loves I suppose.

Why is the UK now producing such bland, awful " stars" on mass with the same type of music ?   Bizarre that artists like Adele, Ed,  Sam and now this guy are so popular. So boring and average.

So true but they are super popular here. None of those can do anything wrong at the moment. Especially Ed and Adele.

I know.  I remember when the UK produced exceptional music with incredible entertainers. Can't get over how bland, boring and predictable they are now.  Don't even find their music memorable or anything brilliant.  They seem to over sing everything too. Just seems so odd that the bland are dominating the UK who always used to seem ahead of the curve.

I think it's a mix of streaming playlists where inoffensive music isn't skipped, millennials who aren't really into music and clubs, and X-Factor that just feature parades of people trying to outshout each other.

Muzak makes the people come together ☹️

So what are they into? Baking cakes and pastries? :scared:

Online gaming. Talking to a friend who I used to go clubbing with and they said their kids socialise online with their friends via games. We had to go out to meet but they don't need to.

Some guys I used to work with in their late twenties were the same. Chat online in a game. And no need to go to a club to meet girls with tinder.

Music is just background noise now.

From the description it's clear that these losers do NOT deserve Madonna and Mirwais :rotfl:

This is why 2010s is a rubbish and evil decade. This is why I say the same thing over and over again but nobody believes it and now there's proof

I remember reading here sometime ago that she's gonna have a BBC primetime special "Madonna at the BBC". Is this confirmed?
