Time to stop caring about the singles charts when it comes to Madonna. I disagree. A single like Hung Up, capitalizing on the campiness and dance music Madonna is famous for, supported by huge promo like Eurovision, would surely make Top 10s around the world excluding the US.

Madonna is SO much more than campiness and dance music...

So kids like campy dance music now do they? I thought it was all trap, that Billie girl with singing kneecaps and mumbling

Sadly, it's just not this simple anymore. The singles chart game is a whole different animal than it used to be.

Kim Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Um, one day away. It's out tomorrow. The point is it 's one of those albums that might stay at the top spot for weeks and weeks.

Kim Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Ah, I see. Hmm, well it's still a bit risky but nothing anyone can do about it.
smirnoff_ice Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Haven't even heard of him before! Quickly flipped through a few of his songs. Sounds very dull but kind of stuff GP loves I suppose.
Jazzy Jan Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Why is the UK now producing such bland, awful " stars" on mass with the same type of music ? Bizarre that artists like Adele, Ed, Sam and now this guy are so popular. So boring and average.

Especially Ed and Adele.

Don't even find their music memorable or anything brilliant. They seem to over sing everything too. Just seems so odd that the bland are dominating the UK who always used to seem ahead of the curve.

I think it's a mix of streaming playlists where inoffensive music isn't skipped, millennials who aren't really into music and clubs, and X-Factor that just feature parades of people trying to outshout each other. Muzak makes the people come together

Talking to a friend who I used to go clubbing with and they said their kids socialise online with their friends via games. We had to go out to meet but they don't need to. Some guys I used to work with in their late twenties were the same. Chat online in a game. And no need to go to a club to meet girls with tinder. Music is just background noise now.

Joao Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I remember reading here sometime ago that she's gonna have a BBC primetime special "Madonna at the BBC". Is this confirmed?
