it will help the singles more than it not being played......

Mimi's "Bye Bye" had sporadic play- I think it had that 1 week where it zoomed to 18 and then plummeted. AIrplay doesn't seem to help Mimi's sales in the UK, anyhow.

Is Rhianna download only? She does really well no matter what song is released. What happened to the duet with Maroon 5 - perhaps that tanked?

Yes, the Maroon 5 duet peaked at #28. But that was beyond atrocious anyway.

Not sure if it's download only. Let me check...

So G12M spends two weeks in the top 10, 7 in the top 20, has sales of 100k and is still going and there are IDIOTS saying it's underperformed because it peaked at number 7 :lmao:

oooh, let's see how the second singles off her most recent studio albums have fared in the uk, shall we?

Ray Of Light 1998 262,514

Don’t Tell Me 2000 179,939

Hollywood 2003 59,633

Sorry 2006 178,963

Give It 2 Me 2008 100,986

a tiny detail: with the exception of hollywood, all singles listed above were included in albums that managed to sell way more than a million copies in the uk. but then, give it 2me will be probably out of the top20 next week, which means tens of thousand downloads will be added to its sales tally, right?

Wow.... and the peaks for those:

Ray of Light #02

Don't Tell Me #04

Hollywood #02

Sorry #01

Give It To Me #07

Incredible how Hollywood managed to get to #02... it was a one week seller single!!!

Judging from the peaks one would think completly different sales!!! This proofs that peak position doesn't make a single

Wasn't it already explained that you can't compare sales of today with the pre-download era. I swear Kylie loons just come here and try to destroy this thread. Get out!

Any predictions on where Hard Candy might land after the first full week post-Cardiff? Can we reasonably expect Top 10 numbers? I have no idea what current sales look like in the UK Top 10.

i'm sorry to spoil the fun, but kylie's underperforming big time in terms of single sales. and what do u know, madonna's also underperforming-oh the shock. the digital era turns out to be harsh for both ladies as fanbases are not strong enough to secure high chart peaks.

You really do have to PITY this particular loon - the deludued, illogical and erroneous thinking really does correlate with all the symptoms of a SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS - don't be too HARSH on it.
