Let me guess, you are one of those people who believe the NSDAP was a socialist party?

maybe you are confusing me with yourself boo.

Im talking more about how the Democratic party forced Biden down our throats without a fair primary just an example.

Respectfully, I didn’t say the democrats weren’t!

Im Australian so have only been looking from the outside in (for a very long time). I also have quite a lot to say about how politics are run in Australia as well as many European parliaments.

I would personally classify Democrats as a Conservative Party. Have always found it very odd that progressive policies are used against them by Republicans when that’s the last thing they represent.

Yes, I very much will say that the Republican Party openly flirts with fascism and has done so increasingly for a couple of decades now. Party before people. Mitch McConnell is a (somewhat) living example.

Sadly the Democrats have relied on being the lesser of two evils for too long. And to be quite frank, the bigger issue that Americans are faced with is that they seemingly only have two choices to vote for if they want to vote at all. Yet the establishment stills screams about the benefit of a two party system.

Thats the insanity for me. How can only two parties benefit 300+ million people?

Anyhow, I don’t mean to insult the American posters here.

And I think it’s tragic for anyone under 40 across the globe that the next US election is a vote between Biden and Trump.

And tragic for anyone over 40 that hoped for a more progressive space by 2024.

I agree with what you said there)

I'm not certain what to make of it all at this point.

As I've stated, no one can OBJECTIVELY look at Biden and see someone who's as mentally sharp as he was even as recent as 2020. There is clearly some kind of decline. Whether it's natural cognitive decline or something worse, none of us know. But what I DO know is that optics matter. And the optics of it all are certainly troubling.

Trump isn't any better and is as unhinged as he ever was. He's just shrewdly choosing to stay out of the spotlight and isn't sucking up the kind of oxygen like he was before. Now that things are settled and people have an actual choice, it'll be interesting to see where independent minded voters go. If I were in Biden's campaign, I'd lean HARD on his behavior in 2020. His gross negligence of Covid, how he inflamed the riots and racial unrest from that summer, his denial of his election loss, and how it all cumulated to the insurrection. NO ONE wants to relive that year. And it'd be smart to highlight just how awful things were right before he was booted out.

I find some solace in how much Biden has been underestimated and went on to pull things off - from the primary to the election to the midterms and all of the special elections in between. Democrats do seem to be paying attention, so that's heartening. But the polls in swing states do look bleak for him as of now and I'm praying he's able to turn that around.

One party tried to overturn the results of a free election and is actively taking away rights of people of color, women and the LGBTQ+ community. The other party believes that the incumbent should run for a second term which is not sexy like sending a newcomer into the race. But sure, let’s create false equivalencies and do “what-about-isms”.

This.

Also, if you want to rely on polls, yesterday's Quinnipac poll has Biden at 60 percent with women and 35 percent with Trump, which is pretty damning considering how the female voter turnout has exponentially increased these last six years.

Although I am not American, as we see and hear about Trump all the time, everyone has an opinion on him.  The only people I know who like him are people that are notoriously hard right, are openly and proudly racist and are always whining about "The Woke"    I also have noticed that overwhelmingly women can't stand him.  I can only imagine how American women must feel given that he has helped take away their rights.  Surely there comes a time when having rights taken away from you is far more important that any misplaced ideology that does not even represent what people think anymore.

@Genevieve Vavance @Jazzy Jan she’s getting more paranoid and stupid

It is frightening and infuriating to watch someone sink so far down the rabbit hole.  To think this woman once made a tv show that spoke to the working class in such a clever true way.    Now, she is a paranoid delusional crazy woman who supports and sides with a man whose values she would of once despised and spoken out about.

Arizona is one of the key states Trump needs to win to have a chance at winning the election. This strike-down pretty much squashes those chances.
