Andra Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I expected from the reviews for this to be a very meh song, instead it's one of the best on the album are u kidding me
Pablo94 Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I am still so confused at how this was reviewed pretty poorly but it’s one of my favourites
humanracin Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 One of the highlights on a spectacular album for me. Her vocals on this one are gorgeous.
Geiger83 Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 This song is incredible. I was so afraid this could have turned somehow like Superstar oder Spanish Lesson (sorry people who like them). It is wonderful and touching
Nikki Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 it reminds me a little of Messiah, but it has more edge
Jeby Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 The most emotional song on the album for me. I love it so much.
luluthecat Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I swear I read a review saying this is one of the weakest?!!? What the hell. It’s beautiful
Shane Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Oh my Heavenly Father. Dan Wootten was correct in his glowing review. This has some of the best vocals from her in a history of wonderful performances. She really goes for some notes here. Everything about this song from the lyrics to the vocals to the melodies to the production is SPOT ON.
TXIII Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Hands down one of the best ballads she has EVER done! This song is an experience and I am in love!
Mat.Guy Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 This is the most surprising song for me. I was expecting a *bonus material* from this one and then BAM! One of the most beatiful and emotional Madonna songs on her career and you guys know that means a lot! Damn, Madame X
Lindyloo Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I love this song. So epic. She sounds fantastic and I love the orchestra.

Shane Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 This is her Falling Free/Messiah moment, where she just effortlessly nails a ballad that shuts the mouths of people who say she can’t sing. She has maintained a lot of her range, and there is great strength in this delivery.
Shane Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Just now, runa said: I knew you would like it, But of course As long as I get 2-3 ballads per album I’m good.
nightcutter Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 This song is stunning. Probably my fave so far.
Shane Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Madonna really specializes in these dramatic ballads that are synth-pop and orchestral at the same time. Ace.
Mat.Guy Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I really hope she uses the same orchestra she was rehearsing Frozen to sing this song too!
Je5u5 Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 HUGE fan. One of those WTF situations where one of the gems is a bonus track.
Jessica Rabbit Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 It should be on the main album. It’s a standout. Her vocals are warm and intoxicating. Love this gem of a song!

Guest Amelia aka Neutrocks Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 What a lovely song. The pulsating sounds are epic. I love how we hear more of her natural vocals in this as well. Definitely this is one of my favorites from the album.
henree Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Her vocals are so earnest, warm, inviting, and lush. Reminds me of "Live to Tell" from a heartfelt vocal perspective. Amazing song on the strength of Madonna's voice.

I think Looking For Mercy is what she could have done with Messiah which despite being a gorgeous ballad it did sound half-baked and unfairly shortened.
dumitru Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Superbly written, superbly produced, and superbly sung. Reminds me a bit of Live to tell soundwise
luluthecat Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 I love this song even more today. The standard edition should be withdrawn from market! Luckily the deluxe seems to be the main digital edition so I doubt many are missing out.
Voguerock Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 I really dig in this song right now. the lyrics... Damn. Spot on. The part where she sing "somebody to teach me how to love. Somebody to help me rise above. I need to survive.... " really hits me.
