promise to try Posted March 10, 2015 Share Posted March 10, 2015 i listened to the rebel heart demo again after months and after listening to the official one and fuck.. i really thought this one is a missed opportunity for a big single. but that said, the album version is good too and there are a lot of strong songs on the album so that makes up for it. can't believe no one said to her to keep the song in its original demo for the album seeing the positive reactions it got though. Given how her recent songs haven't really caught on, I think it's a risk worth taking to go for something like this. It's 4 minutes in its contemporary feel so may just grab a wider audience.
