British singer Boy George has announced the comeback of his 1980s pop band Culture Club with a new album in 2014

In an interview published in the French gay magazine Tetu, Boy George said guitarist Roy Hay, drummer Jon Moss and bassist Mikey Craig have all agreed to the reformation. Fronted by androgynous icon Boy George, born George Alan O'Dowd, the band broke up for the first time in 1986 and had existed in various incarnations since then.

The now 52-year-old Boy George said the new album would not simply retread the pop group's older material, but would still reflect the groups signature mix of soul and reggae

Um, didn't this bitch have a prostitute chained to a bed or something? Lord have mercy. GIRL BYE.

Chained an escort to a bed and dangled a big dildo in front of the escort and said, " now, you're gonna get it..."

The escort proceeded to rip the chains out of the wall and run outside to call the police from a street vendor or phone booth.

Boy George has once again reignited his ongoing feud with Liam Payne after mocking One Direction's performance on the X Factor last night, describing the heartthrob as “messy” while also claiming Harry Styles' new grungy look is inspired by Keith Richards

It seems One Direction's fans weren't the only ones watching the boy band's anticipated performance during the X Factor finale live show yesterday as former Culture Club star Boy George gave somewhat of a running commentary as the boys sang album track 'Midnight Memories.'

It's no secret that 52-year-old doesn't think highly of the group but even some of his own supporters may be surprised by the unprovoked attack. During the live show yesterday, Boy George tweeted: “Liam looked quite....messy!!” before later adding in response to a follower: “He's in trouble! How's that good?” (sic)

He also commented: “Harry looked like a young Keith Richards!”

As if that wasn't enough, he took aim at Canadian crooner Michael Buble just a few hours later after watching his appearance on Alan Carr's Chatty Man, tweeting: “Is Michael Buble' off his nut on @chattyman,” later adding: “He's been hanging out with Liam Payne!”

Boy George's comments didn't go unnoticed by the 1D lads as Liam retorted today: “Who is boy George?” to which George replied: “Really? You need to get out more!” Of course, this isn't the first time the pair have gotten into a public spat with Boy George blasting the 'Story Of My Life' singer for allegedly snubbing him at the Brit Awards in February.

However, Liam denied he blanked the singer and his niece explaining the situation via Twitter: “@BoyGeorge now now boy lets not tell porkies firstly thanks for getting my name wrong three times secondly then asking me where is liam?...akward then when you finally got it right saying you wanted Niall instead.

“If you would have asked me for a picture i would have stopped bro I just did what you said and pointed niall out for you so u just keep wearing ur strange hats and enjoy yourself my little Georgie pie... It's still not cool you just look weird.”

He later added: “@BoyGeorge do you really want to hurt meeee do you really want to make me cryyy come on 'boy' lighten up ... Can I borrow a hat and make up for next Halloween I'd love to look as scary as you ;)

He seems to have an incessant need to be recognized, ass-kissed, whatever... god forbid somebody not pay attention to him or acknowledge him, then he throws a little tantrum.

And why pick on the 1D boys, particularly Liam. They did nothing to him. Those boys probably don't even know who he is (unfortunately). Even then, they have no obligation to acknowledge him.

Someone needs publicity.

He and 1D were at an awards show and George was with his niece who is apparently a big fan of 1D. George claims that Liam refused to give his niece an autograph so George got mad and started attacking them on twitter. Like he said he's like that, if someone does some minor thing that annoys him like Kylie turning down his song, he won't let go or forget about it but keep bothering and attacking them for them for the next 20 years or something.

ahhh....ok. At least he admits it.

As for Liam from 1D, perhaps he was just throwing a little shade, but I find it a little sad that he doesn't know who Boy George is. I mean, you don't have to like the guy, but if you know anything about music.... I mean, c'mon....

1. What the hell does "deny who they are" even mean? It doesn't really make any sense.

2. So all 'gay' magazines are automatically sensationalism? Or all magazines in general are sensationalism? Or all media in general is all sensationalism?

Yes, yes and yes. Ever read tabloid journalism that doesn't try to get a reaction from people?

Here's the latest update from twitter.

He doesn't know if he said it or not? He has to call his lawyer to determine what happened. Madonna really is the Queen! Slagging her off is a crime and you have to call your lawyer if you are accused of doing it! George has a lot of experience with lawyers with all his arrests!

You're misreading what he wrote. It's figurative speech.

For example:

Girl one: You stole my handbag!

Girl two: No I didn't steal your ugly handbag!

Girl three: I caught it on tape!

Girl two: Play the tape and we shall see if I actually stole your handbag shall we? I'm getting my lawyers onto you for slander.

He just has terrible grammar. I'm not a fan of Boy George as I already said but some people seem to obviously hate which is somewhat disappointing to watch. Boy George has a big mouth and he needs to learn some subtlety but I don't consider him particularly spiteful. He's actually a very shy gay and in the eighties was very active with things that matter. It sounds like I'm defending him here but I'm not. I'm just sick of people taking magazine articles as gospel (surely as Madonna fans we should know the bullshit they write above everyone) and hating strangers. I mean it's totally ridiculous when you think about it.

  1. @BoyGeorge one second ur a Madonna fan then you slag her off, stop using her name for publicity it's desperate and obvious

  2. @VertigoTheatreP We shall see if I actually said that? My lawyer is dealing with it!

I get what you mean but regardless of whether on this occasion he actually declared those things about Madonna (it wouldn't be the first time) to that French gay magazine he's clearly just seeking publicity for himself. Look at these statements from the guy himself from back in August, he really pulls out an Elton going back and forth every once in a while and it makes him sound desperate. He's a legit musician and an icon from the 80s scene, he shouldn't be wasting time commenting on One Direction considering they didn't talk about him in the first place nor did any harm to him. It just reeks of publicity-seeking desperation

Is this figurative speech as well?

Boy George got One Direction fans into a right frenzy earlier this year when he publicly fell out with Liam Payne on Twitter, and now the veteran hitmaker has said that he loved winding them all up

The star conceded that he "did say some vile things", but had an absolute blast in the process.

"I wouldn’t know who One Direction were if they fell on my head,” he laughs in a new interview with the Daily Star. “I’m older than them, they should treat me with respect."

"I blocked all the band, I couldn’t be bothered to hear anything they said but I couldn’t help winding up their fans," he added.

The Do You Really Want To Hurt Me star went on: “One tweeted me saying: ‘My mum says you’re a horrible old has-been.’ I tweeted back saying: ‘Your mum’s probably an old, fat ugly bitch.’ :lmao:

“I was having such a laugh, fighting with One Direction’s fans all night. I did say some vile things, I had too much sugar. But I really enjoyed it." :chuckle:

He went on to speculate that one of the boyband must be gay, but didn't name any likely contenders.

“The odds are one of One Direction must be gay," he said. "I think everyone is a bit bisexual deep down, so the odds are they are probably all bisexual. They’re rock stars so it’s what you’d expect, isn’t it? I’d be disappointed if they weren’t." :rotfl:

"Tattoos don’t make you butch. Look at me," he added.

The animosity began when Boy George apparently tried to get a pic with the heart-throb for his niece, but was allegedly shunned. He tweeted: "Top marks to Harry Styles for stopping for a picture with my niece and B*****s to Liam and the disrespectful w****r of a minder!"

It amazes me that he of all people uses fat as an insult . Considering last year he as the size of a bloody double decker bus.

Normally, if a journalist writes that, is because he was talking about "artists like Madonna or Kylie" and then he keeps on talking and gives that bombastic opinion. Of course he was talking about them, why would the journalist write Madonna and Kylie if not? Especially, because Kylie is not precisely very relevant these days, so if he wrote it is because Boy George talked about them

And i can understand why some people can think that Madonna tries to be trendy. But Kylie?????? She's been doing the same for the past 13 years, hahahaha.

Also proves he's out for publicity

WTF :rotfl:

I think he's just having fun and he's tired of the histrionic bullshit that comes from the likes of 1 Directions publicity machine. Speaking of publicity, doesn't everybody go for that? Including our very own Queendonna.

But I guess his voice will never reunite with them...

take a few years off? more like take a couple decades off.....that time off cost him his integrity and his voice.

ive listened to the album. his voice is shot. people are saying its matured, I beg to differ, its damaged beyond repair.

it sounds aged and quivery. flat and boring. its kinda sad, boy had some soulful chops and his melodies were strong.

I was hoping for some calypso type of DO YOU REALLY WANT TO HURT ME...but his voice falls beyond flat on every track.

big disapointemt.

nothing he's done since 1983 has been worth anything except his mark ronson collab, I'd love to brake into that beautiful house and throw away all those god awful hats :snore:
