The DVD

I didn't really care too much for what they did with Olympia. I think some angles and shots from the live show were better than the ones in the finished product. I also didn't like part of what they did with the behind the scenes thing. Everything looks so dark in the footage, it's hard to see, and I don't like the graphics they used.

I kind of wanted something a little more "arsty" a la what JA did for the CT; I think that suits this tour better than a straight forward concert format (i.e. the way S&ST was put together). :(

i think for the dvd release they are going the edit the hell out of it and add special angles and effects

they couldnt do all of that for the Olympia show because it was for youtube an a live internet broadcast

plus the guy involved edited W.E,, Confessions and S&S

so if you guys are expecting the dvd to be like the olympia show you guys are going to be very disappointed

Oh yeah, good point. Well I'm sure whatever it is will be great. Im just stating what my preferences are. I like the Confessions DVD. My main issue is vocals that don't even look real in S&S. It looked like she was miming more than it does in Vogue in Olympia where she actually is.

Look at the Olympia show, the picture looks muted. It's not vibrant, not even color accurate.

I love how pale she is in the Olympia edit, she glows like the goddess that she is.

If they did THIS "Ladies, lad..lad..ladies" thing (from 1:32 to 1:42), then, it will be perfect :wow:/>

Yeah I can tell the paleness of the colors. I hope it's not like that for the DVD. I do like it but I want everything to be vibrant just cause of the screens and lighting being so incredible!

Yeah that part in Vogue is :wow: ! Incredible!

Danny Tull was (is) the editor, right? I'm not so concerned about him as much as I am concerned about the director & the rest of his team :lol:/> Who do we blame the S&ST's "repeating tortilla incident" on? :lol:/>

What is the repeating tortilla incident?

+ i hope they make it easy to edit the (naturally awful) crowd singing in Like a Prayer

This was set up in Miami, I assume to ensure enthusiastic interactions. Several fans (all had been to more than several shows and were recognizable to Guy O) were pulled from the GT just before LAP and placed in different areas around the catwalk.....Madonna went directly to them for the sing-a-long, the only spontaneous fan was the kid next to me who had a chance on the mic. Right after LAP, the planted fans were escorted back into the GT.

:dramatic:

Let's just hope they don't turn the magnificence of this tour into another CT overediting frenzy

And we're getting this in Blu-Ray too!

I think the Confessions Tour editing is a little bit overdone - as I always like to say, it feels a bit like a Kylie DVD in places. What I did enjoy a lot though was the abundance of close-ups of her magnificent face. And yes, even though it was overdone it was a welcome surprise after the Drowned World Tour DVD and the complete lack of a DVD for Re-Invention.

Sticky and Sweet is good but I always feel the colours feel a little bit 'faded', or is that just me?

Best stage face of her entire career (BAT curls version aside)

If only they could include half as many magnificent close-ups with MDNA

Her face looked great on this tour, particularly during the last section

The Face is in full force in the Masculine/Feminine section - all the way from "Vogue" to "Like a Virgin". I do hope we get some close-ups. :wow:

as MDNA setlist, scenography and themes were a huge and great mush up of all tours before i m guessing we ll have a 3 diferent tours DVD recording in one

so

i would like to have

CT get together kind I m addictet -

DWT impressive instant kind of Girl Gone Wild -

RI mother and father kind of Open Your Heart

S&S get into the groove kind of Celebration

and so on

I don't think they'll use the opening number outfit because they'll think the whole gun thing will put off potential buyers (:lmao: ).

I really hope they don't go for the majorette outfit because it's my least favourite and the only bit in the concert where she looked seriously old (the red lipstick clashing with the white outfit and the red stripes did her no favours.)

Masculine/Feminine outfit cone bra is iconica supreme and should be used.

Which obviously means they'll probably go for a random shot from the "I'm a Sinner" performance. Let's face it, her DVD covers have largely been shit! :rotfl:
