Mattress Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Oh, how I long for a Summer release à la True Blue.
Flip The Switch Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 She's not working with Daft Punk. They keep turning her down Boo.
Guest Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 She's not working with Daft Punk. They keep turning her down Most likely over money and terms of contract. M is very thrifty.
robster Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 But M has some very direct links to Daft Punk now... with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, and a lot of Daft Punk's latest album was recorded in LA....
Samo Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Madonna HAS TO release during the Christmas holidays in either October or November, no excuses. The album sales will not only be higher with holiday sales, but if M doesn't start her tour until June 2015, it'll give her plenty of time to promote the album, before tour rehearsals that would probably begin in March 2015 With a KILLER first single and lots of promo combined with a holiday release, M could sell between 3-4 million copies worldwide Which, ironically would put her album among the top 5 best sellers of the year worldwide, because album sales are so bad amymore. It will also shut up a lot of haters who called MDNA a flop MDNA was a disappointed, but with almost 2 million sold was hardly the "huge flop" the media made it out to be.

Samo Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 why not may? NO! It'll be an MDNA part 2 and Madonna won't promote it because of her tour that summer. No matter how good the album is, plus it won't have holiday sales to help it.

GOD Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Didn't she say 13 is her lucky number? I wonder if it's still is.
dollhouse Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Do you really think she could turn the tide? Her album sales are lower and lower each time since Confessions.
karbatal Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Do you really think she could turn the tide? Her album sales are lower and lower each time since Confessions. Of course. She only has to release a single that appeals to bigger audiences and her sales will rocket. Her fanbase is as strong as ever (3-4 million fans), she only has to have a big hit and at least 3 million more will jump wagon!
tumbleweedt Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Do you really think she could turn the tide? Her album sales are lower and lower each time since Confessions. Turning the tide? Godonna can part the Seven Seas! If a small celestial body like the Moon can already create the tide, imagine the capabilities of The Biggest Star In The Universe Right Now As We Speak…..
Barbie Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Of course. She only has to release a single that appeals to bigger audiences and her sales will rocket. Her fanbase is as strong as ever (3-4 million fans), she only has to have a big hit and at least 3 million more will jump wagon! Bingo. She just needs the right song and well....she needs to promote her product. The more people that know the album is out, the more that buy it.
Raf Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Turning the tide? Godonna can part the Seven Seas! If a small celestial body like the Moon can already create the tide, imagine the capabilities of The Biggest Star In The Universe Right Now As We Speak….. I love your passion
Guest Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 If like to know if a movie or album will come out first.
Phineaspoe Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Do you really think she could turn the tide? Her album sales are lower and lower each time since Confessions. Coincidentally, she's been targeting the wrong demographic since Confessions.
tumbleweedt Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Coincidentally, she's been targeting the wrong demographic since Confessions. Care to expand on that?

Flip The Switch Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Care to expand on that? youngers? 4 Minutes, Give Me All Your Luvin'.
madonnasuperfan01 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I think she could have a hit record again if she's doing amazing music and promotion. But it's not like she NEED it at this point of her career.
Camacho Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Do you really think she could turn the tide? Her album sales are lower and lower each time since Confessions. Um nearly everybody's albums sales are lower each time. Album sales overall have been dropping 10-15% EVERY year the past decade. Don't be surprised if her next album only hits gold in the U.S. even if she has 2 hit singles and promotes the hell out of it for months. Album sales are getting so bad that it will eventually seem pointless to publish the BB 200. Album sales overall will further decrease with increasing piracy, cherry picking songs on iTunes instead of making album purchases, and streaming services like spotify/Pandora/etc. getting even more popular. The top selling album last year sold 2.4 million. 10 years ago that number would've been TRIPLE that at least.
XXL Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Her album sales are lower and lower each time since Confessions. Uhm everyone's sales are lower since 2005 or before that Or even 2008/2009 for that matter She's always a top 15 best-selling artist worldwide and in her 50s COADF was a top 5 release HC and Celebration a top 15 MDNA landed a #12 without promotion That's pretty damn good
dollhouse Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 well thats my point. Can she fight it or will her next release sell even less than MDNA? Some people are expecting 3-4 million with a hit single..
Mmmmm Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 The only thing against her is the bloody ageist radio!
Mat.Guy Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Thats not actually true. Last year was the first year the record business registered an increase on album sales (physical + digital) in a long time. The business is not dead yet.
Flip The Switch Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Promo is the key. Period. iTunes, youtube, Twitter, all the media. That's how it works now.
