Nightshade
late 2011?? wouldnt it be more like mid 2011 Well, going on her approx "1 year from start to release schedule," she'll probably shoot the film June-July-August and be in the recording studio shortly after (Sept-Oct-Nov). I would suspect the album would then come out about a year from then - so 4th quarter 2011. Just a guess anyway. If she was writing and recording right now, I'd more likely think mid-2011, but judging from Guy's comments and her past recording schedules, I think Fall 2011 is the most likely bet. I am not too sure when the tour would kick off - she may wait like she did with Confessions and tour 6 months after the album release (which in this case would be spring/summer 2012), or she could do something more quickly like Sticky and Sweet and only wait 4 months and then we could see something in the winter 2012. I'm not saying for sure that's what we'll get, but I have a hunch it's gonna be good.

seanster
I wouldn't really mind waiting until later 2011 for a new album. As long as what she delivers is amazing I can wait. shall we pencil an album in for september 2011??
karbatal
I have a feeling that she's going to be VERY, VERY serious about her next album, with all the Gagas and people believing she's done. I hope it's not wishful thinking. But with Madonna nothing is wishful thinking, i guess. I was sure she was going to be on fire after AL and she was. I think after so many years on business and having done so many things, one of the few things that make thing react is when public turn its back and she has to get them back. As soon as she has everybody eating from her palm, she gets crazy again and releases stupid videos and all that. That happened with Sorry, for example. She stopped promoting Confessions so suddenly...
cosmic_system
Are you for real? The promo for Confessions was HUGE, and when Sorry was released she was already working on the Confessions Tour. Yes, Gaga is on tour and she's also doing a tv pormo, but remember she's 24 and she isn't a mother. Her life is her work, that changed for Madonna years ago. Nightshade
I remember her LN contract stated releasing music album is not a must. I think you're right. However, $45 million of the $120 million deal was made up in advances for 3 new albums. If she wants that dough, bitch will pony up the songs. Guest imalq
late 2011?? wouldnt it be more like mid 2011 yeah when again did she record COADF? didnt it take like less than 6 months to get it out?
peter
I know in interviews she said she recorded COADF with Stuart in his apartment while she was editing I'm Going to Tell You a Secret. So, basically, between Re-Invention Tour ending in late 2004 and when COADF was released in late 2005. (Most of the recording would have had to have been finished prior to August 2005, when she had the first horse accident. She had supposedly shot the album artwork with Klein just days before the horse fall on her birthday.) "I Love New York" was written while on tour, which is why it got included in demo form in IGTTYAS. That was rough-recorded with Stuart then (at a soundcheck?) but she obviously re-recorded later. I think Stuart played the dub (vocal-less) version of "Hung Up" at some gig in Australia in July 2005, so it would have probably been completed even then. He supposedly tested a lot of her tracks out this way at his DJ gigs to see how they went over and adjusted accordingly.
horn
I think she needs to find someone who can actually inspired her to create something fab just like ROL. I remember she was fishing around after Evita and dun really know what to do until she came across W/O and gave her the inspiration. Billboard even called her "Artiste" and said she can predict the future music trend. Therefore I think it would be better if she releases a new album in 2015. jonski43
I'm telling you, her next album will be huge I don't think the reviews for Hard Candy were bad - my concern is general apathy towards her. However, taking a year off is good esp whilst GaGa is reigning supreme. Joanne must be due a break soon to write that difficult second album during which M can come back and open a can of aural whoop ass.

We'll probably be seeing it late this year or early next year. And I'm betting it will be just as huge as everything else she's releasing. Ga Ga is experiencing a run like Madonna did in the mid 80's.
