What will Bleeding Loves aud. imp. be at the end of the week do you think?

60M max... for LEONA and 38M max for MADONNA

good to see USHER and SPARKS further sinking down... it can only mean that 4M is still increasing

is that BDS? she's barely 60 in Mediabase...

Mediabase.

The question was, what will her airplay be at the end of the week?

The tracking week ends Tuesday. By then, she'll have 65-70M.

You had said max 60M by then, which is incorrect.

'4 MINUTES' OF FAME

Hi Keith,

Madonna's new video "4 Minutes" made its world premiere April 3 on iTunes, amidst lots of hype at the online digital store. This begs the question: do music video sales at iTunes (or any other digital retailer) count toward the charts, specifically the Hot 100?

At first, I didn't think so, but then I realized that video streams, along with their audio counterpart, count toward the Hot 100. Furthermore, video/DVD singles count toward the chart, so why not music video sales at digital sites?

On the flip side, though, music video airplay (on TV networks) does not count toward the Hot 100. So, I'd appreciate it if you could clear this one up for the avid chart fans out there. Thanks.

Jim Radenhausen

Stroudsburg, Penn.

Hi Jim,

Silvio Pietrolungo, who manages the Billboard Hot 100, responds:

"It has been discussed. At the moment, since iTunes is the sole digital retailer (or at the very least the primary vendor) of video downloads, they have been reluctant to provide us that information since it would reveal sales numbers for only their company. And the feeling was mutual on our end as we do not utilize any data streams which come solely from one retailer."

So, hopefully that clears it up for you Jim! Now, if only other retailers started selling video downloads, then maybe music video clip sales could be factored into the Hot 100.

Okay...This is my logic. When Madonna hit itunes she closed the gap on Mariah pretty fast yet still sold something like 60,000 fewer downloads even with that fast closing of the gap. Madonna right now has had a BIG gap on Mariah for about 2 or 3 days now and I am sure it will last into the weekend soooooo could she possibly sell well over 60,000 more this week, even though she needs what? To at least sell something like 100,000 downloads more to be #1? Which does seem kind of hard.

it really wasn't that close between MARIAH and MADONNA yet during sunday midnight...

it got really close tuesday then she became #1 wednesday... I am actually reading into the bars using USHER & SPARKS as reference point for they have been selling steadily around the 125k-135k for the past weeks... last sunday, those two were more than half of MADONNA's bars... since Tuesday this week, those two have been less than half of MADONNA... and up to now, MADONNA's gap from those two are still getting longer esp when the video came out... which is very promising, I am still thinking of a 250k-260k minimum figure when the sales come out APRIL 9... which will put her in a fighting chance to be #1, her only competition for this week is MARIAH... hope TMB further slips down...

This was posted by botoxic earlier today:

No. 1 - Usher (+3.3 million)

No. 2 - Mariah (+1.5 million)

No. 11 - Leona (+5.6 million)

No. 33 - Madonna (+1.8 million)

Based on the above, here's how much 4 Minutes needs to outsell the competition by at this very moment to top the Hot 100 this week (further airplay gains by Usher & Leona not taken into account):

Usher - 92,000

Mariah - 85,000

Leona - 22,000

hmm, USHER and LEONA would be easy...

it's all about how fast MOOMOO falls in the downloads to get MADONNA to #1...

assuming that popularity bars are reliable...

one thing's sure, she won't fall out of the TOP3...

TMB may be #4 by end of saturday...
