Guest confessedit
TRULY more Sweet than Sticky for Madonna...amazing that in this world economy and in the 25th year of her reign she can pull in these crowds and these $'s. Just goes to show that the public knows that he puts on a show like no one else alive. Madonna truly is the Queen. VIVA MADONNA!!!
Nightshade
With those numbers forecast for Houston and Miami, the tour will definitely be over $200M before it reaches Mexico! It's very exciting! I am amazed at these numbers.
Probed By Greys
SHE SHOULD GO TO LAS VEGAS EVERYTIME SHE TOURS. LOOK AT GROSS SALES / PERSON You should put those numbers on a website.
Guest boytoyville
I am thrilled at the numbers. The American Stadium grosses are on par with the European ones which is GREAT. We should see some US stadiums next time also. SO EXCITING. As has been stated by Live Nation, no one can accomplish what Madonna does in such a short period of time. It's INCREDIBLE! Guest heartmadonna.
She gets 90% of the gross revenue from the tour's ticket sales, then minus production costs, I'd guess around $100 million from that alone. Tour merchandising profit is split 50-50 with Live Nation, so maybe another $20 million on top of that for a total of $120 million. After taxes though, I have no idea. woah, pretty damn good. i wouldnt even know what to do with 100million, thats insane amounts lol

mtzlplk
over 6 more dates in the US unreported and it's already $186M... if each date averages $4M which would seem to be easy, it's all set to end up with $210M minimum for the whole UK and US stretch... VIVA MADONNA INDEED!!! UK - $116M US - $70M so far... it would be great if the US leg reaches $100M level too...

lori
Madonna Tour Grosses $91.5 Million In North America November 26, 2008 - Touring By Ray Waddell, Nashville Madonna wraps the North American leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour tonight in front of 50,000 people at Dolphin Stadium in Miami. The 28 dates in North America have grossed about $91.5 million and moved about 550,000 tickets, according to tour producer Arthur Fogel, chairman of global music for Live Nation. Next up is Mexico City, beginning Nov. 29. Counting her European run, Madonna is currently at about $207.5 million in ticket sales and on a pace to hit about $282 million when Mexico/South America wraps. That would make Sticky & Sweet the top-grossing tour ever by a female artist or solo artist. http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/content_dis...688bc198ee61285

Guest Hafo
Would the $91.5M figure be right? That means that the remaining US dates made around $21.830.000 -> Houston, Philly, Atlantic City, Atlanta and Miami.
Guest jamesshot
I wanna see her Houston numbers! With the gap in touring Houston( 18 years), her huge fan base in Texas, all the casual fans coming out to see her, all the money they shelled out, Houston being completely sold out for months leading up to the concert, she should do huge numbers here. Silly question, but how does merchandise figure into the boxscores( or do they)?

Guest Hafo
I doubt it, based on the article below: The Billboard Boxscore charts provide a glimpse of the concert touring industry by tracking box-office ticket sales throughout the world and ranking the year's top grossing tours, concert venues, promoters and events. Various sources report box-office totals, but most of the data comes from promoters and concert venues. Generally, the promoter's report takes precedence over other sources. There are time limitations for being included on the published weekly chart. A Boxscore is eligible to appear in the publication if the show occurred no longer than seven weeks prior to the issue date. Every Boxscore reported, however, is posted on billboard.biz each week. All reported Boxscores are added to the database and counted for the year-end charts, but to appear in print on the weekly chart, they must be current. So, whatever grand total Celine's camp (or fans) would put out after her tour is finally done would be speculation. Or at least not supported by the imprimatur of the box scores. And since this will be her Farewell Tour she wouldn´t have any problem to sell tickets. What was the top grossing tour of all time again? Rolling Stones. What was the revenue? Madonna could do "the hits" tour plus some rare tracks(so she doesn't get bored) then play her Farewell tour. That is 2 tours likely to be blockbusters unlike anything we have seen. Glad that people are finally realizing this! There was a reason why those dates weren't reported and it's because the figures weren't very good. The North American dates she has done have don great thus they were reported to boxscore. In terms of Janet, well those were just sad and they probably so mad about the tour going unfer that Live Nation and them published to embarrass her.
