TOUR UPDATE: DUBAI 2 Concerts finalizing NOW

Recommended Posts

Wembley is priced too high. Even the best seats are not worth £160 - the stage will still be far away. And many seats at the back are £160. I think Livenation have messed up a bit with this one. Wembley arena would fit in the pitch of Wembley stadium it's that small. People aren't dumb. They know Madonna will be the size of a postage stamp where ever they sit in the stadium. I'm not surprised there will be no second date.

I'm still surprised she hasn't added a Manchester date though, especially given the big gap in the schedule after Wembley. She could have done two Wembley dates had she not decided to open in Cardiff - I mean what an IN-BRED location to start a tour.

They have overestimated the demand for these gigs. They are too expensive. Prices in Europe seem much cheaper. I also looked at ticketmaster.com for the US dates and the cheapest seats in smaller venues average $60 dollars which is UK £30 - less than half the price of the cheapest, nosebleed Wembley seats (£65).

Why dose she fleece the UK so much? I agree that premiering the tour in Cardiff seems a little odd... Wembley would have been a more 'glamorous' opener. I also thought a Scottish stadium might have got a look-in this time around as opposed to Manchester. Mind you I doubt £160 would prove popular north of the border.

may? It will. Tickets are too expensive and the demand to see an M show is still very high. In a way this is bad news because her next tour will be even more expensive.

^ Seriously. Personally I find her wembely prices just fine. Nothing less than historic to get a chance to see Madonna & Wembely Stadium.

It's interesting that Rome isn't listed anywhere as being sold out, since it's almost impossible to get tickets for it from any official outlet. They were listed as unavailable at ticketone.it by early afternoon they day they went on sale and they've only had limited seats available for certain sections for mere minutes on a couple of occasions since then.

The Rome Hot Tickets are sold out - the only Sold Out Hot Tickets on the continent.

Tickets for Madonna's Nov. 11 concert at the Pepsi Center went on sale this past weekend, and the Material Girlwho has never played Colorado — sold out the 18,000-seat arena in just 25 minutes.

Fans who didn't get a ticket will have another chance. Madonna has added a second Denver show.

On Monday morning, the pop star's promoter, Live Nation, announced that the singer will perform Nov. 12 as well. Tickets for the second Pepsi Center concert will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday via Ticketmaster outlets. Prices, again, are $59 to $354.

Madonna's "Sticky and Sweet" tour is selling out arenas and stadiums the world over in record time. And her new record, "Hard Candy," remains in the Top 10 in the U.S. after debuting at No. 1 a month ago.

I wonder who will cancel their concerts this year?

I predict that Janet's tour will have some problems. She may have to cancel a few shows that don't sell well,or move it to a smaller venue.

SO MUCH DEMAND FOR MORE PLACES FOR M TO TOUR....

Living in Peru

Israel J. Ruiz

It would be impossible for Madonna to come to Lima on her Latin America tour, which is to begin in December, said Jorge Fernandez, an entrepreneur in the entertainment business at Show S.A. company.

Fernandez assured that it was not likely for the Queen of Pop to make an appearance in Lima due to the fact that she charges approximately $4 million per concert.

He explained that this amount could not be raised in a concert in Lima even if the National Stadium were filled to its full capacity.

"I am aware that a group of businessmen have come together to try and get the money but they themselves know that producing this event in Peru is a utopia. We don't even have a decent stage or good sound equipment to host a show like the one Madonna will put on in her new world tour," said Fernandez to Terra News.

According to Terra, the experienced producer said that the Andean country would be ready for a concert of this magnitude next year.

"We need more places to host events, more companies that provide sound, lights and scenery. After taxes were reduced things have taken off, that's why now there is more demand than offer and that is hurting us," explained the producer.

Madonna, who was ranked the "Best Selling Female Rock Artist of the Twentieth Century" by the Recording Industry Association of America, is scheduled to perform in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Mexico near the end of this year.

Jamesshot:

I did some research on ticketmaster.com for Houston and Los Angeles

heres what i found:

1) Houston: Tickets for the last row are still available. Big Price/ Good seats: gone!

2) Los Angeles: Tickets mirror Houston- Big Price/ Good seats : gone.

So, theatrically- consider both will be "sold out " soon... not yet...but bet on it!

Here it goes again- 18K tickets in 25 minutes? HARDLY. Do some not comprehend that by now?

It's really not impossible for that to happen. SOME shows really actually sell out most of their tic initially. The first Chicago date for instance after a full day or two really didn't have tix available. Live Nation on their website had even taken down the link to ticketmaster & it said no tickets available. They are always going to hold some VIP tix & tickets until the final stage in known about but for instance in France also the first show in Paris is IMPOSSIBLE to get tix for and that show sold out immediatly. I mean when you can't get any tix by regular means until like 1 week before the even that shit is SOLD OUT! That would be why billboard makes a sold out at their box office! You don't have to pack people into a venue like sardins to call a show a sellout!

Tickets Sold Out? Cross Your Fingers And Madonna Might Add Another Date

(June 2) Tickets to see Madonna live at her Sticky and Sweet Tour are all the rage as many performances are selling out in under an hour.

Those unfortunate enough to miss the ticket rush may still get lucky. The diva is adding second and third performances in cities with sold out concerts.

Case in point, Denver. Madonna’s first ever performance in Denver, scheduled for November 11th, sold all 18,000 seats in under 25 minutes. Now, Madonna has added a second show to take place on November 12th. Tickets for this performance will go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m.

While her new record “Hard Candy,” is sill in the Top 10 in the US and ticket sales are high, fans can expect a continuation of the competition over limited tour tickets.

question.

why do her shows no longer sell out as fast as they used to be?

Well, this is the 4th time in 7 years that she'll be going to a lot of the same markets. Look at Denver who has never seen her at all and they have a 2nd night added (pretty impressive for a "smaller" market). Look at NYC they have probably had somewhere around 17 or 18 shows in the past 7 years (if you add all the dates of the previous tours) yet she still has managed to have a 4th night added there. I think before a lot of people assumed because of her age that they better go and see her because "this may be the last time she tours again". Now, it looks like she has no signs of slowing down. Also, undoubtedly the economy may play a role in this too. A lot of people just DO NOT have $350 to piss away on a concert right now. Not sure if people outside the US fully realize but it's BAD here right now.

Personally I think she should've skipped Philly and Boston this time. Between those two cities didn't she do 5 or 6 shows only 2 years ago?? I mean those are big markets but not HUGE ala NYC or LA so why go to those places EVERY SINGLE TIME. She should've done DC (since she missed them last tour) and also did Detroit (she hasn't been there since DWT). Good to see she's doing SOMEWHERE in the south (Atlanta) besides south Florida this time though.
