ryan
zero spins from MTV??? well, that's what happens when you shoot a cheap video... it may just be cause MTV no longer is showing videos during late and early hours Thats how it was when the video premired on TRL, after that for like 2 weeks straight, they stopped playing videos in the morning

Skin
mtv really sucks. what happened? Its funny. Just to show you how dead MTV has become, I hear so many hit songs on the radio right now, and I for the hell of me coudlnt even tell you what the music video to these songs looks like. Hell. I couldnt even tell you what some of these new artists in general look like. Being that I was born in 82 and MTV has always been around, I now know what it feels like to have to put your own visual to a damn hit song. ryan
They only play music videos on 2 shows TRL, only 10 videos, same ones all the time, of songs that are in the top 40 on billboard And FNMTV

Guest beachboi-69
I am actually very surprised with the airplay.. it's even struggling in Canada for airplay.. which is kinda unbelievable. However, I do have a really good feeling about "Beat Goes On" getting some radio love. It became pretty obvious radio was wanting that single. It's up beat and more mainstream. Let's hope it drops in August.
Cherish
Yes, even radio in Australia isn't giving GITM much airplay. It was all over Sydney radio last week, but I've barely heard the song so far this week. The FM stations are still playing 4 MINUTES on high rotation. I suspect BGO will do better at radio! Madonna really should rush release it in the next few weeks.

Madonna-Greece
It is so sad that Mariblah Cow's "I'll be mowin grass longtime" is already at 26M AI althought it was added a week after GI2M on US Radio. And even when its spins were only 609 almost a month ago(as opposed to GI2M's current 954 spins) its AI was up to 6.3M! Why US radio loves so much Mariblah's turds I'll never understand! Her semi-flop "Buy Buy" had almost the same airplay peak as "4 Minutes" even though it was a sales failure! Guest LoveAngelMusicBaby
What's frustrating is how Madonna and her camp keep releasing singles which may flop, so they end up having a huge list of flop singles. That's irritating because they should only be releasing songs which they can predict will do well. There was once a time where Madonna could have released "Shanti" and it would have charted high. Those days are over. Also look on the brightside, this song had very strong sales initially, and it charted at #57 on the Billboard charts. At least it's not a TOTAL flop in all ways, .... Being positive :-D. I miss the days like my icon, where M had long darker curly hair, was spiritual, interesting, made awesome videos, got radio airplay and charted well. Then came the 00s, more flop movies, children's books, and ironically, 4 more albums (including MUSIC) not to mention soundtrack songs, and now going to be 4 world tours,.....and you'd THINK that the public/radio would embrace her MORE,...especially since the tours didn't flop, yet,...she's virtually dead on radio. Guest Danny86
There was once a time where Madonna could have released "Shanti" and it would have charted high. Those days are over. Really? You mean if she released "Shanti" instead of "Nothing Really Matters" she would have charted higher? Basically you're saying Madonna should only release 1 single / album not to ruin her chart run, since a Madonna single is more likely to flop than hit. I think that's stupid and outside the US she's still scoring Top 10 hits so Madonna should most definitely not give up releasing singles. Even because that would be another "oh this era sucks, Madonna just puts out her album and abandons it without filming videos or giving remixes to us"... Shanti would have never been a success, Frozen was very successful, Ray of Light was only a success in America in the rest of the world it was so so I still remember how shocked I was that it didn't chart higher, DW/SFL was a flop, TPOG was huge again, and NRM was a mess chartswise. People seem to forget that she always had major flops even at her best times.
Guest Danny86
People seem to forget that she always had major flops even at her best times. I know. Madonna being invincible on the charts ended a long time ago. Probably when "Bad Girl" was released. Since then arguments like "Madonna could have released anything and would have been a hit" never stood, I mean she indeed released "anything" as in "Bedtime Story" after a huge #1 and it didn't even reach the Top 40... Guest Danny86
I think the turning point was "Oh Father." I did want to say "Oh Father" but I remembered Madonna scored top 10 hits with stuff like "Keep It Together", "Hanky Panky" or "Rescue Me" after that. "TUTBMP" was also an "unlikely" #1 according to some.

"TUTBMP" was also an "unlikely" #1 according to some. i would say it really started with Bad Girl. after BG, Rain failed to hit the top 10.as well. that was the first time since the beginning of her career that she had 2 songs miss the top 10. after Oh Father she bounced right back with Keep it together vogue hanky panky justify my love rescue me TUTBMP erotica deeper
