mtzlplk Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 wow she should be 14x in UK then? Does anyone think a double-cd 25 yr anniv may come close to TIC numbers? Just imagine the certifications if that happens in the US.
Guest kangarooz Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Thanks. I guess it's just Madge who has all those single-week #1's. LOL I thought Leona sold more than that given all the hype. Well before downloads, most of the songs did spend only one week at number 1, but since 2005 with impact of downloads tracks are spending londer at number one x
Guest kangarooz Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Saw in newspaper (The Sun) at Tesco's if you buy Hard Candy (£9) you get another Madonna album of u're choice FREE! x
aeroco Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Saw in newspaper (The Sun) at Tesco's if you buy Hard Candy (£9) you get another Madonna album of u're choice FREE! x Yes, I didn't have time to go to HMV and bought HC in Tesco. Picked up TIC for free (can give to a friend). I wonder if these free copies count towards the chart? TIC's sales are amazing although I am confused as to whether Music Club sales count towards the certifications?
markm Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Over at Togerland Dullo (remember him?) is claiming that HC is already in the bargin bins because Tesco are selling it online for £8. LOON.
SOON Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Over at Togerland Dullo (remember him?) is claiming that HC is already in the bargin bins because Tesco are selling it online for £8. LOON. He's still as stupid as ever, QB will be amused
Guest Hafo Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I am going to predict #1 for HC in albums with sales of 28-30K. 4M also at #1 with sales of 12.5K.

I'm pretty certain the free copies won't chart, cos they have to be a minimum price for it to chart x
Brisy_Boy Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I'm pretty certain the free copies won't chart, cos they have to be a minimum price for it to chart x As the album is 9£ you are buying 2 albuns for 9£... they will probably chart...
Queen Bitch Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 He's still as stupid as ever, QB will be amused Is he still around? I gave instructions for him to be BEHEADED several years ago.
markm Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Is he still around? I gave instructions for him to be BEHEADED several years ago. Yes the MORON is still around spouting his usual crap

Queen Bitch Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 FABULOUS So the Tesco giveaways are eligible then - I remember when Woolies sold Bedtime Stories at £5.00 to people who bouth ROL and that went back into the charts at 24. Excellent that ths looks set to do the double for the third time in her career (or fourth if she did it with HU/COADF).
Queen Bitch Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Yes the MORON is still around spouting his usual crap I suppose he's finding it difficult to comprehend the digital age - given that POOR BRAVE SICK couldn't manage top 10 on downloads of 2 Farts despite all the HYPE of her CANCER COMEBACK

markm Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I suppose he's finding it difficult to comprehend the digital age - given that POOR BRAVE SICK couldn't manage top 10 on downloads of 2 Farts despite all the HYPE of her CANCER COMEBACK Poor Al Kylieda they will be in MELTDOWN when they see Madonna has 3 albums in the top 20 and could possibly be #1 again in the singles chart.
Guest Hafo Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I am going to predict #1 for HC in albums with sales of 28-30K. 4M also at #1 with sales of 12.5K. Oh I wasn't THAT far away!
sniper Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 COADF Monday - Saturday 217 000 in 2005 How much were for COADF on Tuesday midweeks?
Queen Bitch Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Oh I wasn't THAT far away! When I first saw that I thought you meant the week.
Mr Ciccone Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) COADF Monday - Saturday 217 000 in 2005 How much were for COADF on Tuesday midweeks? I think it was 58k. Although you have to bear in mind that 'Confessions' was released during the busy xmas period and had a ton of promotion, both before and during the release week! Edited April 29, 2008 by Mr Ciccone
Queen Bitch Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Yeah, there was major pre-release promo for COAD and wasn't CIN post-release? I think HC will do round about the same number in sales but it will be spread more evenly.

UK loves Madonna! Amazing! Hope she can keep these numbers! and maybe even rise higher with TIC and COADF... Anyway... i'm satisfied to see if she'll be #1 on both singles and albums chart... amazing
aeroco Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 COADF Monday - Saturday 217 000 in 2005 How much were for COADF on Tuesday midweeks? COADF was over 70k in the first set of midweeks. On that basis expect HC to sell around 100k this week. The reason for the giveaways charting is because Tesco have purchased them with a minimum dealer price and have decided to sell them for £0. The sales wouldn't count if Warners gave them away free, but Tesco have decided to try and pull in the punters with this offer. Seems crazy to me. I am sure they would have still had success if they sold them at £1.99. Still good to see COADF and TIC back for another week in the upper reaches.
Alexz Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Poor Al Kylieda they will be in MELTDOWN when they see Madonna has 3 albums in the top 20 and could possibly be #1 again in the singles chart. Where's X by the way? Top 50?
Guest Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 A lot of people in other forums is calling Hard Candy a huge flop because is expected to sell 100k during first week. So....UK fans buy the damn album now!!!!!!! I think that every fan should buy three copies(standard edition, deluxe edition and digital).
