  2. Due to the very high amount of votes I've received (62 so far), I announce that I'm still accepting votes for 24 hours! After that, I'll be preparing the Results Show. So if you want to participate or change your rates, it's now or never!

  3. Hi everyone! It is now time for the Madame X Megarate to start!

    en-36043.jpg

Rates are now allowed to be sent. The bonus tracks and "Soltera" will be part of the competition as well. There is no deadline for now, it will depend on the number of people that vote (though the rates will likely be accepted over the course of a week or two).

    Β

    Rules:

    • Make sure to know each song included in the competition.
    • Rate each song from 1 to 10. You are allowed to give the same rate to multiple songs.
    • Decimals areΒ allowed only up to the hundredth (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WHEN YOU CAN IN ORDER TO AVOID TIES).
    • You are allowed to give 0 and 11 to one song per era (OPTIONAL).
    • Send your rates to me by personal messenger, NOT in the thread.

This should be interesting! Hope a lot of you will join! πŸ™‚

  4. Hi everyone! I am here to announce that the Madame X Megarate will start on the 21st of June!

    en-36043.jpg

I've organised megarates multiple times across different forums, so why not doing one for the new Madonna album.

The reason it will start one week after the official release of the album is to make sure that people will have listened to all the songs multiple times. No deadline is fixed, it will depend on the amount of votes I receive.

Also question for you: should I include the 3 songs that are exclusive to the physical edition? Excluding them would maybe allow more people to participate in some way, but then we are not rating the whole thing soooo... Also people might still be able to fans the song. It's really up to you here.

For those of you who don't know how a Megarate works: every participants has to rate each songs from Madonna's Madame X from 1 to 10 (rules will be detailed once the game will start). With every score, average scores for each songs will be calculated and we'll have a definitive ranking of all of the songs from Madame X! :)

Hope a lot of you are interested and will be participating! :)

:dead: I am probably one of the very few who has not heard this fabulous eargasm everyone who has instead seems to be raving about, but your comment cracked me up big time!! ο»Ώ

I cannot wait to be mesmerized by it as well πŸ™‚

    Friday cannot come any sooooooooneeer!

I mean really before the choir comes in she kinda does this "mumble" thing she did in Crave if you know what I'm saying. After that it gets better. Probably a stylistic choice.

  6. So just listened to the tracks.

God Control: at first I was like, wtf is she singing like she has a dick in her mouth lol. But then the choir comes in and I got instant goosebumps. And then the disco fever starts and I was like damn. Great lyrics, great vibe, loved the use of gunshots sounds, the moment when she sang "it's a different kind of energyyyy" is to die for, as is the instrumental. The little rap is fun and very GAY which fits me lol. Experimental but still making sense (don't get me wrong, I like the fact that Dark Ballet is unique and experimental but I felt it worked way better while watching the video than as a standalone song). Wish she sang differently at the beginning but I also didn't like Crave's first verse at first for the same reason and now I completely got used to it and I think it will be the same for this one.

Crazy: Like the use of accordeons, the reference to Like a Prayer is nice. Reminds me of Crave a bit. Finally a song that I liked on first listen, hasn't happened in this era so far except for I Rise (and God Control). It's not experimental and it doesn't have to, it's instantly catchy and despite the use of autotune, I think her voice sounds good and I can understand what she says. Really great track.

I Don't Search I Find: This one I think I will need to listen to it a little bit more to fully appreciate it. Right now, I find it just good (kinda like Medellin on first listen, it's good but sometimes wished it was stronger during some parts). Has a very 90's house vibe, reminded me of Up Down Suite a lot, and the spoken parts reminded me of the Erotica album. The fans that loved her early 90's stuff will probably love this, but as a standalone track, I think there are better tracks on the album? Maybe it works better as part of the album, will check when the album drops.
