DEMO Discussions (Spoilers Ahead)

Recommended Posts

I don't listen much to the second leaks bunch. I'm oversaturated with leaks, i just can't. I just listened to the Rebel Heart accoustic, thouh, and it's so beautiful.

I would love to hear Arioso but i will wait a bit.

I never get tired of the first bunch of leaks, though!!!!

same here, the first bunch was definitely superior

dare i say it but Rebel Heart is like a hybrid of American Life and COADF

Hey guys new member here, and stupid in love with Madonna, lol. I couldn't contain myself and listened to the second leak of songs, but of course I will be buying the album when it comes out, which in my opinion should be much sooner than the set time because if she waits until March the leaks will continue and it will kill the promotion of the album. There are only three songs I feel iffy about, Graffiti Heart, Body Shop and the song that is supposed to be feauturing Pharell. Every other song is amazing in its own way, and I can see Ghost Town becoming a huge hit.

Maybe she's not ready until then though...

I am quite confident she can be ready before then. The songs are done, if there is a tweak to make here and there I say just do it and release it. I think the album has more potential to reach its full success that way rather than delay it and have leaks surfacing every week.

^^^ I think it'll be a bigger hit if she takes her time promoting and letting the songs speak for themselves. This is a strong material. Edgy and ahead of itself with throwbacks all over the place but with Madonn's special touch. Let things run its course.

She has to film a video, post production, the Grammys, Versace...it's all gonna build up such an incredible first single. The remixes are naturally the next step that will catapult the song/single where it needs to be by February/March!

I seriously can't wait for you guys to hear the final version/demo 2 of Iconic! It's epic and sounds NOTHING like the demo. The demo is a very rough draft of the final version wich is much more more anthemic and powerful. I think it will definitely make the album. There is just no way it's not going to.

Nothing Lasts Forever and Never Let Me Go (I haven't heard NLMG so far) are what later became Ghosttown, right?

The songs I REALLY want to be included are:

Iconic

Inside Out (This song is fucking PERFECT!)

S.E.X. (There HAS TO BE at least one sexual song on this album and this song is really good!)

Veni Vidi Vici (I'm not 100% convinced about it but it's a keeper I guees due to the retrospective parts)

Heartbreak City (I still love this song a lot. I'm sure the final version is going to sound very different but I wouldn't mind this song staying acoustic.)

Rebel Heart (This song was always kinda meh to me. I mean it's great and all but it seriously isn't as good as some people make it out to be. But it's the title track and ppl seem to like it so I assume she should keep it.)

reworked:

Holy Water (I have a soft spot for this one. I can see it being like an triple-upgraded version of Candy Shop if reworked by Dahi/BD)

Body Shop (This song is just so cute! Ugh...It has so much potential, in my opinion)

Here's the comprehensive list of all the "known" demos so far.

I have most of the leaked demos I have labled with their actual number. The number of the unleaked versions is pretty much assumed. Meaning that if there's a demo called #5 I'm assuming that there automatically has to be demos #1 - 5 as well. The same goes for demos tagged #1. There is a great possibility that if there's a demo labled #1 that there are more to follow, at least one. Especially, since the first demos so far have all been either really rough or more acoustic. However, I can't give you guys 100% gurantee on this.

I can imagine the final version of Iconic being really good. Although it sounds like some of a Chris Brown song or something. It even makes me think of MJ bait. It's the sort of lyrics he would have written.

W

FINALLY found the acoustic versions of RH and WAOM.

They're beautiful :dramatic:

WAOM especially. I don't like the first demo version.

WAOM acoustic is up there with her best ballads ever, and could be her most beautiful vocal ever

'Body Shop' has a lot of potential. If she swaps the trite lyrics for some of her excellent storytelling it would be ace! It kind of reminds me of Paul Simon's 'Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes' musically - very different and quite exciting stuff.

The amount of amazing tracks is really mind blowing. There's really only one song that I never need to hear again (Holy Water) but the rest is either already great or has the potential to be great. 30 years into her career and she can still deliver a masterpiece of an album. Speechless.

I wanna know what you’re all about

You’re beautiful when you’re broken down

Let your walls crumble to the ground

Let me love you from the inside out

Every scar that you try to hide

All the dark corners of your mind

Show me yours, and I’ll show you mine

Let me love you from the inside out

She sings Inside Out with so much emotion. This track has to be on RH, the melody, the voice, the crunchy synths are EVERYTHING
