Hold Tight Graffiti Heart Nothing Lasts Forever Best Night S.E.X
JoanOfArc Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Freedom has become one of my faves and when she sings "I want to start a revolution of love" i just melt.
Glindathegood Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 FREEDOM..... Love that one. Even though a lot of people don't like it. I love all the tracks i've heard except for the one with Pharrell. I think it's Back That Up. It just seems out of step with the general feel of this album.

I think it's Back That Up. It just seems out of step with the general feel of this album. Glinda, we seem to have similar tastes, love both Revolution and Freedom as well. Both songs are pretty simple, but beautiful in their simplicity and both carry a powerful message. Not to mention I always love it when M goes acoustic, I've missed that side from her in the last years.
magodonna Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 *'70s style porno guitar* Drop...Drop...Drop...Drop*wake up*DropDropDropDropDropDropDropDrop*wake up*RututututThundumMungumRututututThundumMungum ...OMG Orgasm Overload
moniquearis Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 What in gospel hell is the latest set of leaks? Too damn preachy for my taste. Like a fucking Christmas album.
luin Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I love Back to the Beat so much! The rum-tum-tum-tums remind me of Tom Tom Club Wordy Rappinghood
ITG Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Preachy? Are you a Madonna fan at all? #revolutionoflove
Chimera Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 *'70s style porno guitar* Drop...Drop...Drop...Drop*wake up*DropDropDropDropDropDropDropDrop*wake up*RututututThundumMungumRututututThundumMungum ...OMG Orgasm Overload I hear ya...full orgasmic funk! walked the Christmas streets with this song on repeat in my Ipod... but I do know this doesn't really match the feel of this album....maybe keep it for another album BUT WE ALREADY HAVE IT BABY!...oops!
ITG Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I love Back to the Beat so much! The rum-tum-tum-tums remind me of Tom Tom Club Wordy Rappinghood Back to the Beat? Is that a new demo?
moniquearis Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Preachy? Are you a Madonna fan at all? #revolutionoflove Madonna fans voice their opinions. Madonna fanatics lap everything up. #keepingit100
Glindathegood Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Madonna fans voice their opinions. Madonna fanatics lap everything up. I can see what you're saying if you listen to them all in a row. But on the album it's probably going to be evenly split between uptempo Rebel songs and the slower Heart songs. I think it would be good to have one or two of the acoustic "Art for Freedom" songs but not more than that. I vote for Revolution.
Mensch Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I love preachy Madonna. It's the essence of who she's always been only now it's more prominent than ever. Anyway that song is called Back it Up. I love it too!
Glindathegood Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I love preachy Madonna. It's the essence of who she's always been only now it's more prominent than ever. Anyway that song is called Back it Up. I love it too! I don't think it's the essence of her. It's part of her, but she also has a fun party side. With her shows there's a political interlude portion but there's also the entertaining dancing fun parts. Something for everyone. So I think she should have one of the "preachy" acoustic songs but not too many and certainly not have them dominate the album. I actually think the best songs are not the "preachy" political ones but the more heartfelt ones about relationships like Beautiful Scars. That is my favorite from the second set of leaks. That needs to be on the album.
aorlaan Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 i love freedom its too preachy but i love it when she preaches and takes me to church !
Glindathegood Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 i love freedom its too preachy but i love it when she preaches and takes me to church ! I like freedom but not the speech part when she's talking. It's too much! It would be a good song if she removed the speech part.
smeowly Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 like: beautiful scars hold on s.e.x. nothing lasts forever graffitti heart (but too short) rebel heart messiah joan of arc heartbreak city meh: body shop borrowed time addicted revolution veni vedi veci inside out best night wash all over me dislike: iconic (everything was going well until the "iconic" part) holy water (yuck yuck yuck) freedom (the speech spoils everything) back it up (yuck yuck yuck yuck)
ITG Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Madonna fans voice their opinions. Madonna fanatics lap everything up. #keepingit100Thought I did just voice my opinion!I actually love songs that have meaning....not always, it is pop music after all. But some of those 'preachy' songs are great. But as Glinda said, it will be a good mix of songs, not all 'preachy'!
Chimera Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I like freedom but not the speech part when she's talking. It's too much! It would be a good song if she removed the speech part. I love the talking part, it makes the song and the message stronger, maybe that's what some think is being "too preachy"?...think is the first time she does something like this in a song so I say keep it girl!

Like Glinda I also prefer gritty, scarred, organic Madonna. Relatable. The people's Queen.
ITG Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Questioning one's fandom is not very Madonna-like. Haha.....Madonna has been doing a lot of that lately.
moniquearis Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Haha.....Madonna has been doing a lot of that lately. That bitch! Haha, that's OK, she's human and she realized her knee-jerk reactions (just like me) and deleted some unsavory responses (though I see nothing wrong with her "artistic rape" comment).
Ghosttown Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I quite love freedom it still's need work but it could be a great song...like revolution ( but she just have to find a different melody for it : it'S too La isla bonita )
reQuiem4adream Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 LET ME LOVE YOU FROM THE INSIDE OUT, YEAH?
BackHome Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 i can image the return LAV bed to new tour and mix with S.E.X

That needs to be on the album. I can agree with that. There shouldn't be too many of the "preachy" songs but it's going to be so hard to choose which one(s) she will include. I think they are all great. There also the beautiful songs like beautiful scars, graffiti heart and hold tight...idk what she should include and omit especially with how they can sound when they are finished!!!
george28 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Hey guys new member here, and stupid in love with Madonna, lol. I couldn't contain myself and listened to the second leak of songs, but of course I will be buying the album when it comes out, which in my opinion should be much sooner than the set time because if she waits until March the leaks will continue and it will kill the promotion of the album. There are only three songs I feel iffy about, Graffiti Heart, Body Shop and the song that is supposed to be feauturing Pharell. Every other song is amazing in its own way, and I can see Ghost Town becoming a huge hit.
