Crystal Coffin Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 Stupid Kylie fans claim that "Frozen" is Madonna's "Confide in Me". The truth: It is more reasonable to say that CIM was influenced by this remix (which is almost a new song) of "Justify My Love". Madonna did the whole haunting Eastern-inspired stuff first. See also "Like a Virgin" on Blond Ambition Tour.
Plaything Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I don't see the connection between Confide in me (good song) and The Beast Within or Frozen. But yes - Madonna has an amazing voice..singing, speaking, laughing, all of it.

Crux Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Madonna's speaking voice is sublime. JML, Erotica, Rescue Me, Waiting, Secret Garden and Vogue...
hyper Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I thought this was about M's speaking voice - why bring Kylie into this thread? also, I never heard anyone claim Frozen is her CIM
RebelHart Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 ive got the re-invention tour version on my gym mix.
Crux Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I never heard anyone claim Frozen is her CIM. Post number 422 in the Kylie thread... I always felt that Frozen was Madonna's Confide In Me. Both songs are masterpieces, but Confide is the better song lyrically, vocally and musically. ...and he's not the only one. Kylie's fans have said this lots of times over the years.
hyper Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 ok then .. I still find it unnecessary to drag the Kylie discussion in here
VogueMusic Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Some of my favorite Madonna songs are the ones with a lot of spoken word. Her speaking voice IS everything.
Guest Pud Whacker Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Only she could ever pull that off. of course. they all try and its a big joke. from her first song, Everybody, that speaking voice was so seductive.
IsaacHarris Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 i could listen to her all day I LIVE FOR THIS Back when I was becoming a new fan, I remember stumbling upon this & replaying it at least 40 times.
kingvirtue Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Only she could ever pull that off. I wish there was a remix of "Justify My Love" (original lyrics) using this instrumentation.
Guest Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Her voice is almost as familiar to me as my own. It's beautiful, powerful, imperfect, and full of soul.
Crystal Coffin Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 You just know that the line "HE'S COMING WITH THE CLOUDS" is almost like a lightning that strikes in your circulatory system or some shit as such.
Guest material_boy Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Yes yes yes. +1 to allllll of this."The Beast Within" is truly one of my all-time favorite tracks. The Reinvention remix. That drum machine. That video.
XXL Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 You just know that the line "HE'S COMING WITH THE CLOUDS" is almost like a lightning that strikes in your circulatory system or some shit as such. Signed!!
goldtooth Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 PHYSICAL ATTRACTION bitches!!!!!!!Whaddya gonna do?
MotorCityMax Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 The spoken parts of Physical Attraction are so sexual and self-assured. I love that "What are you going to do?" that someone wrote, and then when she follows up with, "Well!" "What are you waiting for?" in Celebration, you can hear her devious, horny smile.
madonnasuperfan01 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Her speaking voice is SERIOUSLY awesome. So calm, elegant and yeah, powerful. That's one of the big reasons i love watching her interviews, i love her speaking voice as much as her singing voice.
Crystal Coffin Posted July 27, 2014 Author Posted July 27, 2014 "Physical Attraction" is sex in the form of music, come on.
MotorCityMax Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Way back in the day, a columnist in a Detroit newspaper wrote, "Madonna's speaking voice isn't as nice as I thought it would be." This was when the only time I'd heard her speak was that couple seconds of "Crazy For You," before "Desperately Seeking Susan" had been released. She doesn't have a commercial sounding, voice-over sound, but I've always been drawn to how honestly she speaks. More than anyone else, she really listens to questions being asked, and responds thoughtfully. She never lets an interviewer get away with some bullshit, passive-aggressive question.
adreeyen Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Of course all the examples so far are beyond amazing, BUT are y'all really gonna sleep on one of her absolute best spoken vocal deliveries???
