Nikki
EXCLUSIVE: Here’s a good rumor, with a little substantiation: Madonna may be planning a surprise single and video this month a la Beyonce. She may also be leaving clues out in the open. For one thing, Madge has been working with contemporary producer superstar Avicii (aka Swedish deejay Tim Bergling) on new music. Now comes word that famed photographer Mark Seliger and his video team (Barney Miller and Monica Monique) are casting for a video shoot on Wednesday on New York’s Lower East Side. Seliger/Miller and Monica worked on Avicii’s big hit “Wake Me Up.” Plus the list of characters for the video shoot, for a song called “Stranger,” sounds like typical Madonna: rollerskaters, bodybuilders, breakdancers, a drag queen a la Ru Paul, and a “leather boy” who “must be comfortable without a shirt.” http://www.showbiz411.com/2014/06/07/exclusive-madonna-leaving-clues-about-surprise-singlevideo-a-la-beyonce

Narendra Sen
Those Disclosure guys are young enough for Demonna to fuck. I guess she told them she wants to work with them on her new album but instead they just had a threesome. That's all.
Pressston
For me it's her no doubt, and she left clues on her instagram : First we have the Billboard snippet and then she post on instagram "You heard it" Then she posts pictures after pictures of Superstars (Prince, Michael Jckson, Elvis Prseley, pac...) Then she posts a pic of the word FUNK (the billboard track is pure funk) and she says "we'll be having more of this" and the next day we have a longer preview of the Billboard snippet. Since when Billboard makes a full article for an unknown underground producer with no name calling him a legend and saying they had to beg him on their knees to have the snippet, uh ?! Mmmmm
The longer preview was on Radio 1 for days, not yesterday. Could well be Nile Rogers, he is a dance legend.

Also when she was posting those images she was referring to kings, queens, princes and thugs...
robster
Someone on the ATRL forum posted these following lines in the Madonna - We R Superstars thread! Fan made fabrication or actual lyrics? These lines do have a Madonna esque feel to them and would tie the superstar theme to the art for freedom aspect of it all: "Ev'rybody is a staaaar, Everyone is special in their own way So you set your goal higher, go faaaaar Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today"

(That's if the casting is for M's music video) Doesn't it take at least 4 weeks to edit and finish!?
loowee
Could well be Nile Rogers, he is a dance legend. The "shape-shifting" description screams MADONNA rather than Nile. And I don't see why Nile Rodgers/his people will send some snippet to Billboard to hype up their music.
Kim
That remix sounds like hell. Is it official or some fan-made crap? Some fans really need to get a life, sorry to say that. I check this thread daily, yes, but I'm not ANXIOUS, CONCERNED, SHOCKED, FRUSTRATED etc. The only thing that frustrates me is that some of you don't have a freaking sense of humor. Is Stranger the much talked about Billboard snippet then?? Are we really to believe Roger Friedman of all people? If you read the whole article it just reeks with shade and ageism, he is just trying to set the mood for his new Madonna hate campaign, trying to install in people's minds that she's desperate & passé (clinging to 'contemporary' producers), copying Beyonce and that it won't work even before album release. He even implied she copied the title 'Rebel Heart' from some obscure book.

jackaboo
Do we think this song could not be from Madonnas album, but an Avicci track featuring Madonna? This could create a Madonna buzz amongst the GP right before her actual album comes out.

Plaything
Disclosure interview from a few weeks ago: STEREOGUM: What’s the timeline for starting a new project. Is that underway? HOWARD: Yeah, it’s underway in a sense. We’re always writing music on the road. I mean, we haven’t had any time in the studio to really crack down on anything, really, but we’re always writing ideas on the road. We’re touring pretty much constantly now up until September when the festival season sort of starts to fade away again. So I think we’re going to take a few months off at that point to really concentrate on writing the next record. But yeah, we’re definitely having fun experimenting for now. STEREOGUM: You must be getting a lot of offers from people wanting to sing on your tracks. HOWARD: Yeah, we’re getting approached by a lot of people. It’s amazing. STEREOGUM: How do you decide which ones to accept? HOWARD: We just work with people we think are good. (laughter) GUY: Yeah, if they’re any good. Credible — credibility’s quite important. HOWARD: To be honest, the main thing that dictates whether or not we work with someone at the moment is if we have time. STEREOGUM: If you could get one person you haven’t worked with yet as a dream collaboration for the next record, who would it be? HOWARD: A lot of the people that would be dream collaborations for the next record, we are working with, so we can’t tell you.
