markm Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 The NY figures are stunning! The bitch rules the concert box office.
Guest QueenofPopfan4ever Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Wow that is a lot i am so glad that the tour is a huge success!
mr_boogiewoogie Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Here are the final totals for the North American leg of Madonna's Confessions Tour. Keep in mind that this is the gross total, not what Madonna herself gets paid. $ 7,686,380 LA (Forum) $ 7,257,750 Las Vegas $ 4,761,555 San Jose $ 2,804,583 LA (Staples) $ 3,749,800 Fresno $ 4,890,090 Phoenix $ 9,271,790 Chicago $ 5,670,150 Montréal $ 3,451,235 Hartford $16,507,855 New York OMG! $ 6,337,115 Boston $ 4,639,775 Philidelphia $ 3,246,100 Atlantic City $ 5,568,485 Miami $85,842,663 North American Total posted by torontophoenix So much for a no longer relevant artist! However, it has to be said that had her management chosen Washington and Atlanta instead of FresNO and Hartford, the North American tour gross would have been even higher and it would have surely gotten VERY close to 90,000,000 dollars. In fact both FresNO and Hartford had VERY disappointing and under-par revenues. In any case I believe that the final figure still is a record, isn't it?
mtzlplk Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Are the tour grosses (for each city) from her last two tours archived anywhere on this forum (or the old forum)? sift through here but i really don't think a thread like this was brought up before
Guest Beautiful Stranger Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 It's North America, as it includes Canada and that''s what PollStar tracks... I think Cher would have a higher NA total wither her last tour.

HolidayGuy Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 The North American leg of Cher's Never-Ending Farewell Tour grossed a heckuva lot, much more than what Madge's current tour grossed. Worldwide, though, Madge's may end up with more. Cher did some non-NA dates, but not nearly as many as she did in NA.

I think Cher's tour grossed 192.5 million or so in the US and approx. 250 million worldwide. Madge could maybe top her worldwide total if they added those Moscow dates.
HolidayGuy Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I believe Billboard's figures were $192m, so that would be worldwide.
Guest jamesshot Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Bitch would have racked in the dough doing 2 nights in Dallas and Houston.
Guest Beautiful Stranger Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Cher made $192.5 milliom TOTAL, as in world wide.
Madfan58 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Bitch would have racked in the dough doing 2 nights in Dallas and Houston. VEGAS Ruled! MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nev. $7,005,548 28,341 / 2 $367 $79
Guest boytoyville Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I honestly don't think that the last leg of Cher's tour was reported to Billboards Boxscore because many sources say she made approx. 250 million total from the tour. I don't see why every Cher fan i have incountered would lie about that. I feel llke this issue has confused many people. I think someone should get to the bottom of it.
Ai Papi Si. Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I think someone should get to the bottom of it.
qaz Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Just remembere that Cher toured like 2 years non stop. On the other hand, Madonna just needed 2 and a half month to gross 85 millons
Ugly Hecty Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 The NYC numbers are phonomenal! She loves New York, but New York loves her twice as much!
HolidayGuy Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 This week's Billboad has the midyear touring info. As reported, Rolling Stones have grossed $147.371m from 45 shows. No2 is U2, with $73.087m (from 28 shows). This info reflects boxscores from 11/1/05 to 5/16/06. The biggest boxscore of the year thus far is Luis Miguel, form 20 shows(!) in Mexico- a gross of $19.286m. Miguel's top ticket price- in U.S. dollars- was roughly $170. Billy Joel follows, with $19.216m (from 12 sellouts at Madison Square Garden).Joel's top ticket price was $89.50. As info, the Stones grossed $8.809m from 2 shows at the Tokyo Dome- 78,287 attendance, 86,898 capacity.
Guest boytoyville Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I can't wait to see those numbers from Cardiff and Rome come in!
mtzlplk Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 As info, the Stones grossed $8.809m from 2 shows at the Tokyo Dome- 78,287 attendance, 86,898 capacity. and what is their ticket price? in $US please
HolidayGuy Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 The Stones' top ticket was $350, $55 for lowest (per Billboard). For U.S stops, it looks like $450 was the top price!

mtzlplk Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 --link-- look at the Rolling Stones dates... there is no way in hell that MADONNA's Confessions Tour will be the TOP GROSSER!
Raider of the lost Ark Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 --link-- look at the Rolling Stones dates... there is no way in hell that MADONNA's Confessions Tour will be the TOP GROSSER! They have no life, haven´t they.
Guest jamesshot Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Lets hope she has the highest gross per concert at least.
HolidayGuy Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 mtzl, dear, it already was well-known that the Stones would have the year's top-grossing tour, once those stadium dates were announced.
