promise to try Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Anyone know the reason for HC's sudden jump? Has it been reduced in price? isn´t the airplay for Give it 2 me in the radios quite good? maybe that´s why it´s going up
funkydita Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I like you. Keep posting x That's a very nice thing to say, thank you. Today's update: GI2M - 17 4M - 20 HC - 14
Queen Bitch Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 LK Today showed a short clip of the Making of G12M followed by a very pro-Madonna discussion - not sure if it's on youtube yet. The single seems to have stalled but hopefully the bonafide digital release along with the physical will push it into the top 10 - they should then advertise the album on TV.
aeroco Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 That's a very nice thing to say, thank you. Today's update: GI2M - 17 4M - 20 HC - 14 Come on HC - top ten will be brill. Surprised GITM has stalled. It will easily go top 5 next week though.
Guest Hafo Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Latest info on the YTD Singles Chart, from Haven: 1 1 Duffy Mercy 457855 2 2 Nickelback Rockstar 406545 3 3 Basshunter feat DJ Mental Now you're gone 398700 4 4 Estelle feat Kanye West American boy 382230 5 5 Madonna 4 minutes 371020 6 7 Sam Sparro Black and gold 316045 7 6 Flo Rida feat T Pain Low 311790 8 8 Rihanna Don’t stop the music 266205 9 9 Adele Chasing pavements 264195 10 10 H Two O feat Platnum What's it gonna be? 240510 So it's just 11K behind Estelle!
paradise Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 unfortunately the estelle track continues to sell at a similar rate as 4 minutes! although i guess 4 mins may sell more when 'get smart' comes out in august? who knows?
fak Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 has nt the estelle gone up this week in the uk? i thin there is a danger that 4min might drop below estelle. when gi2m is released next week chances ae that 4 mins will also climb back up again - right? i think when an artist releases a new single the former one tends to climb back up again.......
Guest Hafo Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 This was the chart last week: 4 4 Estelle feat Kanye West American boy 377801 5 5 Madonna 4 minutes 362270 So the difference has been reduced from 15K to 11K. American Boy is still selling decently, it's going to be a close one. Most probably both should sell more than Basshunter and maybe Rockstar. Not sure if there's any song at this stage that could jump over them though ... Sam Sparro is having a "second air" and is still Top 15 in the midweeks, but it's 50K behind. Dizzee and Ne-Yo might be contenders but currently are far away, so far away...
Apples388 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 OMG YAY *excite* So the divorce/affair thing is helping her sales after all! I know it won't happen but I really really want the album to be back in the top 10 when "Give it 2 Me" goes physical
Queen Bitch Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I know it won't happen but I really really want the album to be back in the top 10 when "Give it 2 Me" goes physical If Warners don't run an TV ad campaign the week after next then they really have abandoned it.

aeroco Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 If Warners don't run an TV ad campaign the week after next then they really have abandoned it. I saw a cheap budget looking ad for Hard Candy this morning on a hits channel in the gym. Should help push the album into the top ten. Still lovin' GITM. Not keen on the rest of the album though. I really liked Miles Away, Heartbeat and SNM, but they bore me now. Still like TBGO.

promise to try Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Come on HC - top ten will be brill. Surprised GITM has stalled. . well, after all it´s only the album version that it´s selling, I mean, no remixes, no single edit...let´s wait until next week. And HC is up to number 13!! I´m sure it´s going to be in the top ten again, maybe not next week, but the week after that
Guest Nichu94 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Friday update HC #13 (5,686 +8.2%) GI2M # 17 (5,728 +6.4%) 4M # 21 (4, 780 -16%) Thank you SO much!! Very interesting I can't find 4M HC and GIV2M sales of the last 3 weeks... do you have that figures?
Guest SuperPop Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Thank you SO much!! Very interesting I can't find 4M HC and GIV2M sales of the last 3 weeks... do you have that figures? 4M's sales (371020) you can find them in the year end chart which was posted a few posts before
BullaBarbie Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I think that many casual M fans buy the album once they hear it has some dance Madonna (GI2M) in addition to Justin duet. GI2M -> smart move. If she releases a ballad next, it will apeal another new people..
paradise Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 yay! my cd single came through the post this morning...i love coming home from work to find nice mail! the album's doing really well on itunes, hope it can climb to the top 10 next week
Guest Danny86 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I think that many casual M fans buy the album once they hear it has some dance Madonna (GI2M) in addition to Justin duet. GI2M -> smart move. If she releases a ballad next, it will apeal another new people.. Exactly. I don't care what track she's gonna release in the US next, in the UK it has to be either "Miles Away" or "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You". A 3rd dance track would kill it like "Get Together" did.
paradise Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 despite being a little bit bored of 'miles away' already, i think it would make a great single here in the u.k. the old school fans would really love it and it would do really well on the radio. i'm not so interested in 'the beat goes on' give it 2 the yanks hehehe i think 'devil' will do well on both sides of the atlantic too..but it deserves a fucking good video!! i wish it was like the erotica era with 6 singles and some kick ass videos too
DIRTY PIG Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Miles Away will work perfectly as the next single in the UK.
Guest Danny86 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 According to the chart experts at Haven, Top 5 looks unlikely for "Give It 2 Me". We're looking out for a similar peak to "Get Together"...
paradise Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 yay! 4 minutes is still in the top twenty (at no.20) after 17 weeks!
MadCrazy Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I hope GI2M hits top 5 at least with the physical release next week. It's already made a good impact on the album sales.
paradise Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 it's only gone up one place today..i think it'll peak at number 6. i bought the mixes on itunes today, they're quite good
Guest leomaddy Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Hi everybody, I'm new... Btw, Hard Candy at 14 this week in the UK!
