Guest Danny86 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 "Give It 2 Me" is THIS close to be Top 20! Hard Candy fell 5 positions from Sunday though...
Guest Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 (edited) Give it 2 me should be a big radio hit in UK to save Hard Candy. I mean like 6-8 weeks at #1 (as Hung Up, Sorry) Edited July 2, 2008 by george harrison
Guest Hafo Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 More info, courtesy of Haven (as usual): Her album is so close to the top 20. 4 Mins still top 20, and GI2M top end of the top 25. So I reckon HC #21, 4M #18, GI2M #21. Or else
Guest Danny86 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I read that HC is actually at #25. Yesterday they did say on Haven that it was falling fast, and today they didn't list it among the climbers...
Guest AntiVirgin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Why english gays are not buying Hard Candy? they rather save and spend $150 on the tour

Guest Hafo Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 4 Minutes will replace American Pie and Music in about a month, I reckon...
Braby Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Have you heard GITM on UK radio and if so what version do they play? I hear it a lot on the urban station Galaxy but they always play the album edit, and occasionally cut during the final chorus. Is anyone playing the radio edit?
Queen Bitch Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 4 Minutes will replace American Pie and Music in about a month, I reckon... Which is INCREDIBLE, all things considered.
paradise Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 i think the album is only falling because of the glastonbury effect of bands who played at the weekend

markm Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 I have yet to see the video on one of the music channels. 4 Minutes was on every hour.
jonski43 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Radio 1 have been playing GI2M a lot for three weeks. However, I think 4minutes is also being bought by the trousersnake fans. It's 50/50 vocal split. They will buy the single and not the album. It will be interesting to see how high GI2M goes in the UK singles charts. It's one of the strongest songs on the album Also, releasing an album now is not great as it is a slow period. The Christmas build up is always much better. I think she hopes the tour will kick start it. I think this is wrong. Jump peaked at No9 after the Confessions Tour. She left Warners and joined Live Nation as the money is not in albums so how many units you shift is no longer so important. It's all about the live show.
paradise Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 i hope the digital single and the mixes are available soon! do they put them out on a monday or will it just be any day soon?
Carta Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 The best strategy is to release the remixes, single edit and the physical singles on the same day for maximum impact.
Queen Bitch Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I have yet to see the video on one of the music channels. 4 Minutes was on every hour. It's getting very limited spins on the box - I've yet to see it on flaunt.
Guest Hafo Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Gi2M now on track to become another Madonna Top 20! And also to have two songs in the Top 20 Friday Midweeks Singles 1 Dizzee Rascal 2 Ne-Yo 3 Basshunter 4 Jordin Sparks 5 Coldplay Top 10 Ironik Top 15 Ting Tings Top 20 MGMT Madonna - GI2M -- looks like it's either #18 or #19 Top 30 Estelle - American Boy Fall Out Boy Freemasons Estelle - No Substitute Love Top 40 Jay-Z - 99 Problems Maroon 5 Jay-z - Numb/Encore Albums 1 Coldplay 2 Duffy 3 Neil Diamond 4 Chris Brown 5 Darren Styles Top 10 Ting Tings Amy Winehouse - Back To Black - Deluxe Seth Lakeman My Chemical Romance Neil Diamond - Best Of Top 15 Rihanna Subways Vampire Weekend Top 20 Eddy Grant MGMT Nickelback Elbow Top 30 Dirty Pretty Things Top 40 Estelle Kings Of Leon - Because Of The Times G Unit Aerosmith Wombats --- No info at the moment about HC...
Queen Bitch Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Gi2M now on track to become another Madonna Top 20! And also to have two songs in the Top 20 Is this the first time since 1985?
Guest Hafo Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I may be mistaken, but apparently on week 9 of 2006 Sorry was #1 and Hung Up was #20. Will need confirmation though.
Nightshade Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I may be mistaken, but apparently on week 9 of 2006 Sorry was #1 and Hung Up was #20. Will need confirmation though. Nope, you're right.
Queen Bitch Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I had an inkling about S/HU. I wonder if Warners saturate the market after she's gone by making key singles available as downloads - if they did it in the same week she could do a first by having an 'all Madonna' top 20.
Guest kangarooz Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Give it 2 me is 19, 4 mins is 17 and HC is 26 x
aeroco Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 It's getting very limited spins on the box - I've yet to see it on flaunt. NOBODY is interested in seeing her flaunt her box.
aeroco Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I may be mistaken, but apparently on week 9 of 2006 Sorry was #1 and Hung Up was #20. Will need confirmation though. Oh Father and You'll See almost did the double too. YS was at 21 when OH entered at 16.
aeroco Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Madonna definitely has two singles in the UK top 20. The top 20 are being introduced now but neither song has yet to feature and they are currently playing number 20. Also....
