Guest hotstickyandsweet
if z100 and other stations play "give it 2 me" a few times during the day, people will start requesting the song. its that simple. deejays can't say listeners are not requesting enough. outside of madonna's fan base, nobody knows the song. how can people request a song if they have never heard it before. "give it 2 me" is a hit song. even if it doesn't literally become a "hit" song. its radio's loss if they don't play this song. You could not have said it any better! afrolito
you think so? I was really being sarcastic, but in all honesty, I think this divorce speculation/confirmation could help radio support. It's a great song on it's own, and it's not like they would be giving pity spins of something as dire as spanish lesson.

Nightshade
I had a feeling this song would be the "Hollywood" of this record. High hopes and no delivery. In my opinion it's not really catching on in Europe as fast as we hoped either.

Etips
I still have no idea what the motivation behind releasing GI2M as an official single was (aside from maybe using this uber pop song to pacifiy those put-off Madonna fans who’re mad at her for her becoming a ‘thug’ with 4M.) I mean the song is already on the album, so anyone who buys it will hear it…and if she wants to add it to her tour set list, then whatever…but to serve the song up commercially was a mistake from the word go. Radio wasn’t going to play it. The second single should have been either Beat or Devil. Such obvious choices, I can’t understand why it flew over their heads. History has shown us that all it takes is one flop single to kill a Madonna album. They should cancel all promotion of GI2M, and rush release BGO while its still early. iasonas
The song is doing really good!!! More than 15 days before the release in Europe and it's no8 on the european airplay and 4 Minutes is no2! This is not the official one but it's similar! And it's based on more stations than the BDS chart! Just for the record, 2 weeks ago Give It To Me was at no80! http://charly1300.site.voila.fr/nouveauclassement.htm

GI2M will easily do better internationally than BGO would. GI2M has already done better in the US on the charts than Sorry did....and as for radio - It is still VERY early. Ciccone's Cheeks
it is still too early to tell. song isnt taking off as rapidly as most of our impatient asses want, but it's not DOA either. My gut feeling, even much as I love the song and feel its bona fide shoulda been a smash hit M song, this wont get the love it deserves. It certainly wont come close to touching 4M airplay. Reason being, the "sound/ vibe" of the song just isnt what American radio plays anymore, in the mainstream. Bland, hip hop is it, still. Many here agree that genre is shit, but it just wont die lol. BGO, clearly fits better into that category (not that its a shit song, but is way more mid tempo, flat etc..) and radio friendly.
