Queen Bitch Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 She was 900 behind yesterday and she's 400 ahead today; she needs to increase her lead considerably by tomorrow's midweeks for it to hit be officially number 1 on Sunday. *starts OFFICIAL Adele HATRED CAMPAIGN*
debord Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 At any rate it's pretty much guaranteed a top 2 position this week, which makes the 'It'll peak at 3' prediction wrong

Hopefully Madonna won't loose sales at the weekend. Didn't that happen with American Life? She was no 1 in the midweeks and then lost sales at the weekend?
Queen Bitch Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Indeed, due to the other song being used for a commercial and also being popular in the clubs - it overtook her at the last minute by around 500. I'm really beginning to TIRE of that Estelle song now.

She was no 1 in the midweeks and then lost sales at the weekend? American Life pretty much only sold to Madonna's fanbase so its sales peaked at the start of the week then declined. That's clearly not happening with '4 Minutes'.
Queen Bitch Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm no fan of AL but I think it would have JUST CLINCHED the top spot had the video been in rotation - they didn't even release the APPALLING flags version until the end of the week of release.
aeroco Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Tomorrow's midweeks will be interesting - if her gap widens then it's pretty much in the bag as she's closed the gap in 3 days. If not then we won't really know til Sunday! I think she will outperform Estelle this week now even if the effect of the remixes wear off (which I doubt)

Apples388 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Now just where is that slice of humble pie for Queen Bitch? So much for "4 Minutes" being a UK flop. It hasn't even peaked yet.
Apples388 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Warner missed a golden opportunity by not releasing the remixes this week in the UK as they did in the US. It would have been a surefire number 1 here and we wouldn't have had this nail biting close midweek fight thing which I'm worried about.. But fear not, gays, even if she's overtaken by the end of the week and she ends up at Number 2 - we still have next week. Still if you haven't bought it yet PLEASE buy it off iTUNES NOW and support your Queen
