how good or "bad" lol is it looking for either Kylie or the Spice Girls to hit #1 (next week)??? Is that when their physical singles both come out?

Kylie physical is released this Monday (12th)

Spice physical is released next Monday (19th)

I dont think Kylie stands any chance of reaching no1...

Spices are doing their first performance on Children In Need next Friday, which I imagine must be their first performance on British tv in years. So that'll be quite a big deal, and they should defo go to number one the next week on the strength of it being the CIN single.

Kylie is not going to be number one. I think that's pretty obvious now.

Apparently, Kylie is now at 14 and the Spice Girls at 20.

THIS IS WEIRD.

not THAT weird.

kylie risked with a left field pop song that alienated a lot of her casual fans. still, she's a consistent hit maker, and i suspect the single can cimb as high as number 2 when the loons-me included-rush out to buy it next week.

on the other hand, the spices made a HUGE mistake by replicating a ballad formula that sounds unbelievably DATED these days. they tried to play it safe, yet the whole plot seems to be backfiring big time. i wouldn't be surprised if they even failed to get the number one spot when physicals get released.

in Midweeks or in ITunes?...if these are the positions in midweeks , they totally make sense considering the position of the songs in ITunes...

Kylie not having a number one with 2 Hearts is simply a FLOP with capital letters. It there was a time that she was going to be number one for sure was wit this come back.

Of course, i like 2 Hearts, but if she had released In My Arms things would have been quite different.

fbuddy, a Kylie loon? Get OUTTA here. :gent:

Come on now, tho- it's not like she went heavy metal or "Bedtime Story" on her audience. :) It's the usual light fare, and it's still pop.

HEHE served! :gent:2 Hearts will get a Top Ten on downloads alone, pretty respectable, but not for Kylie standars I guess, possible Top 3 with the CD.

In more interesting news :vanitybonet: Gimme More may spend another week on the Top Ten so Blackout.

What about Annie Lennox? Is she releasing any more singles from her latest album.

Her solocareer after "MEDUSA" seems fragile. Pointless Eurythmics reunions that nobody really cared about diddn´t help much either. :|

Well now I'm starting to think if X will be a bigger hit than 2 Hearts. Could Kylie finally become an albums artist? (commercially speaking)

She was in the same position afther Fever, and she also failed with Slow (wow, I´m not sure now, was it number 1?)

anyway, I don´t considere a number 2 a flop for kylie, especially if there are some other songs who can go to number 1 on the album!

make that double platinum. i wouldn't be surprised if the album gets to stick in the top 20 till the new year.
