CCPvirus ... makes sense, and all the lies China regime has spouted about its death toll. When this epic fuck up is over for good, China should be seriously held accountable and so should the W.H.O.:

Looking back through the first thread, including at the replies to my own comments, a few members here were extremely aggressive and downright awful towards anyone taking this seriously and were just as dismissive of the virus as Trump was/is. One in particular kept saying the standard "the flu is more deadly!" line, even though COVID-19 has a mortality rate over 30x higher. Now those members haven't commented at all in a few weeks, or simply changed their tune as if we wouldn't notice. Funny how that works.
well said.

My thoughts exactly.Â
I was hoping he would enforce a full blown lockdown, but all he did was repeat more of the same - only in simpler terms for the brainless idiots who keep going about their business in ignorance. Allowing people to go for leisurely walks and a jog is a joke in itself when many will use that as an excuse to roam around for hours without being questioned. Those who genuinely need to exercise can do it in their homes without putting themselves (and others) at risk - which is something i've already been doing for weeks. I don't even take my dog for walks anymore and that's how it will stay until the numbers start slowing down, but it certainly won't be happening within the timeframe Boris thinks. He's in for a rude awakening if he thinks the numbers of contractions will be smaller in 3 weeks time... I mean it's not even 24 hours after his announcement and look....
Tubes, trains and buses are STILL rammed on day one of Britain's shutdown...

I know. Have not been out for a week myself, wish it was sooner frankly but I had to go to work. Until a vaccine is tried, tested, manufactured and distributed (guess who the lucky first will be), the epidemic will not dissipate on its own or because some demented politician from either side of the pond sets unrealistic time frames. Every affected country should be on full enforced lockdown, otherwise more lives will be lost until a real vaccine is found.Â

"Weeks..." pfft, stupid Boris. What planet does he live on?
He hasn't learned fuck all from China, Italy, Spain. Measures should be MUCH stricter. The UK should be in full lockdown, precisely because the NHS cannot bloody cope with this outbreak considering the limited amount of beds available and appropriate medical equipment it currently has to provide assistance for those who require it. There should be no bloody leisure walks or jogging, ffs, allowing that people will take it as an invite to go out more than they should and they shouldn't for quite some time. It will not solve itself in a matter of "weeks" as he foolishly put.
Why was this incoherent diddling muppet even allowed to enter into politics in the first place? I bet he is gonna change his tune in less than 72 hr when numbers will go higher in the UK... always too little too late, lazy sod.
Anyway, Bobo Muppet aside...

Wishing every single one of you to be safe and in good health, and keep safe, healthy in every sense, physical and mental - fully aware of how anxiety can take over with worry for loved ones, worry for oneself, fear, panic...
@ULIZOS I wish you well, take care and don't panic, you may not have it - take plenty of fluids, warm food and paracetamol as others have rightly suggested already. Take care and be safe.
@Andra I understand you very well, we don't speak much but I totally feel you - hope the light at the end of the tunnel will come very soon in Italy, my beloved Italy, for all of you. Wish you well.
@karbatal wish you well, hope the situation will soon slow down in Spain as well - be safe, stay safe.
@XXLÂ every time I read Il Corriere della Sera I think of you and my friends there, hopefully there is hope of a ray of light at the end of the day - wish you well man, take care and stay safe
@Kelmadfan stay safe, we will make it through
Â
As for me I take it one day at the time, had very sad days last week, this week starting with not watching any news, no media, nothing in the morning. It helps, especially since I got to focus on work, as I work remotely from home now, I am very busy and will continue to be very busy for a long while so that occupies my mind for a good chunk of the week.
Â
Hope @Jazzy Jan @Butter9 you are both well, please be safe and stay safe - take care

Felt very very horribly sad, incredibly sad, cried several times. The whole situation is overwhelming. Some day I can handle it, others I just find it too much.Â
Have not been going out at all since early in the week.
I think about my dear beloved ones in Italy, I think about all of the people who are dying alone in Italy once they are in ICU because they cannot possibly have any external contact with them for obvious reasons......... and also cannot help but thinking about those assholes who boast about panic-buying/over-buying and just feeling "a little bit guilty" about that (my ass) when there are doctors, nurses, elderly, invalids, who find themselves at supermarkets with completely empty shelves thanks to selfish bastards hoarding assholes, like my despicable selfish coworkers, whom have no-one close to them directly affected yet (unlike me) hence at the moment their little brain is unable to grasp the gravity of the situation. Until it will hit them in the face.
Speaking of that, I think about how the situation is about to unfold in the UK... I am scared.
It appears that the virus is now mutating into a more aggressive form, hence a slight raise in cases affecting younger individuals, in addition to what apparently has been reported that another symptom is loss of sense of smell and taste.
Wishing every single one of you all good health, to be safe, to stay safe, and see the light at the end of this pandemic shit.

Someone somewhere is benefiting from all of this shit affecting us all in every possible terms, health, economics, etc.

If only the whole epidemic had been taken as seriously as it should have been right from the beginning, down the line from Wuhan and the dictatorial China government to the corrupted useless World Health Organisation, from mass media misinformation to certain arrogant right-wing governments, and down to the public opinion and that of equally arrogant complacent naysayers (plenty initially on this thread).
The UK for instance, not shutting down every single activity, everything really starting from schools WEEKS ago. Only now slightly beginning to realize maybe, only maybe the epic fuck up they have made... without ever admitting wrongdoing obviously. No, instead they decide to procure LOANS for businesses, because that's what really matters to these murdering tory bastards: MONEY!
Very basically put, when the Etonian rich & wealthy will no longer be able to squeeze out from the poor because the poor are either sick or dead, who are the rich & wealthy going to be exploiting in order to generate their beloved money for them?Â
Money first here. Always. Meanwhile schools are not closed - should have been the first to think about. The London mayor, a pathetic excuse for a human being, had the 'brilliant' idea of now reducing tube/subway/metro services down to weekend levels, thus less and less trains during a day cycle. Which means that those who still have to go to work commuting by public transports, are likely to find themselves travelling on busy carriages, due to less trains in circulation therefore further increasing exposure this way.
The UK is not equipped to handle the situation, which is why this government is waffling about everything.
They are saying now they are going to do "whatever it takes" and going to introduce tough legislation to stop the spread and getting people to isolate. Too little too late.
Remains the crucial fact that the healthcare system is not equipped to handle the sheer amount of sick people Boris does not care about to provide assistance for, and that will unfortunately increase to an alarming rate.
So eager to leave the EU block, now if any country within the block gets to finally come up with a vaccine that works against this virus, the UK will be the last one to receive it... if will ever be distributed in the UK.
We are all disposable garbage to the UK elite in power.

Drug identified to treat COVID-19: Chinese-Italian joint venture

Coronavirus: Arthritis drug seems to work
(ANSA) - Rome, March 11 - A commonly used arthritis drug has shown "excellent results" in two coronavirus patients and a national protocol for its extensive use against the virus should be drawn up, oncologist Paolo Ascierto of Naples' Pascale Hospital said Wednesday. The drug, tocilizumab, "has shown it is effective against pneumonia caused by COVID-29," he said. One of the two patients will be taken off life support Thursday because of the improvement in his condition, Ascierto said.
He called for a "national protocol to immediately extend the use of tocilizumab in an emergency that has killed 631 people and infected over 10,000 in Italy".
Ascierto said the hospital had started treating two other patients with the virus on Tuesday and will begin treating another two Wednesday. -
Coronavirus: Dr Christian Jessen says Italians are using pandemic as an excuse for âlong siestaâ
Jessen said the illness is âlike a bad cold really, letâs be honest
Â
ÂEmbarrassing Bodies star Dr Christian Jessen has said Italian people are using the coronavirus outbreak as an excuse to have a âlong siestaâ, while acknowledging his comments are âa little bit racistâ.
The death toll from Italyâs coronavirus outbreak passed 1,000 on Thursday (12 March). The entire country remains paralysed, with non-essential shops and businesses closed, and yesterday, Romeâs Catholic churches were ordered to close due to the pandemic â a move believed to be unprecedented in modern times.
ÂDuring an interview on FUBAR Radioâs Access All Areas about the outbreak, Jessen said: âThis might be a little bit racist to say this, [and] youâll have to make apologies, but do you not think itâs a bit of an excuse?
âThe Italians, any old excuse to, you know, shut down everything and stop work for a bit and have a long siesta.â
When asked whether he agreed with Boris Johnsonâs decisions to delay closing schools, Jessen said: âI do agree with him actually. I think itâs an epidemic lived out more in the press than in reality.
âI mean if you think about flu right, without getting too heavy, flu kills thousands every single year.â
When told by host Stephen Leng that 10 people have now died in the UK from coronavirus, Jessen added:Â âNow I know thatâs tragic for those involved but itâs not exactly huge numbers is it compared to flu, which is thousands.
âIt doesnât affect mothers, it doesnât affect pregnant women, it doesnât affect children so far as we know. So why this massive panic?
ÂâThis is like a bad cold really, letâs be honest.â
When asked if the press were scare mongering, he answered:Â âTotally. Totally. I think itâs a Daily Mail epidemic. I donât think itâs a â itâs a real epidemic. Well, itâs obviously a real epidemic, but I think we are more worried than we need to be.
âNow I might have to eat my words and I really hope I donât!â

Homophobic rabbi claims coronavirus outbreak is Godâs divine punishment for Pride parades
A conservative rabbi from Israel has claimed that that the current outbreak of coronavirus, or Covid19, is happening because of Pride parades.
In a bizarre rant on Saturday at the Kiseh Rahamim yeshiva in Bnei Brak, Rabbi Meir Mazuz hit out at LGBT+ people and blamed them for the spread of the virus, the Israel Hayom reports.
Speaking at the event, Mazuz said a pride parade is âa parade against natureâ, and added: âWhen someone goes against nature, the one who created nature takes revenge on him.â
Rabbi Meir Mazuz said Arab countries will be spared from the coronavirus because they âdonât have this evil inclinationâ.
Incredibly, the rabbi then tried to claim that Arab countries are being spared from the coronavirus because they âdonât have this evil inclination.â
Furthermore, he blamed the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran â where almost 200 people have died from the virus â on âtheir hatred of Israel.â
The rabbi, who is the former leader of the homophobic Yachad party, also said Israel would be protected from the coronavirus. He clearly hasnât been keeping track of the spread of the virus â almost 40 people have already contracted Covid19 in Israel.
It is regrettable that in times like these when the whole world comes together to eradicate coronavirus, Rabbi Mazuz finds it appropriate to blame the virusâs outbreak on the LGBTQ community.
The rabbi has been sharply criticised by LGBT+ groups and human rights organisations, including the Anti-Defamation League.
âIt is regrettable that in times like these when the whole world comes together to eradicate coronavirus, Rabbi Mazuz finds it appropriate to blame the virusâs outbreak on the LGBTQ community,â a representative from the Israeli branch of the Anti-Defamation League said.
An American pastor has also pinned the spread of Covid19 on LGBT+ people.
Amazingly, Mazuz is not even the first religious person to pin the spread of coronavirus on the LGBT+ community. Right-wing pastor Steven Andrew of the California-based USA Christian Church has declared March to be âRepent of LGBT Sin Monthâ â a move he genuinely believes will âsave lives and the nation, and protect from coronavirusâ.
More than 3,600 people have died globally from the Wuhan coronavirus, but Andrew insisted that people would be saved if they obey God.
âGodâs love shows it is urgent to repent, because the * teaches homosexuals lose their souls and God destroys LGBT societies,â Andrew said in a press release this week.
âObeying God protects the USA from diseases, such as the coronavirus,â he insisted.

some people are way above that obviously, their opinion is higher and almighty more important of course, nevermind that there are people dying of this virus and the dead are increasing, nevermind that some people are worried scared about their dying parents and there is nothing they can do. Selfish complacency by snotty arrogant people.
