whitehat
I just heard on German news that the attacker was a 17 years old Afghan, presumably a refugee. No confirmation yet.
Love Spent
I don't know how a sole attacker could have injured so many. Was everyone just looking for Pokeman, oblivious to what was happening?!
jonski43
Apparently not so many injured. 3 seriously, 1 mildly and fourteen treated for shock so not as bad as first thought. Still horrible and sad though

karbatal
At this path we are all being anti refugees in less than a year. All these horrid news will bring a lot of harm to European openness.
karbatal
Truth is that with two million refugees very very very few things have really happened and it shows that they are good people escaping from war or extreme poverty. But these news are going to the very brain of citizens and will have a big effect.
beta_test
It was confirmed that Germany took in 2 Million refugees last year. And that is just the official numbers. The government/media ALWAYS gives out lower numbers. In 2 years they will say, opps, 5 million have been taken in. in fact the minister of interior put out higher numbers first and had to correct them to a lower values, since some people didn't understand the German system and registered in several places, and the media doesn't always lie or omit thing. What we definitely know though is how much our beautiful new right wing party blalantly lies and scews thing - and later tell oh we didn't mean it that way - bad bad media. Love Spent
ISIS releases video made by Afghan axeman, 17, in which he says his horror attack on German train that injured 19 was in revenge for Western airstrikes ISIS have claimed the teenage attacker was an 'Islamic State fighter' They released video of attacker claiming he was was Muhammad Riyad http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3696410/Man-attacks-21-people-AXE-train-Germany-shot-police.html http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36827725 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIDbZmGQWRg Nach der brutalen Attacke eines 17-jährigen Afghanen auf Zugreisende in Bayern prüfen die Ermittler, ob es einen islamistischen Hintergrund gibt.

Gaudet
The fact that "only" 20 people were injured - some of which really bad - does not diminish the brutality perpetrated by these fucking brainwashed cowards against unarmed civilians. Very easy to target those who cannot defend themselves, so courageous. Every time I commute on my morning train I am scared now.

karbatal
Yes, I mean it's not as if it happened every day. A lightning may strike too.
Guest
To be fair many more people have been killed by a terrorist this year than a lightning strike. Also that's a freak accident in nature rather than being targeted simply for being yourself.
billiejean
What are you scared of? When did you become scared? These are intelligent questions that need to be asked. Maybe fear is present because people started blowing themselves up and shooting people both on public transportation and at random good time venues. Hot spot tourist visiting cities are now on high alert. The act of a terrorist attack is not really comparable to natural disasters or even accidents. These are murderers out there willing to kill themselves and others for their ideology. It's tragic all around for humanity.
karbatal
Well of course it depends if you live in Iraq or Syria but the odds of dying in a terrorist attack are really odd. According to this list is far more easy that you die while taking a shower or from a lightning strike indeed. Of course it's impossible to know the real odds but let's be realistic. I've been involved in two attacks: the London one and that crazy gunman in Oslo. In London I was about to take a bus to the City in Russell Square and in Oslo the first bomb was right next to my hotel. And which were the odds???? Others in the same trip maybe stumbled and hit their heads and died. You never know so it's absurd to feel irrational fear. https://www.techjuice.pk/a-data-scientist-explains-odds-of-dying-in-a-terrorist-attack/ The thing is that irrational fear sooner or later translates into irrational decisions
