I wish Madonna would stop begging for whatever for lesser acts. This brings me bad Kylie Minogue memories...

I think that is for the tour or maybe she planned a promo tour and it was for that !

to make an investment of personal money, there must be a return on investment, which will not be the case. Apart from Brazil, the song will not be anywhere on the charts like all the other singles of this decade.

Anyway, anyone would be in bad faith to complain about video this era because we had 5 for the first time in 20 years.

Anitta gave an interview last night saying she has no idea about a video. She said Madonna didn't contact her.

This video?

What would be the point in making videos for songs that have no change to breakthrough and gather serious YouTube views or radio plays?  Her label is only planning to spend so much on push to radio, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Faz Gostoso is the only song that has a chance to have a big YouTube run if executed correctly of course with daytime Brazil location shots, focus on Brazil people and music, universal teams so it's appealing to everyone as the song does... of course needs to be colorful and full of life. But, up to her how she wants to spend her money. If it has a big run, it will also draw attention to all videos release to date and other songs on the album.

Crave still has a chance to continue its ascendance up the charts in US and sell in US, she just needs to do one or two live performances on entertainment shows to focus attention on it.  Hopefully not dressed in funeral attire again.

Why do you think hitting the charts is the only return of investment? Not in this day and age it is not!

At the moment, there is no plan for a tour in Brazil, so there is no way to make the investment of a targeted video for this market profitable.

she should just keep releasing videos for this era. the songs are awesome.

I agree. It looks like the album won't make any bigger impact than the #1 it got in the US charts. It's like she already knew it wouldn't be very succesful so she started to film as many videos as possible between January and May. It will be great if she finds the time between rehearsals to shoot one for Faz Gostoso but I don't think it's a priority either. She already signed a contract to start a tour in September and tickets seem to be 70-85% sold out. It feels like the promo is done anyway.

You would think a little bit of subtle product placement would cover a measly 300 grand for a video if she doesn’t want to pay for it herself. She can be really cheap sometimes, it’s frustrating. If they are worried about return of investment wouldn’t the sales of the song on iTunes and streaming bring in at least 300 grand at a minimum?

Beyoncé has no hits and she keeps on making high-budget videos. Music videos are not just for hits anymore. They help to build the image of an artist and create this legend-like status. Furthermore, youtube pay the artists for the views. It's not groundbreaking money but it's money. The hundred millions views videos give them a good money, you can be sure.

Thank you. Some of you still have this 1989 mentality and it's grating tbh. Get with the times.

David Bowie's videos for The Next Day and Blackstar albums are also good examples. It's psrt of the artists' DNA. 👏🏻

How are you so sure that she won't tour there? 👀

Because I do not live in a fantasy world but in a reality based on facts and the facts are that, until further notice, no tour date is announced for South America.
