Skin
If it is true that the gunman was raging against foreigners before the attack, I just cant anymore. It seems like people in every country are totally losing their minds and as a society each area around the globe has a group of people that is hell bent on becoming more nationalist and less diverse. Scares the shit out of me. Like I have said before Madonna knew her shit when she was touring in 2012 and was motivated to make her short film. The first lines of it are so fucking prophetic and are more palpable then ever right now.

billiejean
I read on Twitter that the mention of foreigners was not the shooter moaning about foreigners but him saying he wasn't one? Like there was a back and forth, someone called him Turkish or something, and he said he was born here (Germany). It's all a big confusion at the moment, too many conflicting stories... Guest bluejean
It's horrifying. Can somebody tell me, has it EVER been this bad? Was the world this fucked up 2001-2004? Or is this worse? I'm starting to consider the whole NWO conspiracy theory because everything that's happening in the world seems way too calculated. And I really do fear Trump is going to become US president. It's very possible.
jacket
Fucking horrible President Trump will save us! His proposal to ban all muslims will seem less crazy if this stuff keeps happening regularly. If there is a terrorist attack in the US before the election, he will definitely win.

Love Spent
I disagree. ''Lauretta said she heard the gunman say, "Allahu Akbar," or "God is great" in Arabic. "I know this because I'm Muslim. Nonoka
Even though this will be treated as a terrorist incident it sounds more like a Columbine style loner who lost it. Yes it most likely was. So far there has been no confirmed evidence that points towards an Islamist terrorist attack. Doesn't make it any less horrible though. billiejean
You don't have to be registered with ISIS to be inspired by the ideology. His shouts of Allahu Akbar shouldn't be ignored as of yet. This interview stood out to me after the Nice attack, and it's pretty shocking how days later this Munich tragedy happens. I don’t use that term “Lone Wolf”, I use the phrase “Self Starter”, as people these days are inspired online and offline by all forms of networks; by relatives, by people they’ve been listening to on videos online, or by other attacks they’ve seen. They are certainly inspired by the Jihadist ideology. Whether they start the operation themselves, or are taking command directly from ISIS headquarters. We’ve looked into this, very, very few, if any, are “Lone Wolfs” in the literal sense of that word. Maajid Nawaz You can be a Muslim murderer without Jihadi influence, but at the present, to dust it off as simply maniacal tendencies without an ideology inspired motive so soon after the event would be pretty naive considering the world we live in. People do love to remove the ideology from these guys though, as soon as they're revealed to be Muslim or that they pledged to ISIS we hear how they ate pork and watched porn or were gay to try and remove the ideology as a motive. The ideology is a big part of the Islamic state, it's in the name. It's not wrong to point that out.

billiejean
I'm not using Fox News. I'm using Maajid who knows his stuff as he walked down this path of extremism himself. Well, he's not the basis of my thoughts about this subject, but he's an interesting voice worth listening to.

It's like those idiot rappers who say 'only God can judge me'. 'Allahu Akbar' isn't a terrorist cry. It's just an Arabic exclamation. He just sounds like a loner who wanted revenge and he did a copycat style killing.
Raider of the lost Ark
It becomes more and more clear that this was a shooting rampage not a terrorist act. The guy was a loner, was bullied at school, was in treatment for mental issues, police found evidence at his flat that he was interested in mass shootings, had newspaper articles, among them the ones dealing with Breivik. No evidence has been found so far that he was inspired by IS, neither has IS claimed responsibility for the shooting. Police is now trying to find out from where he obtained the gun. billiejean
From what is known so far Raider is right. It seems this guy seemed to have issues of his own, no ISIS influence/religious extremist views have been discovered, rather than Islamic extremism he had an interest in general mass shootings, and proclaimed he was bullied. The cries of ALLAHU AKBAR are not simply terrorist related no, it's a common phrase, but still, in this time and place in history if you see someone with a gun screaming ALLAHU AKBAR it's not wrong to presume motives. And in a time where sadly Islamic extremism is a global problem, the words shouted by attackers are an important thing to report, the woman who reported she heard him cry "Allahu Akbar" on CNN was Muslim herself afterall, and as it goes more Muslims are dying at the hands of these extremists ideologies. This is just an all round tragic case. Did he slip through mental health? Did his family or school not notice he had some kind of burning inside of him that would trigger this? It's early days, but the result is the same, senseless death. Maajid Nawaz did say that he thought a Jihadi shooting himself was strange, they usually don't do that. I guess they prefer to take people with them on suicide missions, aka self detonation.
