5iVe Elements Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Love this song. There's a certain sadness to the "i came i saw i conquered" part.
SkyHigh76 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I love this song more and more, each time I listen to it.
Butter9 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 This is my NEW favourite . And the rap by Nas is genius .
Profane Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Can't believe this didn't make the album! It shoulda replaced BIM or Iconic.
Flip The Switch Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Can't believe this didn't make the album! It shoulda replaced BIM or Iconic. only the clean version. "Iconic" is iconic. Sorry.
mlcr Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Love it. In my top 5. It has to be performed and soon.
Donuts Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I played this for almost an hour on the elliptical!Still not sick of it...I need a remix of it ASAP
Flip The Switch Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 M was born to make this wonderful spoken-type of song. Only M.
Phineaspoe Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Love this song. There's a certain sadness to the "i came i saw i conquered" part. Totally, that's when the song comes full circle for me. Such a roller coaster of a song. So original.
Shane Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I'm in tears. Some of us lived this with her! Why are more people not RAVING about this one?!?! When she does her song titles I just lost it. "The gay boys lost their mind." I'm a fucking mess!
Pablo94 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 When she does her song titles I just lost it. "The gay boys lost their mind." I'm a fucking mess! Probably my favourite lyric on the entire album, Then the added camera flash sound effects. Flawless However when the, what i like to call, the holiday horns kick in during Nas's rap, my LYFE is given.
ryan Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 One of her greatest songs Like ever I NEED to see this one live!!
Messiahxxx Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Oh lord this song is soo good!!! The lyrics, production, samples, Nas, the spoken-rap!!!!! Just flawless. Love how this song is both defiant and vulnerable (verses vs. chorus)
Flip The Switch Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 One of her greatest songs Like ever I NEED to see this one live!! Glad you're loving this masterpiece whoopie!
Shane Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I played this for a friend, and his first comment was "that renegade hook is amazing, she can write a hook."
Andra Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 the ooooooooo part is goosebump inducing. Yess!!!! I love it! The beautiful chorus really gets to me, it honestly makes me all emotional, these 2 parts in particular I was fearless like a renegade I had a feeling that I can't explain and .................................................. I was constant as a northern star I had a fire burning in my heart her voice.
Guest rocketman Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 This one is a grower for me. i'm loving the Holiday horns:)
Camacho Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 This gets me mad hyped dawgs! It's fucking brilliant and beyond! Great collab with these 2 legends. I hope she does a performance of this on TV with NAS!
Camacho Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Madonna: "I reference many things in pop culture, and I've written so many songs and had such a long career, that I end up referencing myself, too. If I can rip anybody off, I can rip myself off."
Butter9 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 This songs perfectly sums up her legacy. It's very reflective and beautiful .
Guest Rachelle of London Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 This song is just too much for words! It's perfection!
Jazzy Jan Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Love this song as well. Nas's rap is wonderful too. Such a contrast between both of their styles in this song that works brilliantly. I love all of her references to her past songs. It is like a gift for herself and all of us fans with the little trip down memory lane through fantastic song titles.
Guest Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 am i the only one who considers references to Burning up and Lucky Star?
boy skeffington Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 It's my fav now and definitely one of her best songs ever.
Crux Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I didn't like this song at first but I kinda like it now. The intro could be better though.
Guest Pud Whacker Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 That Nas is a huge waste of my time. She should have brought in Neneh Cherry to do a cool rap and made it all cool, hip and female. Other than that, I love every second.
