justinian
kind of related... Madonna Ages 31 Years In 64 Seconds (1983 — 2014): Watch The Stunning Viral Video Mike Wass Feb 5th, 2014 // 7 Comments An incredibly talented Madonna fan has morphed photos of the pop legend spanning 31 years in a stylish black-and-white video (above) — showcasing how she has largely managed to avoid the aging process. The striking visual, which has gone viral, begins in 1983 and ends with a recent pic from 2014. This is shaping up to be another banner year for Madonna. The 55-year-old made headlines by collaborating with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at the 2014 Grammy Awards and then proved she still has a nose for scandal by twerking with Miley Cyrus on the diva’s recent MTV Unplugged television special. With all this promo, new music can’t be too far away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iec74Ci4OJU Edited February 7, 2014 by justinian

Phineaspoe
Such a great track. I love it so much. And those first 2 hits: Everybody and Holiday, summ up what she has giving all these years: that music makes people stay together all over the world! So true. I've been running to Holiday RIT all week. It's amazing.
nick00
I actually remember hearing Holiday on the radio for the first time when I was a kid. I assumed M was African American because there was no video for the song! It's also interesting that Holiday never made the top ten in the US, Italy, and France when it was first released. It has been played so much on American radio for thirty years that people assume it was a US top ten track back in the eighties.

She did so few appearances early on that each one is amazing. I think this track must have been a crossover from the clubs though. I just don't remember it being played on the radio when it was first released and I listened to Radio 1 all the time. Once LAV became massive, they started playing it a lot so it recharted but before that I never heard it. It's not just an M classic, it is a genuine all round classic song from the last 100 years.
