HolidayGuy Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Why is Lenny Kravitz's name in all-caps in the back cover producer credits?
HolidayGuy Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 On Madonnnalicious, the following credit errors are noted, in addition to the LIB one: - William Orbit is credited for production on La Isla Bonita (along with Madonna and Patrick Leonard, strangely) and Die Another Day (instead of Mirwais). - On the songwriting credits for Dress You Up, 'Andrea LaRusso' has now become 'Andrew LaRusso'. - And in the songwriting credits for Celebration, 'Ciaran Gribbin' is now 'Ciarian Gribbin'. WB must have run out of $ to pay copy editors for the project.

Add to that the capitalised "LENNY KRAVITZ" on both the back cover production credits and inside linear notes. On WBR's part, just INEXCUSABLE for a career-spanning compilation from their biggest artist. They might as well just literally PISS on the rest of her back catalogue.
Brian John Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Add to that the capitalised "LENNY KRAVITZ" on both the back cover production credits and inside linear notes. I wonder if that's a contractual thing, demanded by Kravitz and/or his management.
Guest Coked Up Baby Boy Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The album is out here in Oz, saw it today.
loomer Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The album is out here in Oz, saw it today. Buy it, then.
Confessions92 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 How the hell did they make so many obvious errors? Warner Brothers
Guest Coked Up Baby Boy Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Buy it, then. Nah. I'll get the DVD, but not anytime soon.
loomer Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Nah. I'll get the DVD, but not anytime soon. Me too.
Guest maddyfan171 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Why didn't the album get the same release date world wide? I want my copy now, I don't want to wait until the 29th. Can you tell i'm impatient.
bliss Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The whole CD has been a joke from the beginning! WB really fucked this release up. I'm glad I'm spending my money on something else... The DVD is missing so many videos and it's barely worth getting.

bliss Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I have absolutely no clue what would that be... Let's just say that "something else" will be double the fun than that Celebration CD disaster.
HolidayGuy Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 Looking forward to both CD and DVD. If I want to see "Oh Father," "Bad Girl," "Drowned World" or "Nothing Really Matter," it won't be too much work to out in TIC and TVC DVDs.
ryan Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 i plan on posting HQ scans of the full artwork and shit when i get my hands on it when its released in the US
Dr Lecter Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 LOVELY full length advert just now during the X FACTOR on tv...great start to promo i think.... "THE BIGGEST SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME...MADONNA...CELEBRATION..OUT MONDAY"
loomer Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Haha, take that Mariah. I thought they should have put an advert on X Factor. Didn't know they also had it on on a Sunday.
Flip The Switch Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 i plan on posting HQ scans of the full artwork and shit when i get my hands on it when its released in the US Please do. I wonder why this didn't make it into the booklet, not the full lyrics, but looks awesome:
Narendra Sen Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I wonder why this didn't make it into the booklet, not the full lyrics, but looks awesome: It looks fucking amazing!!! I'd buy the album only for this!! :wow:
agclef Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Please do. I wonder why this didn't make it into the booklet, not the full lyrics, but looks awesome: WOW, lyric sheets...remember them? Techy, where'd this come from?
Brian John Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I miss the days when lyric sheets were the norm. I know others have no use for them, but I've always found them to be a major part of the album listening experience.
Supernatural Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 The lyrics are mixed into the album cover artwork aren't they?

I AGREE wholeheartedly - a lot is missing from the "album experience" nowadays, let's see how iTunes new "iTunes LP" handles this one, at least they are trying somewhat.
acko Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Looking forward to both CD and DVD. If I want to see "Oh Father," "Bad Girl," "Drowned World" or "Nothing Really Matter," it won't be too much work to out in TIC and TVC DVDs. I feel u. One would just have 2 open the DVD case, take out the disc placing it carefully between thumb & index finger & then insert it in one's DVD player. I'd say it isn't much of a chore at all.
loomer Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 As was said, presumably those downer videos were dropped and the ballads from the CD cause they were less of a celebration. Limits the album somewhat, but heigh ho.
acko Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 No, just sleep deprived..so lemme just bust a nut & then hit the sack y'all..
