Nessie Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 i must say my fave moment of the CT is whem she is rising on the cross. beggining of Live to Tell and of course the Music fever dance at the catwalk! sure the yoga-vogue pose is the greatest iconic moment of RIT and for SS i agree, the Vogue intro takes the cake. it really is super iconic! the CANDY intro whem she is at her throne is also a moment to remember.
Phantom Pain Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Was she wearing a shiny silver suit when she did the robot walk? Because I remember her walking like a bad ass S and M whore ready to make your ass feel PAIN and pleasure... the best CT moment for me is the opening , when the disco ball opens and she comes out of it just...
IsaacHarris Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 the best CT moment for me is the opening , when the disco ball opens and she comes out of it just... ^That was Pretty Cool. So Dramatic! My Top 3 (for now) #1 Sticky & Sweet Tour: "She's Not Me" - When she took off those red shorts! I WAS SCREAMING! THE WHOLE AUDIENCE JUST WAS LIKE "WTF?!" i loved that part, SNM was one of the highlights Live. #2 Girlie Show "Fever" looked so Sexy. The part when she falls back & the Asian Guy catches her WHILE She puts that leg into the Black mans arms! #3 Reinvention Tour

neutrocks Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Actually, it's hard to just name one from each show, but here I go... "Gambler" from Virgin Tour ("Dress You Up" Ties) The whole medley; "Dress You Up, Material Girl, and Like A Virgin" was fun from WTG. "Like A Virgin" from BA (Holiday was just as great) "Everbody/Everybody Is A Star" from GIRLIE SHOW (Like A Wirgin was awesome as well) "La Isla Bonita" from DW "Lament" from RIT (this performance just blows everything else away) "Like A Virgin" from CONFESSIONS TOUR (I love this updated version) "Like A Prayer" from S&S (though the whole Spanish section was awesome with YOU MUST LOVE ME)
paradise Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 was madonna the first artist to create a show in themed sections? i know everyone does it now, but i can't think of anyone doing it before her
Guest Pud Whacker Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Dress You Up from the Virgin Tour will never be topped! EVER.
acko Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 EVER. She topped that 5 or 6 times during the show itself.
Guest Pud Whacker Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 She topped that 5 or 6 times during the show itself. well, yes but that first moment, in the audience waiting for her to come on and then you got those hard drum crashes and wow...she descended from the stairs like a goddess coming down to the common people.
nobody_knows_me88 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Unfortunately I have only been to Sticky and Sweet. My favorite moment of that show was Miles Away. I had never really been a huge fan of the song until I heard it live. 2nd would be Candy Shop. From footage I have seen, I would most like to have been able to see Like a Virgin from CT and Nobody Knows Me from RIT.
Guest Not4Pussies Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 during future lovers when she heads to the main stage and she gallops or trots or whatever u call it with all the dancers love it!!

Guest orthocycline Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 where's the party chorus during music inferno was genius. the last CON.TROL + the dramatic erotica strings.. so perfect! i love when she shoots up when the drums kick in during forbidden love i love the vocoded living in a material world, and how it segues into the repeated everybody's in the hollywood interlude lament was flawless i love how papa don't preach didn't have any backdrops. just madonna and the dancers spinning and jumping around i love the sticky & sweet vogue intro etc
Guest ursaminorjim Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 was madonna the first artist to create a show in themed sections? i know everyone does it now, but i can't think of anyone doing it before her The first show I can think of that did that was the Prince Charming Revue, Adam and the Ants' 1981 tour. But I'm sure there were others before that.
Phantom Pain Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I also love the CT performance of live to tell that disco cross is incredible!!
Guest seancannon Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I also love the CT performance of live to tell that disco cross is incredible!! It's kind a snoozer, ya know a time to catch her breath and just hang around :lmao:
Guest seancannon Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Oh, Bill.. (And I agree with you; he's so annoying.)

Guest ursaminorjim Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Okay, what the fuck is going on with her hair here?
peter Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Okay, what the fuck is going on with her hair here? She takes the wig that she rips off one of the other Madonna-mannequins during "She's Not Me" and puts it on her head. As "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" plays she crawls back down the catwalk. As "Music" starts, she takes the wig back off and then I think she changes costumes slightly. (Adds the purple shorts.) She also usually put the BAT jacket around her shoulders while she crawled. Not sure if that was a quasi-James Brown thing or what. I'm not sure if it's all an explicit reference to something I haven't seen or not... It plays like it might be, but her "SNM" performance is so thrilling (vocals aside) that you kind of need the moment to catch your breath before she busts into "Music."
goldtooth Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 but her "SNM" performance is so thrilling (vocals aside) that you kind of need the moment to catch your breath before she busts into "Music." The fact that you said this without the slightest bit of irony made me chuckle. me chuckling
HolidayGuy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Mucho enjoyable moments in all the tours, but these stand out for me: Virgin Tour * Dress You Up: Great intro * Before "Everybody": "Every lady's got a box- but mine's different from other people's- mine makes music... but you have to turn it on..." * Burning Up: Smokin' hot performance Who's That Girl * The Look of Love: The dramatics on the treadmill * Papa Don't Preach; All the political/serious imagery during the instrumental bit * Like a Virgin: a rather silly (but fun) segment, but the highlight is when she segues into "I Can't Help Myself" * Who's That Girl: The haunting repeats of WTG at the end * Holiday: Love the "rock" rendition Blond Ambition * Entrance/Express Yourself * All of Act 2 (LAV/LAP/LTT/OF/PDP) * Holiday * Keep it Together Girlie Show * Why's it So Hard * Like a Virgin * Justify My Love * Holiday Drowned World * Entrance/Drowned World * All of Act 2 (Paradise/Frozen/NP/Mer Girl/SFH) * Lo Que Siente La Mujer * La Isla Bonita Re-Invention[/b} * Vogue * Nobody Knows Me * American Life * Express Yourself * Like a Prayer * Into the Groove * Crazy For You Confessions * Future Lovers/I Feel Love * Like a Virgin * Live to Tell * Isaac * Let it Will Be * Music Inferno * Hung Up (she looks very hot strutting down the runway in that leotard) Sticky & Sweet Could change when I see the show in high-quality DVD, but from what I've seen on Youtube: * Vogue * Into the Groove (jump-roping looks cool) * Borderline (if only because she sang it for the first time in 23 years) * She's Not Me * You Must Love Me * Like a Prayer
Guest Pud Whacker Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 virgin: dress you up until over and over. the encores i dont care much for anymore. back then it was perfect live in person. wtg: the entire show is flawless. blond ambition: great sections. bad sections. great live in person. the girlie show: the one i never saw live. love it from beginning to end. best vocals ever. she blows express yourself and holiday out of the water. drowned world: save holiday, its perfect. one complaint is the controlled vocals but i understand as she matures she cant let it rip ala wtg or she will lose it completely. reinvention: same as BA with brilliant videos. plus she mastered her wtg conveyor belt. confessions: her tightest show. the drama of drowned world fused with the fun and sexy of virgin. sticky and sweet: perfection.
