Any reason why Dido is flopping? Her last 2 albums were massive. Does she even have a single out?

I haven't seen her do any promo.

She probably fell asleep listening to her music

In the last month, McFly, Oasis, Coldplay and Boyzone have seen their consecutive Top 10 singles record broken - their latest singles didn't make it.

Active run of most consecutive Top 10. Acts with an asterisk no longer exist, but you never know, they may reform sometime soon :1251:

23: Westlife

19: Girls Aloud

15: Steps*

11: Destiny's Child*

11: 5ive*

11: S Club 7*

11: U2

11: Atomic Kitten*

Of course the record holder is Madonna, with 34 (from "Like A Virgin" in 1984 to "Secret" in 1994). The run was broken by "Take A Bow" which peaked at no. 16.

Burke has Xmas No.1 "in the bag"

Monday, December 15 2008, 07:48 GMT

By Michael Thornton

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will definitely have this year's Christmas number one, a major music retailer has claimed.

'Hallelujah', which was released online yesterday, is the fastest-selling download ever and its position at the top of the chart on Christmas Day is virtually guaranteed, according to HMV.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes also predicted that Burke will be number one, with spokesperson Nick Weinberg saying: "It's as close to a certainty as you're likely to find."

Burke won Saturday's live final of the ITV1 show, beating JLS and Eoghan Quigg to claim a recording contract worth £1 million.

The Girls Aloud Party primetime special attracted nearly 9 million viewers on Saturday night, sandwiched between The X Factor final's near-on 15 million-peak. Expect Out of Control to rank high in this week's album charts.

Leona sold 571k first week with A Moment Like This. I expect this to come close.

Also, if ANYONE is interested, 4 Minutes came second in the Record of the Year. Nickelback was first :confused:

What a COMEDOWN. This show used to be on primetime network television a few years back. Now a paedophile reads out the results in front of a chest of drawers...
