Its time to rank the MDNA tracks again

So is MDNA really that bad of an album that most "fans" turn it out to be? Rate it here so that we can track how high is the MDNA hate. For me its a great album, much better than HC, AL or BS. So lets see:

1. GGW - 8/10, not her finest moment, but the live performance did really put it up there. Great way to open a show. The vocals are kind of strange, but it IS FUN

2. Gang Bang - 6/10, I dont really feel the song, its cool, but I didnt love it 2 years ago and I dont now;

3. I m Addicted - 10/10, it should ve been the lead single, either this or Love Spent is the best song on the album, it shows that she really did write this, it has the Madonna "touch";

4. TUTR - 9/10, its a great song, but the chorus is a little bit repetitive, it could ve been killer if she worked more on it, great vocals;

5. GMAYL - 6/10, its kind of (forced) fun, but I cant get over the fact she chose this as the first single, not bad or irritating really, but far from the best here;

6. SG - 10/10: everything is perfect here, the wistles, the robotic voice, the coldness of the beats, could ve been a single;

7. Superstar - 3/10: it sucks, always skip it, not fun, not cute, its just there.

8. IDGA - 10/10: what AL should ve been; rap track done right; single material;

9. I'm A Sinner - 10/10: great melody, lyrics, vocals. I cant see how one can have a problem with it: the only minus is that it somehow musically is reminiscent of Beautiful Stranger and Amazig, but both are great songs.

10. Love Spent - 10/10: the best song here. Could ve been even better if the vocal were some kind of Falling Freeish... Love the live version too. Should ve been 1st or at least 2nd single.

11. Masterpiece - 10/10: its a great song, tender and warm.

12. Falling Free - 10/10: another single material, amazing vocals, melody, lyrics; I d like to hear more songs like this from M;

13. BK-10/10, the only relevant comment here is: WHY IS THIS a bonus track?????????????? Its perfect;

14. I Fucked Up - 3/10, she fucked up, she did a boooooooooooooooooooooring song at last, its not even irritating;

15. B-D S - 0/10, its not clever or funny, its horrendous;

16. BF - 3/10, always skip it, its just blah.

As a whole MDNA is a very solid album with alot of amazing songs and a two or three bad tracks.

Look, the live performance of the song is indeed godly. There's nothing to criticize there, everything's perfect. She did a nice job with the music video too, love the overall look of the video and her style as well.

The album version still does nothing for me, though. She starts out with an amazing intro, but what follows after the 30 second mark ruins everything particularly great about the song for me. Especially those vocals and the production, ugh horrible. TUTR is a fun song and I like it because it totally sounds like a Madonna song, in the vein of 'Holiday'. There's nothing Madonna-esque about GGW though, I still stand by one of those first comments after the song was leaked, it sounds like something even Britney probably would have rejected. It's just horrible. One of the worst songs Madonna ever did. And then this thing as an album opener, ugh. No, it's too much. Just horrible.

All the tracks are great almost two years later, but GMAYL and B-Song still should have been kept off even though I like them. Still surprised so many long time fans don't like it as much as previous albums. The album and tour were a real highlight in her career!

I love Some Girls, great tune! I played it so many times.

Even though I would make some minor changes with the album (specifically: get rid of GGW and B-day Song, change the lyrics to Superstar and tweak a few other songs lyrics, release different singles such as I'm Addicted, Love Spent and Gang Bang) I think MDNA is a wonderful album, always have. It's very fun, upbeat, infectious. She still has a great ear for melody. Basically GGW through Love Spent is a dance-a-thon. Just this morning I was dancing to GMAYL.

2. Birthday Song (I don't get the hate for this. Kind of back to her Breakfast Club/Emmy days. Love it)

3. I fucked up (love this too. But I think using the f word lowers the tone of this one)

4. Best friend . Some nice elements but some of the lyrics and vocals are annoying

5. GMAYL remix(what's the point?)

Oh and Love Spent acoustic would be no.1 of the whole lot!

It's got some good songs but it's just too all over the place for me, it's like a compilation, doesn't feel like an album in the way of that albums that preceded it. You can't even re- jig the album and get a decent flowing feel or tracklist, impossible to do. It's a half assed album that's for sure, even though HC isn't a favourite of mine you can at least tell she put effort into it.
