danniilo13 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 After hitting # 111 in the UK last week before it's official single release (due to downloads alone and little airplay), Girl Gone Wild bubbles under the US Hot 100 once more at # 108. This is a positive sign and will $urely give Madonna another dance hit on the clubs proceeding GMAYL. horn Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 First it was Apr 16th. Then pushed back to Apr 23rd. And now... The UK single for GGW has ONCE AGAIN pushed back to May 14th. This sounds more and more like "Beautiful Stranger". I have a feeling they will cancel this single to boost the album sales.

The CD single is out tomorrow in some countries with the picture disc out next week. All European copies are made in Germany, so there is no manufacturing problem or they'd all be delayed until May. The real reason is that Universal UK haven't got a clue what they are doing.

Only Germany will be the first to see the overdue CD single on 27 April. However, the UK release was illogicaly pushed further to mid-May! By the time other territories see a release, Madonna would have already started her tour with another potential-blunder-of-a-single TURN UP THE RADIO unleashed, not to become a hit-single, but for the purpose of heralding the MDNA Tour only. But even better news is that Universal Music is also putting the finishing touched to a physical release for the remixes which will come out in the form of a Remix CD EP very soon. Fans of the talented Avicii will be happy to know that the "Madonna vs Avicii" mix of "Girl Gone Wild" will be part of this long-awaited release.
