Nightshade
Where was Music ranked before getting up to 21 in Germany? Was it as low as COADF? Yep. Music was resting at No. 84 before the Drowned World Tour opened in Barcelona. After the tour kick-off in Spain, the album rose immediately in to the Top 40 and then eventually up to No. 21 after she did 4 shows in Berlin. And the thing I don't get is that she played to fewer people in 2001. Her four shows at the Max Schmeling-Halle venue had a total audience number of about 44,000 - which was about the amount she played to in Dusseldorf alone. promise to try
maybe COADF was already more successful than Music in Germany...
HolidayGuy
DWT also was her first tour in nearly 8 years- so it had even more hype and excitement than the last two. And, maybe Berlin is an area that causes greater impact, who knows.
promise to try
and we don´t have to forget that Music had a new edition out during the DWT, which is only going to happen in Japan with COADF
Guest Hafo
Album leaves the charts in Switzerland, but the 3 singles are still charting in the Hot 100; HU even raises to #55 this week (its 44th) and it's now the 23rd highest single ever pointwise in that country. Will it make it to the Top 20 overall and 1 whole year in the chart????

Nightshade
Does anyone have GT full chart run in Europe so far? Thanks! I am assuming you mean on the European singles chart? 84-26-19-30-34-28-18-22-25-30-46-80-(this week not yet known) Also, COADF is up to No. 17 in the Netherlands (up from No. 28) after her stops in Amsterdam. In France, the album falls 9-11 (how weird).

HolidayGuy
What's weird about France, that it dropped just 2 places? Great hold! Are there official Russian album charts, so we can see impact after the concert )next week, I take it)?
Guest Hafo
There is only a "official" Russian airplay chart. No album sales that I know. Perhaps a retail chain own chart?

Guest Moskovit
RUSSIAN EDITION?!?!?! Yes, it came out only last week, I guess. Before it all COADF copies (CDs) sold in Russia were imported from Germany, except cassetes. Russian Edition is, so called, re-print. Re-prints are manufactured in Russia, and they are much more cheaper than imported disks, though the royalties Madonna will get from them are the same. There are cheaper, because it's cheaper to manufacture CDs in Russia, as there are no logistic expenditures and custom payments. Very often there are no booklets inside re-prints to make them cheaper and more competitive with pirate disks. There are also MP3's of COADF, I think almost all of them are pirate. Nightshade
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe COADF has fallen out of the German 100 albums. Also, "Get Together" has dropped out of the European 100 singles this week.
