SHOCKER here in Detroit!

CLEAR CHANNEL has flipped "FOX COUNTRY" WDTW/DETROIT to Rhythmic AC "THE BEAT." Promising "maximum music," THE BEAT is playing 10,000 songs in a row.

On September 4, 2009, after three years of struggling with the country format. The Fox was dropped at 12pm, with the last song being "Shuttin Detroit Down" by John Rich, follwed by "Into The Groove" by Madonna. The station also began running 10,000 songs in a row commercial free.

They play Madonna every 2 hours!!!
